i am not regretting buying your jazz course at all. You are such a generous with your knowledge and sharing this for free. So much respect to you, Noah. This is such a great addition to my exercise... keep up the good work, Noah! I hope all the best for you.
@@febilogi thanks so much! Really happy to hear you’re getting a lot out of the course, and appreciate the comment, always means a lot to read. Cheers!
Thank you so mich for these videos! When I started playing jazz paino, I felt super lost and with no estructure, but I believe your method of approaching one tune at the time to the fullest is the best way to go!✨
Great video/study guide. Helpful approach. Even if you’re familiar with the techniques, when working with a new tune, starting basic and adding to it is a great approach (doing something similar in my lessons with Michael). I think your level 4 worked out best, I aspire to really have this solid. And having the basics tighter will help. Level 5 was a bit vague, was hoping you would also discuss sidestepping and planing. Perhaps in an additional video? One critique: you know I do have several of your courses, including Reharm, but I feel the examples need more context, especially in terms of tunes, as you do in this and other videos. Perhaps a few addendums? I could easily imagine a couple of lead sheets incorporating these (and other) concepts, with each labeled appropriately to the concept.
Dear Noah, Thank you very much for this precious fee lesson. But here you do not explain how to reharmonize as well as you d, a Song, but you just show up an example on this standard. Please could you tell me where you teach it in detail (even buying) with all the tricks to get it as well as you do??? Thanx again !!!❤
@@brunodesimone784 Hey Bruno, sure, I talk about it in detail in my Jazz Piano Secrets course Week 11, I believe, as well as in my Reharm & Resolution Mastery Course.

Awesome lesson Noah !! That song #3 sounds like something that Vincent Guaraldi would play. I love his work, especially on "Charlie Brown Christmas"... Them solo's in the interludes are mind blowing Haha :). You are killing it !! Amazing LOL.
Hi Noah!!!!! Why don't you write some piano solo pieces where are applied all Your marvelous harmonic motions? I have many of your books and I think that , if you put all this material together, You could produce dozen of incredible arrangements!!!!!! So we could study and play rhem as true compositions from which to take inspiration!!!! Thanks !!!!!! Paolo from Florence Italy
Great video, Noah, so much great information. One thing I notice is not just the voicing, the grouping of notes used, but also, how the notes are played, as in the melody, then the rest of the notes or the melody note and the lowest note, and then the inside notes, or the lowest note arrpegiated up to the melody note. I believe this aspect of playing isn’t discussed nearly enough but is an important factor of technique. Videos on this subject are hard to find.
Yes, that is what I mean. Sometimes the melody note is played and then the rest of the chord, or maybe the chord is rolled from the bottom up to the melody note, or all the notes at once or the melody and the bottom note together and then the middle notes. This variety of ways to play a chord is as important as the chord itself that adds to sound of jazz. The "how" a voicing is voiced is a under discussed topic of jazz played especially important in jazz standard ballads. I guess I could include inner voice movement technique as well. Keep doin' what you're doin'!
You are the best hi level piano jazz teacher on youtube. For saxophone Chad is the master. You and him are insane. Thanks for the video.❤
