Slight correction. Night City is built on Morro Bay CA. This is like 2 hours from San Jose and separated by the coastal range, so you wouldn’t be able to see the neon signs. The game map vaguely lines up with real life, but it’s interesting that joshua trees are that far north.
I’m so happy you mentioned REO Meatwagon! Also, I would’ve mentioned that many corps will work you so hard that you end up spending any excess money on cyberware so you can perform better so they end up working you harder. Hey, great video!!
21:05 Actually, during the Time of the Red, there was an app called "Garden" that basically functioned like social media. Idk, what caused it to disappear by the 2070s, but it was fun.

So after re watching this video. If i lived in NC. I would probably work for low level Militech position. And do side gigs like deliverings or basic jobs for corpos. For food, get whatever corpos get but slightly cheaper. If i live outside NC around where Rivers lives. I'll try to grow some food with my neighbors. But if that is not the case. I would try to live as close as downtown NC. Less crime but i would be safe. I have to get a gun and basic training. Working for Militech will probably provide you with the basics. Without being a soldier for them. Also, i won't fight a war for them since my very low position. People take BDs for granted. You can learn so much like cooking, business knowledge, better help for mental stress, military training, and tactics. You would more than likely have to buy them from local Fixers. You can not buy the cheap stuff. Definitely try some of those BDs Judy made.🤣 (V got a cheap BD and almost got his/her organs and cyberwear taken by Scavs.) And as for Cyberwear. I would try to buy some tech for better mobility. One fancy eye like V had. The less tech i have the less chance i have on getting hacked or targeted by scavs.
Heads up: I think you're talking about shards, not BDs. You'll need some brain and AV implants to make use of them, but thankfully they're pretty standard by 2077, so much so that Humanity loss isn't calculated for them.
I mean when you think about *try* surviving night city you can isolate yourself from all Tech based items and move to a bunker, lock it tight. And pray to whichever god you believe in that some cyberpsycho with literally missiles for arms and high on Glitter don’t knock down your door and reduce you to atoms.

just so you know .. according to the official lore of the table top game, "night city" is what is known as "battle zone" *NOT EVERY SINGLE CITY IS LIKE IT!* the rest of the world IS by all means a dystopian digital disaster. however! the world the game is based on "the table top game's lore" is separated into 3 areas .. 1- unlivable space taken by pollution 2- civil spaces where one can live a very normal ordinary life 3- battle zones where rules don't exist the common theme among all these is .. the fact corporal giants control everything. Night City is NOT the only battle zone, and it's NOT the only place to exist with endless legends and mercs everywhere it's merely the place where V's story take place at.
I love the cyberpunk universe and the setting of the world. I am not asking much just a Spider Murphy gf at my side in some random underground hideout and explore the old net artifacts with her.
I'd be lucky just to survive another day in Night City. The worst thing that could happen is that i get kidnapped by scavs and tortured to death in the process of making an XBD. Being "deep fried" must have been painful beyond imagining.
Be the assistant to the secretary of an executive, you're never a target, you'll get decent employee benefits like health and housing in an alright area, if someone wants to get to the executive they'll go after the secretary before you're even on their radar, you'll probably have a nice working environment because the pervs who you work for will be more interested in the secretary than you, and you're job will be mundane but very easy because nothing important will ever come across your desk, and as we saw in Edgerunners, even people who work for an executive are able to get their kids into the Corpo Schools and they didn't seem to be targeted unlike outsiders like David, so you're family are guaranteed a much better life than most

Best way to survive NC is staying out if it as much as possible. That said, if I have to get close, I’d try to get on the Aldecaldo’s good side. You’re rarely in danger not of your own choosing, you’ve got a solid support network provided you’re accepted by them and as long as your gonk leader doesn’t strike a deal with BioTech, you most likely won’t be turned into a werewolf
That one ripperdoc was super buff and V can remark on it, Viktor is no walkover either since he beat that one gang that showed up and sent threats after. Man i Love your Videos about the Cyberpunk World and Lore. Is there any Lore how NC is governed how the day to day administration works, and how its relations to its neighboring states are?
