Thank you buddy! Yes, mosquitoes 🦟 are bad here too! We call them our “state bird”😂 I agree 100% on the the center diff, but a slipper does the job very well so I can’t complain. It handles amazingly especially when most of the time there is almost always one or more wheels of the ground. Thanks for catching the video Evan and dropping a comment! You Rock🤘🏽😆
have a good time! D12 has increased the shock absorber stroke and heightened the shock absorber bracket, all the tie rods have been thickened, and the swing arm has been thickened, especially the ESC has made the third algorithm upgrade! Give RLAARLO some more time, our R&D department is working on the chassis structure of a new small-scale model! Definitely worth the wait!

This one looks really nice Robby! Rlaarlo makes some really good RC. I didn't even know this buggy existed. I don't really follow Rlaarlo much anymore since they completely stopped replying to my emails. They used to be very responsive. I guess I got turned off by the fact that they refuse to even respond. I guess I didn't make enough sales for them. LOL I don't mind buying stuff but it sucks when I was one of the first channels to review for them and now they won't even reply to me. Oh well. I'm glad they are continuing to make quality stuff. I know, I look like a big baby! HAHA Great job on this review as always. Very honest and thorough!
Dude, I remember. We were both one of the earlier reviewers of the Rlaarlo Brand.Think was was like one other guy who did the first review on their red 1/14 scale buggy, then you, and then me. Sia was the rep then, and she was awesome! Think she has made a lateral move in the company, and since then,it is now Marven who does the customer relations and Amazon sales. Contact now seems to be mostly through their group on FB. It’s all definitely changed. They’re definitely growing, improving their rc’s and still listening to customer feedback on their social media page. I really wanted to buy the 917 but, they were showing early hints of this desert buggy and I knew I wasn’t going to be able to purchase both. So I waited for this buggy and with no regrets. It’s more my style anyway😜! You definitely have a right to feel however you feel. I don’t and won’t hold any of that against you buddy! LoL!😜 it’s always great to hear from you bud! I look forward to seeing your next video. Love your new thumbnail as well!✌🏻😃

Thanks brother, I very much appreciate that! Yes finally a good solid weekend weather wise to come! 🍻😎 To answer your question ; I’m quite often looking for deals on Amazon, ebay, Ali Express and Banggood. About every other month I try to be in a position to purchase an Rc . I try to keep my purchases under $150. Criteria is something that interests me and my interests,(pretty much any rc 😆) . There is more out there than people realize, so I search and research much of the new stuff coming out. I only purchase Rc’s that seems like they have a lot to offer fun wise. They have to have parts support and some kind of customer service. I usually will join the company’s social media pages and stay in the loop for special offers. Once in a great while I may get a product invite to try something for an Honest review. If I can’t do an honest review, I won’t do it at all. Most of the stuff I purchase, I am genuinely intrigued with from the beginning. If I’m wrong about the rc and it is lacking, I’ll call it out. About 98% of the stuff I buy ends up at least meeting my expectations. Some companies utilize one platform for many vehicles. In this case I usually buy one example to represent all the others. If one of my reviews helps a newcomer who may have limited funds get into the hobby without breaking their budget, then that makes me happy. Hope this answers your awesome question my friend! Hope you have an outstanding weekend My dude! 🙌🏼✨☀️🍻😝
It is so fun and smooth man! An awesome steed indeed! wish I had a nice Bmx track to put this on. It would be insane! thanks for the kind words my friend! Take care!

Congratulations! Did you get the AM D12 from Rlaarlo? Or one of there other cars or trucks? I’m really happy for you man, welcome to the hobby! I personally think that yes , even though that Rlaarlo borrows heavily from WLtoys, they are a bit more refined . Mostly in their chassis upgrades, suspension and power systems. I do think that they seem to apply grease where it is needed, while WL toys puts very little grease if any in their drivetrains. That in itself would make their cars sound and seem to run much smoother. Thank for the positive comment and for watching!😃😝
@@BangForYourBuckRc Awesome! Yeah, i got the red/gold AMD12, straight from Rlaarlo! Seems like the RC gods nudged that box straight into a delivery van after i left that comment. I am new to RC cars. I just received my Rlaarlo and when i reduce the throttle switch... the car's reverse function no longer works. Cab anyone help and tell me how to fix this problem?
Welcome to the hobby Jason! You wouldn’t know the model of the one that you purchased would you? Is it the one shown here on this video? If it’s the one in this video you may have adjusted the wrong dial. “Throttle spd” adjusts the spd you want your car to go if you were to hand your transmitter to a kid. Throttle D/R allows you to center neutral between forward and reverse. For instance; if you turn Th D/R all the way forward, you will only have fwd and no reverse. If you adjust more towards reverse you will slowly lose your forward and have more reverse input. I hope I helped if not just let me know! Good luck 👍🏻
I got the AM-D12 as shown in the video and I changed the bottom right dial that says "TH" labeled 100, 75, 50, 25 on the stock remote/radio that came with the car. When I change the dial it definitely increases or decreases the speed. In 100 or 75% its fast and can reverse. In 50 or 25% its much slower but reverse will not work. I hope I explained it good enough to understand. Maybe I am just turning down the wrong dial but that is the throttle "limiter" dial according to the manual.
