Sitting in a hotel room in Thailand 28/03/2024. I have a hangover and it is my birthday. I just took a few moments to truly listen to that. Utter class. Even the singing works but, Jesus, can that man play.
mick taylor is a super nice guy. i met him after his show in woodstock, ny a couple of years ago. they set up a table and he signed anything one wanted. i got 5 autographs out of him
Truly one of the best blues guitarists ever !!! In the TOP 5 !!! For those who still don't know it, go and listen to MT's soli on "Love in Vain" with the Stones, 1972, Ft Worth... Outstanding...
What a MASTER , not only of his playing , but of his equipment . . Mick Jagger GIVE THIS HERO 20 MILION DOLLARS!! He deserved it ! Step up to the plate and do what you should ! ! !
Fans ignore how Jagger appreciated Taylor. They composed many great songs together : Time Wait for No one, Moonlighmile, Sway, Winter, Till the next goodby. When suddenly Taylor said that he left, Jagger was really sorry. But as Jagger said "it was difficult for Taylor to get along with Keith". Taylor never taught he gonna stay always with the Stones.
I think Mick Jagger should give Mick Taylor 20 million dollars PERIOD!!! I read that Taylor is in financial trouble . . If I had 520 million dollars,I would absolutely give Taylor , at least 20 million for the positive things he did for The Rolling Stones. . . C’Mon !!!
One of The great máster of The Blues, taciturn or silente guitarist, I dont Need publicit y to illuminate, how much the RStone would regret his departure, great máster of The Blues 🎸
He is so amazing to listen too. Different than any other guitarist I've ever heard. I think his true genius is his arrangements. His guitar work on time waits for no one is a masterpiece
Taylor said he could never see himself in the Stones, forever. He gave a variety of reasons for leaving. None, rang true. Living on the road, playing live to vast audiences takes it toll. Especially when drugs are always available. Either single, married,. It’s obvious Jagger & Richards loved his contribution.
What makes him a true man is that he refused Jaggers invititation to join the band on a regular basis. He felt the responsibility to care for his family and his health which the Stones slowly destroyed. He was becoming a seroius heroin addict and without quiting the band he problably wouldn't be alive today. It was the best decision he ever made! What do you want to do with much more money that you can spend and being as popular so that you can't even buy some milk! Well done Mick!!!
One of the great Bluesmen. Too bad the Glimmer Twins treated him like a second class hack. The Stones classic era started and ended when Mick Taylor joined and later quit.
This is why I don’t like Rolling Stones. Mick Taylor was always, and still is much better guitarist than Keith Richard . Look at the Chuck Berry Session to laugh, Richards must felt relieved when Taylor left the stones , as he saw a rival in Taylor. Keep on Mick Taylor .
@@fuelsmell Taylor and Richards had different rolls. Keith is a rhythm guitarists and riff master, while Taylor is a lead guitarist genius. They do different things. BTW, Richards is the greatest rhythm guitarist of all time
the pure zone. Petty gets it. Dylans got it, Mick taylor does it.........if it wasn't for bad luck Get it Got it Let me spell it for ya EXILE ON MAIN STREET is Mick Taylor
right. Bigsby made vabratos for Gibson as well. This one looks like my Les Paul Standard cherry burst with a Bigsby and different pickups. Never seen that somewher else.
Everything the Stones did is Keith's sound.Nobody, except Jagger and Charlie, was more important to that sound than Mick Taylor. He was a 19 year old kid when they auditioned him, from John Mayall's band. Brian Jones created the band, and Ron Wood keeps the faith. But neither has had the creative or musical impact of Taylor. The fact is their best music was created in the Taylor years--Let it Bleed,Sticky Fingers[with a young Ry Cooder],Exile,Goats Head Soup,It's Only Rock and Roll.

Happy belated birthday and I hope you enjoyed your time in Thailand around the end of March 20245
Right on man...me just sitting here blowing smoke in my bourbon...cheers.
I saw him play in 1969 and 1972 with a backup band called the Rolling somethings... He took them to a true greatness.
That he did!
Nice One, Mr. Bernstein. Thanks.
I can listen to this guy play all day and night long
...we can see and hear that he wants to do it better everytime he plays,it's really unbelievable.
AMEN!!! ❤
Mick Taylor is a master of note choices, note inflections, vibrato, tone, expression, soul. I guess that adds up to a pretty darn good guitarist.
CHOICES great word; he made choices live with The Stones; sorry but thereafter they just played to get it over with
keith richards basically said what you're saying how he would just master the guitar like no other person and the choices too
He tells band how to move
It just flows out of him, like water in a stream. What a talent.
YES! Water in a stream!~ thank you Grey........
And he is not recognized for his greaat slide guitar work.
Er wird auch viele Stunden geübt haben... 🎈😉

Seeing the Stones live here in Australa was one of my life's thrills. 73 was the year and Mick Taylor was and still is the best.
Mick was / is such a great guitarist ! He brought magic to the Stones.
This creativity would not have been nurtured if he stayed in the Stones.. One of the greats..
Dear Mick, you are just smoking good!!!!!!!!!
Mick Taylor, along with Mick Ronson, easily my favourite guitarists. Both had absolute mastery of their instrument,in both feel, sound and technique
Excellent! A true masterpiece! One of Mick's best performances. Sounds like a complete encyclopedia of modern blues...
i just wish i could click like a 1000 times
A true master of the blues guitar. One of the very few with that gift.
Taylor is soooo freakin good it'l make you cry.
Greatest Blues Guitarist I have ever seen. Saw him with the Bluesbreakers in Bournemouth in 68. Saw him a number of times after. The greatest.
So cool, let me just reach in my pocket and grab my slide. I'm plugged in now time to jam. Thanks 4 the inspiration.
So fine,,I grew up listening to this fella,,the best there ever was,as far as I'm concerned..an he's just noodlin around here..

What a MASTER , not only of his playing , but of his equipment . . Mick Jagger GIVE THIS HERO 20 MILION DOLLARS!! He deserved it ! Step up to the plate and do what you should ! ! !

the main reason was songwriting credits. he'd have stayed had they paid for his contributions.
Really great. The band sound right and Mick is pleasingly loud enough to be heard clearly. I wish Jeff and Eric had followed his choice of guitar.
The Taylor era was the Stones at their
very best, lets hope with keith
on the wagon , Taylor will consider coming back!
Taylor is NEVER coming back. Jagger never takes people that leave the stones and Richards is friends with Ronnie Woods and would never do that to him
Brilliant !
Ron Wood cannot play Blues like this not even in 100 years
Great..!!!
Man i just found this and subscribed so i'll be back! thanks !
That guy in the crowd yelling Keith, this is Mick Taylor........
He's saying STEVE probably calling a mate YO
guess this must have been fixed by the time I saw it; looks so fine and sounds so very fine to me;)!
Great music!
El mejor guitarrista de los Stones unico fabuloso!!!!!

The Stones lost a massive talent when he left. Great under rated player
He was to good for Stones. And they knew it
Superb!
Thanks!!
I would have loved to see Mick an Rory G play together oh well maybe in heaven!!!😊😊❤

The Mick Taylor Era

MICK ALWAYS KILLING
Naïvely, I was hoping for Mick Taylor to be invited to team up with Keith and Ronnie on guitar for the HACKNEY DIAMONDS album...
He’s incredible. Made the Stones ten times better.
I think this was recorded at NightStage, in Cambridge , Mass.
Correct. Nightstage. Tripod shot.
I saw him there once or twice, maybe even this show. Max Middleton on piano...
the pure zone.
Petty gets it.
Dylans got it,
