- Join me in the kitchen as I prepare a meal inspired by seasonal ingredients. This is my one pot meal take on cabbage rolls. Tosh from @toshselfpropelled dropped off his @harvestright freeze dryer and I've been working on some recipes to enjoy in the backcountry together. Super happy with how this comfort meal came together. I used my favourite @AthleticBrewing NA beer to pair. Let me know what you think down below! Can't wait to enjoy this meal (and many more) on an upcoming canoe trip this July.
Looking good bud. Happy to see the freeze dryer being used to make such awesome meals.
Can’t wait to hear what you think! Thanks for letting us take care of it for you.
Your meals always look so delicious I know Tosh will enjoy this one also sorry to hear you hurt your knee😊👍
Thank you for watching! Yes I think he will! Thank you for your condolences. I’m healing up well and getting better every day!
Very good 👍
Thank you!
DUDE, how did I not know you blew your knee out! Jeezzzzzz, seems like the year for injuries. You, Evan, I fractured my foot! Speedy recovery brother! That dish looks phenomenal. I may have to hire you to make a few meals for one of my bigger trips!!!!!!!
Thank you! Feeling much better every day! Have booked some trips coming up. Speedy recovery to you too. Maybe one day we will have some meals available to the public 👀
Lots of similarities with my Hungarian family recipe. We use ground pork with either a ground bacon square or sausage meat. We use Old Bay seasoning and paprika but not the herbs…. just a couple bay leaves in the sauce. However, we layer them with sauce in the pot with sauerkraut. Sooooo delish! Great served with sour cream as well. Would love to see you try a chicken paprikash!
That sounds delish! I was going to use bacon but fatty meats don’t freeze dry well. Old bay! That sounds like a good option for seasoning! Maybe I will give chicken paprikash a go! Could do it with nokedli!
@@CAMP_KITCH yep, that’s what we do! Bacon is definitely too fatty, but could use a turkey sausage meat with the ground pork, but your recipe with just sausage meat is probably delish!
This was an awesome video and I shared the heck out of it 👍🏻
Was that sausage veal or pork or?
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed! It was with pork octoberfest! But you could use any meat spiced with warm spices!
