Finally! I have it in OD Green which was part of the October 2023 capsule OD Green collection and still in the 420D High Tenacity Nylon like the regular version. Here's my logical reasoning on why the key leash is placed in the vertical access panel aka admin panel. You wear the bag on the left strap, you swing the bag vertically on your left side, then you open the vertical access panel and voila. The vertical access panel is on the left side, it's more for those who prefers to wear the left strap only. That's the reason why Evergoods had a mirrored version on the CPL28 if I'm not mistaken where the vertical access is on the right side to favor the right strappers, and that was just a one off version. I am a right strapper since I was born so to wear on the left strap feels very unnatural to me, it's worth trying.
Agree about wanting EG to experiment more. Even if that is adding in more color options. Give us bright blue or signal blue, ultra red, burgundy, etc. Once I picked up the CTB20, I sold my CPL24 with the plan to grab a CTB26 at some point. But I really, really, REALLY want something other than black or coyote brown. And, if I can be really selfish, ecopak.
I have a CPL (just reviewed it) and the handles are a deal breaker for me. The most uncomfortable handles I've ever had on a bag. I see you usually add paracord to your CPLs which shows you probably aren't a fan either 😊. Huge fan by the way and one of my inspirations to start my channel. Thanks for all the great reviews.
I love your videos. Keep 'em coming. I am a bit of an Evergoods Fan Boy, as I have the CTB26, CPL16, PLC20 and a CAP2L. I'm waiting to get a hold of a couple of CAP half liters. However, working from a base theme and making variations is a good way to go. Function is not compromised between the different bags and allows you to alternate between bags without changing your packing style. (I spent two years watching channels, like yours, to determine what pack I wanted.)
@@mr_red13The CPL16 is currently my "going to work" bag. It's a thinner bag; thinner than the CAP2L. It can hold a 16" MacBook providing you pack that first and then the rest of the bag. Otherwise, you'll have to "squeeze" the laptop into the bag. If you want to go to the coffee shop, and you're a minimal packer, it's good bag. Streamlined and sleek. I just came back from a cruise and I used the PLC20 as my daily excursion bag (I wasn't carrying a laptop). It fit extra towels, suntan lotion, and all the stuff you need for a one day excursion. I don't have the CTB20, not yet at least...
@@ThePerfectBag I use the CTB26 weekly. I live in Saratoga NY and pastor in the Bronx. It works better than my Swiss gear 31L. When flying it gets away as a personal item as it fits underneath the seat with a little room to spare.
Just got the black/coyote today. Finally a backpack thats fits perfect on my back. Really like its higher up on your back. Great review by the way! Cheers from Sweden
A well designed and solidly made bag, for sure. However, the handgrip on the side of the bag does seem to be a bit off balanced/off center....offering limited utility. Otherwise, there is a lot to love about the CTB 26L. I think I'll save my money for the next (larger) Goruck bag! LOL.
2:30 I don't have an issue with the appearance of xpac (I actually like it a lot) my issue is the functionality. The material is too stiff and can't break it in even after months of using
Great review, Klint! Unfortunately returned my CTB 26 in Xpac today…had the back digging issue which I don’t have on my CPL 24 or MPL22. Totally agree with you about EG trying some new things!
And there’s no refunds on that bag….maybe you could try a regular CTB26 on for size and then return it for the Griffin if you have no issues? Or see if anyone near you has one to try on? Any MPL, CPL, CTB should work to size it.
Wanted to love my first EG bag in the CTB26, but unfortunately the bottom part of the back of the bag dug into my lower back and I wasn’t able to get used to that. Returned for a full refund.
@@Goalier95 personally i can’t stand the thick plastic panel piece in many backpacks now, i appreciate at least evergoods makes them removable. i have a ctb and a plc i’ve taken them out of and i love the bags even more now.
That’s my collaboration with CTactical - the Sun Bear. It was a limited edition, so if you want that one you’ll have to hunt it down used. The CTactical Facebook group is the best place to find one. You can search my channel for Sun Bear to see the bag.

Have the same one, would trade it for the current capsule with gusto

Grab your Griffen CTB!! Im so excited.
Thank you! I love evergoods. My daily is the griffin cpl24!
I agree with you on making different bags... Evergoods do make great bagsa...especially the Duffel
That duffel is particularly good. Did you see that it was inspired by old-school doctors bags?
@@ThePerfectBag no that is cool though Waiting for mines to come in

Would you recommend the CPL16 or CTB20 for an edc bag to coffee shops and out with family and such?

I haven’t used them yet! The smaller version I mean

Looking at the ctb26 griffin...... Do you think that I'd have the "digging in your back" complaint at 6'4"?
Man………I don’t know. I haven’t and I’m 6’2” - but it seems all over the place in terms of who has problems.

I haven't tried either of the smaller bags - so anything u say would be pure guessing
Chz also has bottle pockets 🙌🏻🤙🏻
That seems to be a new Azo equipment bag in the background there.
The new version or the previous one?
That's the Rabel - old version not new

It's the zero gains for me. 😂
What backpack model is the one behind him to the left with patches?
To my left? If so, Greenroom136 Northseeker Wildcard Custom
My apologies, my left viewing the screen lol black one with what seems like swords crossed as the logo on your right