This video has me thinking how cool it would be if CD Projekt took a little more of an old-school Bethesda approach and slowly led the player into the larger conspiracy and story but if you wanted to just ignore that and be an everyday cyberpunk and do side quests and just live in night city that could be cool too. When I play this game I do sometimes wish there were more pass time activities to engage in beyond the quests
My V in Cyberpunk is not only a mercenary but also a vigilante. He eliminates all the criminal factions and kill all their bosses. My V dont negotiate with criminals, dont stealth his way through the missions like a coward, he just fight head on and love to challenge every bosses including adam smasher. He always seeking for fights
When I lived in my town and saw Cyber punk I thought it was actually mind blowing how big the city was. Now I moved into a real city and Night city looks pretty small
I've never lived in a city before. I have no doubt I'd die a swift death without getting unearthly lucky and probably make me want to give up a thousand times. I'd probably be a Scav (ironic, seeing as how I hate Scavs) and then use whatever chrome I could get my hands on. I'd REALLY want some mantis blades and probably a cyberdeck or a reflex booster. Both would be ideal. I think I'd make a decent netrunner. I'm distrustful and misanthropic so this would make working alongside others extremely tricky if not near-impossible. If I managed to find an inch up, however unlikely, I'd try going solo or work for a fixer. All while slowly breaking down my mind and body, but to heck with it.
I don't think scavs hire outsiders, especially unsure ones. Like VDBs, they're from a certain geographic/ethnic set, specifically eastern europeans. If you're willing to join a Set (gang) you'd have an easy enough time joining 6th street so long as you pass as sufficiently patriotic and anti-corp. Assuming 2020 hasn't become entirely non-canon, there actually are a bunch of gants that are quite welcoming to green thumbs, and a few that act more like vigilante polics than criminal orgs. IMO as a netrunner you'd be better off starting solo until you get scouted by a fixer/vigilante gang/netwatch, or just joining a corp. Very few gangs really respect their runners so joining a set as a new netrunner wouldn't be worth the trouble. Gangs in NC are for people who live in meatspace but can't swing a corpo gig or find a start as an edgerunner.
@@JustForGaming_Alt-kf8lz Reason why I said 'be a scav', not 'join the scavs' XDDDDD I would have a hard time trusting anyone so I'd just feast on whomever I could find/disable.

Involuntarily become a X-BD star. And all that only if you somehow make enough to afford food and shelter.
It's like being poor in the US today, just cranked up to eleven. I seriously doubt you would make even a month.
Why would there be thousands of Vs
You are terribly underrated my friend, i love your videos, wouldn’t change nothing!
Thank you so much dude that means a lot!
You're videos are so awesome and amazing. You honestly make Night City seem real when explaining the history, while splicing in game footage (dang it's a beautiful game... now ha). I truly wish they had made a "Guide to Night City" portion in Cyberpunk Red book. It's my favorite part of all the source books. I feel like you just did it, so thanks!
Please keep on making cyberpunk videos!! You're not anywhere close to being done with all cyberpunk lore
This is one of my favorite videos on TH-cam! It’s basically the low magic version of cyberpunk. What if you weren’t the hero? Love it.
Slight correction. Night City is built on Morro Bay CA. This is like 2 hours from San Jose and separated by the coastal range, so you wouldn’t be able to see the neon signs. The game map vaguely lines up with real life, but it’s interesting that joshua trees are that far north.
climate change
I’m so happy you mentioned REO Meatwagon! Also, I would’ve mentioned that many corps will work you so hard that you end up spending any excess money on cyberware so you can perform better so they end up working you harder.
Hey, great video!!
21:05 Actually, during the Time of the Red, there was an app called "Garden" that basically functioned like social media. Idk, what caused it to disappear by the 2070s, but it was fun.
Thank you for this awesome video! I love Cyberpunk and love to see this types of videos that brings me even deeper into the world of Cyberpunk. ❤
For the NC lingo, I would add the term "still" which replaces "photo" but it doesn't seem to be used too often.