@@jacobstanley2498 you explained it perfectly. Top right dial should be set @ or ~ 0, and lower right dial will control throttle speed in %. I believe this controller you have bump reverse for the brake and “reverse again to engage reverse. Keep me posted. Not at home but at work so may not be instant reply. Will keep checking though! 👍🏻 Good luck
Those are all channel functions to their perspective number. If you wanted to switch things around, you would be able to do so by changing these dip switches. (I just leave them alone)
Yes! Glad you got one. They are super fun! You should of got some little grub screws in your spares kit. On bottom control arms towards the retaking pin. There is a tiny hole that you thread each grub screw into to your desired height. The tiny screws do come with instructions and diagram on how to do this. Just take your time and don’t lose those tiny screws!😂✌🏼hope this helps!
@@alanmtb9927 yes you can still fiddle with suspension position and geometry too, but that usually will affect handling in some -/+ way. Adjusting the droop screws will only affect ground clearance To bring the bottom of the car closer or further from the ground. Good luck and Take care brother!👊🏼😎✌🏼
You gotta do something with your mic level. Can't hear you hardly at all, even on my good sound system on my TV. I would wear a headset with a boom mic or a lapel mic with a fuzzy on it to help with wind noise. It sounds like you have an omni-direction mic on a tripod like 10 feet away from you in this video. On top of that you've got background music playing the WHOLE time, which makes if even harder to hear your quiet mic and harder to hear the RC too.
@@r0ckworthy Thank you! I appreciate your feedback back my friend . Nope was using any special Mic . Just the Mic that’s built into my phone. That’s all I have. It is what it is. If I get back into producing content I will look into getting proper equipment at some point hopefully.
My arms haven’t broke yet , but those turnbuckles pop off fairly easily in my experiences with it. I just snap them back on! Thanks for sharing your perspective! Something to watch for.👊🏼😎✌🏼
well, i'll got against the grain and say i'm very disappointed it's just a tiny bit more than a "reskin" of existing buggy (kinda like the original Losi Lasernut) whenever i see the Lasernut style, i think Ultra 4. Ultra 4 buggies/trucks are a very cool combination of "go fast" and crawling... this thing here cannot crawl :( longer swing arms, longer shocks, portals, smaller chassis tray.... something to make it at least look like an attempt was made to make this thing able to crawl (and no, i do not mean compete with full on crawlers, that's not the point) oh well... the search continues :(
How’s it going my friend! Sorry to hear that your disappointed with this one. So I take it that you have one one of these AM D12’s? I honestly have not tried any light duty crawling with this. Now you got me curious and I’m gonna try it. I don’t think it’s geared for it however. I have been using it as a rock bouncer and stump jumper and it works pretty well on terrain that requires steady movement, torque and wheel speed. This does pretty well considering at stuff like that. Much like a bomber, or Wendigo , but with out all that torque steer. Of course one thing to remember is that this is limited by independent suspension as well. So it’s not the best candidate for portals. As far as for its intended purpose, low to high speed thrashing in the sand, grass, skipping through fairly deep mud holes, jumping, landing and so and so… it does quite well. I do value and very much appreciate your comment however. Hopefully you find exactly what your looking fo brother!👍🏻😎🍻✌🏻
@@BangForYourBuckRc No, i don't have one, but it's easy to deduce based on the detailed upgrades list presented by EdisonRao in another comment :) Plus, it's basically a smaller Losi Lasernut, which sucks at crawling. while others (like the Bomber you mentioned) suck at speed portal boxes can be made for independent suspensions [take a look at Jordan Pellegrino's Lambroghini Ultra4 car, for example]. other measures can be taken to make it a better crawler (like the aforementioned smaller chassis tray) it's just sad, so very sad to see yet another Ultra4 body on yet another generic basher/buggy. imagine if there were NO rally RC cars available, and then companies started releasing generic street bashers that suck offrod with rally car bodies. that'd be pretty sad, right? well, that's the same thing here (and elsewhere... i think only the Vaterra [RIP] Twin Hammers was an attempt at a "proper" Ultra 4 RC car)
@@praetor47 I’m not doubting the portals on IFS, but to include that would raise the cost even more . @ it’s reg being $230 US. It’s already expensive. Rlaarlo on Amazon had been offering a $50 off coupon , which puts this (price wise anyway) where it should be. It’s got enough torque even with its larger diameter tires to blip over quite a bit of stuff. Low speed modulation isn’t quite crawler spec, but is better than I expected it to be. I don’t believe this is intended or advertised to be a rock hammer. It’s a desert buggy, which in real life , you don’t see tackling crawling with out some modification. I have however been telling Rlaarlo to make a true Crawler for a while now. I’m hoping more people will request it. Crossing my fingers😬! Think I’m gonna try crawling with this and will post a video on this. I’m sure others feel the same way you do. Thanks for the conversation brother. I do really appreciate it! 👊🏼😎👍🏻
@@BangForYourBuckRc yes, it's advertised as a desert truck... but it has the body of an actual Ultra 4 car :) (like the officially licensed Losi Lasernut, which this one is copying nearly 1:1... unfortunately a bit too much :/) a well made 1:12 or thereabouts offroad truck, like Rlaarlo's usually are, is not expensive at 200-250$. IS portals would make that significantly more, yes... but they're not required to make this a much better truck at crawling :) (un)lockable diffs. a rear solid axle. 2 speed... that's minimal effort as that's all stuff done by chinese manufacturers at roughly that price point in bigger vehicles than this one :) i don't appreciate the lack of effort, 'cause the offroad/crawling performance difference vs the X12 is barely noteworthy, if it's anything at all. why even bother with an Ultra4 body then?