02:51 enters southern california, more spefically san jose??? dawg san jose is at the top, san diego is at the bottom...

How to survive NC: *_Leave._*
And take your best Chooms with you while you're at it!
I don't think it's hard to survive in night city. It's probably just hard to be an edgerunner/cyberpunk.
Mike Pondsmith is a genius.
Amazing video concept! I did always wonder how a regular joe would be in this craazy city! Being V definitely makes it seem like it's plausible but we forget V is comparatively borged out! Lol 🤣 great video choom, i absolutely love your cyberpunk videos and i truly hope you keep at it. Sending some love from Texas!
Ill save you 44 mins guys. The answer to surviving Night City as a normal person is to Leave.
Definitely try some of those BDs Judy made.🤣
(V got a cheap BD and almost got his/her organs and cyberwear taken by Scavs.)
And as for Cyberwear.
Biotechnica will flatline you for growing food, choom. And in a corporate war, a position in militech could make you a target anyways.
@@guy3295 They had a vice grip on food during the Time of the Red. They would either buy out independent stores or send others to take care of them.
We're so back chooms
I mean when you think about *try* surviving night city you can isolate yourself from all Tech based items and move to a bunker, lock it tight. And pray to whichever god you believe in that some cyberpsycho with literally missiles for arms and high on Glitter don’t knock down your door and reduce you to atoms.
Or AI invasion from beyond blackwall there is some foreshadowing about it especially in phantom liberty not to mention 5th corpo war but that depends on ending
@@The101Shadow Well if the 5th corporate war does happen and IF Blackwall AI gets involved. its practically Game over. like some Skynet 2.0 will pull a Fallout or something.
@@The101Shadow Imagine the world full of AI like the one we meet in the Reed ending 💀
Really well made video mate!!!!
Superb content! Well done! Any future ideas of making content about the fall of the net?
Many thanks for your awesome work, WiseFish!!!
Babe wake up WiseFish just dropped another cyberpunk video‼️
Correction: The city was supposed to be called Coronado City (next to Del Coronado bay), NOT Colorado city.
Having a blast playing it right now
just so you know .. according to the official lore of the table top game, "night city" is what is known as "battle zone"
*NOT EVERY SINGLE CITY IS LIKE IT!* the rest of the world IS by all means a dystopian digital disaster.
however! the world the game is based on "the table top game's lore" is separated into 3 areas ..
1- unlivable space taken by pollution
2- civil spaces where one can live a very normal ordinary life
3- battle zones where rules don't exist
the common theme among all these is .. the fact corporal giants control everything.
Night City is NOT the only battle zone, and it's NOT the only place to exist with endless legends and mercs everywhere
it's merely the place where V's story take place at.
Wisefish uploaded another video and i am like it's gonna be a good one
I still feel like Trauma Team is probably the best and most moral employer in Night City
The research work on this video! hats off to you for making me learn about lore when im approaching 500h in game and watched 10s of lore videos!
I love the cyberpunk universe and the setting of the world.
I am not asking much just a Spider Murphy gf at my side in some random underground hideout and explore the old net artifacts with her.
I love Cyberpunk
I'd be lucky just to survive another day in Night City.
The worst thing that could happen is that i get kidnapped by scavs and tortured to death in the process of making an XBD.
Being "deep fried" must have been painful beyond imagining.
Have you ever played Escape from Tarkov?
The lore behind that game is really interesting. And you’re a great storyteller!
As one of the people working on the new Night City 2045 source book, this was a really cool look at things!
Things to do in Night City!
1: Leave.
I miss so much this game... Playing the game all over again is not the same...
Be the assistant to the secretary of an executive, you're never a target, you'll get decent employee benefits like health and housing in an alright area, if someone wants to get to the executive they'll go after the secretary before you're even on their radar, you'll probably have a nice working environment because the pervs who you work for will be more interested in the secretary than you, and you're job will be mundane but very easy because nothing important will ever come across your desk, and as we saw in Edgerunners, even people who work for an executive are able to get their kids into the Corpo Schools and they didn't seem to be targeted unlike outsiders like David, so you're family are guaranteed a much better life than most
Watching this while reading the CEMK and the Red Core book so I can do the TTRPG... Someday!
Thanks for immersion, w video :)
great Hitchhiker's guide to Night City with no spoilers 😊 especially for those who dont bother reading every shard and info drop in the game (most streamers lol)
I've been looking for a video like this! Very well done thank you!
Babe wake up wisefish just posted
Weirdly enough, I wouldn't mind living there. I'd even say that it looks quite nice. The city I live in irl is basically already night city but without entertainment anyway
Really enjoyed that, I already know the lore but you presented it well and found about Hand's real name.
Great vid! one thing though, it's huscle (hired muscle)
this is such a fun and easy to understand framing for cyberpunk lore. i have 400 hours in the game and only just now learned what scop is... i wish i could go back to not knowing ❤
I think the "Wise", decision here is to make some money then gtfo.😂
I would take my chances with the Nomads.😅
Love you bro keep up the good work. I can’t wait to finish this video. Your cyberpunk videos always keep me drawn into the world. You could just talk about this all day.
Love this! I would hate to live in Night City, honestly, but this lore guide was really incredibly well done, as usual! xD Well played.
Wicked video bro, super informal 👊🏾cyber punk one of my favourite games OAT
I can see you doing more videos like this. A few examples like Deus Ex Machina, Fallout, Bioshock and Oddworld.😮
Please do videos on Oddworld.😅
That’s the plan to do loads of these sort of guides for other games. Oddworld would be interesting 😂
How'd I survive Night City? Easy, I join a megacorp as a janitor and keep my head down and mouth shut
Hopefully in the sequel they'll add some kind of gang or faction system to call for back up, sometimes I wish I was able to do that in this game.
Can you do a video of life in night city after the bombing of arasaka tower?
That one ripperdoc was super buff and V can remark on it, Viktor is no walkover either since he beat that one gang that showed up and sent threats after. Also that one gang that takes his bullet chain in case of the 2 years coma.
Being buff will help a lot. Work out, get trained. Be ready to punch out a dude.
Also make sure you pack.
Great vid man!!
Great vid choomba! ❤
I just wish I could change out my bed for a memory foam bed I spent a lot of time sleeping on it and then when I wake up a little bit late I got a lot of fucking pain in the lower back man
I feel that certain parts of the world emulate night city and are trying to make it a reality. At least the dystopian parts anyways.
Im becoming an adeptus mechanicus with everything that entails
They're basically functioning cyberpsychos anyway, so they'd fit not too badly 😂
Accually great vid mate, Thanks👌
THIS WAS WAAYYY TOO GOOD!!!
Thx for posting
Be one of the NPCs that sell clothing at the nicer shops, that's like one of the only fairly safe spots in Night City.
day in a life of a maxtech officer would be interesting too
This was such a fun video to watch! There’s actually a video out there thats about finishing cyberpunk 2077 as a normal person😂
love this video!!!!
Great video mate
My V in Cyberpunk is not only a mercenary but also a vigilante. He eliminates all the criminal factions and kill all their bosses. He dont choose the peace options when negotiating, he chooses violence and eliminate every criminals to make night city safer. My V dont negotiate with criminals, dont stealth his way through the missions like a coward, he just fight head on and love to challenge every bosses including adam smasher. He always seeking for fights
You let the city drag you, kicking and screaming, to your death. That’s how you survive night city.
When I lived in my town and saw Cyber punk I thought it was actually mind blowing how big the city was. Now I moved into a real city and Night city looks pretty small
15:20 - refference to how V used to sleep)))
'eeeeeeeeeeey new wisefish video
awesome
Honestly it’s better to live in the Badlands, since you won’t have to deal with a lot of issues that city folks have to deal with.🐱
Yeah just gotta look out for Militech and the rogue nomads
Not gonna lie, the slangs of NightCity Lingo blew my mind.
@@JustForGaming_Alt-kf8lz I couldn't join a corp either. I could do all sorts of horrific things like weeding through someone else's guts, but I can't bend my belief system and smile well enough to make it in a corp.