That looks solid! Rlaarlo is making some good stuff!
It sure is and they totally are Troy! would love to see a true crawler from them!

@@r0ckworthy Just went back and d rewatched entire video. I could hear everything loud and clear. Hmmm 🤔…?
This is one very cool RC and it takes some abuse.
Yes it certainly does! Thank you for you for your great comment my friend!😎👍🏻
Bro riarrio short course trucks rwhere I started so please make one
James
Riarrio it would be 🔥 if u made one ,short course...
Trucks 😬
Are we like the only ones??😝
It definitely rips
surprised me too being only on 2s! I may Try 3s , but if I do I may strap that big Spare tire to the front of the rig!😆
Tires look like fake pro line hyrax crawler tires
Hybrid Krawlers....I like'm.
yeah, they got wicked grip too!
That was 38 mph on 2s?
Yes sir!
Push the body clips all the way in
i hope Rlaarlo just needs to focus on durability.. the arms are weak.. brittle plastic parts.. 😢
My arms haven’t broke yet , but those turnbuckles pop off fairly easily in my experiences with it. I just snap them back on!
Thanks for sharing your perspective! Something to watch for.👊🏼😎✌🏼
3s 3s 3s 😅
Yes it handles 3s!! Will be sharing that soon! I appreciate your comment! Buddy!👊🏼😎👍🏻
38 mph on 2s are you kidding me.
No Boss, not kidding. 2s 38mph👍🏻! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!😎👊🏼
💭🤔Not worth the money totally overrated company
The two I already have can go back free of charge
Ouch, what happened ? That wasn’t my experience
with either Am-x12 and Am-D12. I’m sorry to hear that man😞
well, i'll got against the grain and say i'm very disappointed it's just a tiny bit more than a "reskin" of existing buggy (kinda like the original Losi Lasernut)
whenever i see the Lasernut style, i think Ultra 4. Ultra 4 buggies/trucks are a very cool combination of "go fast" and crawling... this thing here cannot crawl :(
longer swing arms, longer shocks, portals, smaller chassis tray.... something to make it at least look like an attempt was made to make this thing able to crawl (and no, i do not mean compete with full on crawlers, that's not the point)
oh well... the search continues :(
How’s it going my friend!
@@BangForYourBuckRc No, i don't have one, but it's easy to deduce based on the detailed upgrades list presented by EdisonRao in another comment :) Plus, it's basically a smaller Losi Lasernut, which sucks at crawling. while others (like the Bomber you mentioned) suck at speed
portal boxes can be made for independent suspensions [take a look at Jordan Pellegrino's Lambroghini Ultra4 car, for example]. other measures can be taken to make it a better crawler (like the aforementioned smaller chassis tray)
it's just sad, so very sad to see yet another Ultra4 body on yet another generic basher/buggy. imagine if there were NO rally RC cars available, and then companies started releasing generic street bashers that suck offrod with rally car bodies. that'd be pretty sad, right? well, that's the same thing here (and elsewhere... i think only the Vaterra [RIP] Twin Hammers was an attempt at a "proper" Ultra 4 RC car)
@@BangForYourBuckRc yes, it's advertised as a desert truck... but it has the body of an actual Ultra 4 car :) (like the officially licensed Losi Lasernut, which this one is copying nearly 1:1... unfortunately a bit too much :/)
a well made 1:12 or thereabouts offroad truck, like Rlaarlo's usually are, is not expensive at 200-250$. IS portals would make that significantly more, yes... but they're not required to make this a much better truck at crawling :)
(un)lockable diffs. a rear solid axle. 2 speed... that's minimal effort as that's all stuff done by chinese manufacturers at roughly that price point in bigger vehicles than this one :)
i don't appreciate the lack of effort, 'cause the offroad/crawling performance difference vs the X12 is barely noteworthy, if it's anything at all. why even bother with an Ultra4 body then?
Thanks buddy!
