Doing Web Spider first mean you have to backtrack later on after defeating Magma Dragoon just to acquire the heart tank. It's pointless to do Web Spider first when you can get Jet Stingray and Split Mushroom items without any other special ability.
Did you use that short segment from fonarto's "Into the Rebellion" for the stage select theme? It sounds a little different than what's publicly available on the internet. Did you modify it?
Using Rakuhouha removes Zero's hitbox for a moment. Lets him ghost through attacks. The saber does pretty massive damage to General if you hit him right.
Is there a way to trigger phase 2 Sigma to do the eye laser attack? For me, about 90 percent of the time he does the stupid homing boomerang one, which is 5 times harder to evade, no matter what I try.

Don't know why... . but general weakness is "The first slash of zero" in the head. Just repeat every step that I did and you will kill him with those few hits.. don't do the second slash of the combo, just cancel with dash the combo in order to do 1 hit at time.
Jeez. In my opinion, X4 is the easiest out of all games in the Mega Man X series. All of the "fortress" bosses are jokes (save for Sigma). I can honestly say I've never died _even _*_once_* to either Double or Iris. As Zero, it is ideal to attack relentlessly. I admit I never would've figured out *General's* weakness (as Zero) on my own. :D
Chris Jimenez, I'm not him, but yes, X4 is far easier than X1. There are little to no roadblocks, the armor is not even necessary to damage Sigma first two forms unlike X2/X3/X5 that make you incredibly squishy without it and decrease your damage output and there's no annoying bosses/sub-bosses. I completed a run as a kid with only the leg and head parts and the only part that was difficult was the trash head of Sigma (the plasma shot is a blessing against that). I even completed the game with Zero first and X later. That's how easy it is.

Dash Cancel? I guess that is what it is called. 19:38 This thing where it looks like you are canceling the attack's animation and frames. Anyways, I thought of SSB from watching your mannerisms and character controls when the screen idles. You behave that way in order to keep fingers warm and play better, or so I suspect. Reminds me of SSB.
hey. To help further elaborate, in order to help Zero to "maximum" dmg the developers did not force immunity frames on bosses for Zero's first two slashes which wuld allow him to hit with his powerful third slash. However, you can use a technique call Saber Dash Cancel (SDC) to ultimately spam the first slash with a dash and then cancel that very dash with a slash. allowing for an infinite first slash which does not cause Immunity frames on bosses. In so doing, each of the 1st slashes will do dmg equally into a ton of dmg if done properly. Hope this helps. :D
When you get a heart item it increases your max but doesn't actually give you the health, just the max. Thus, it looks like he took damage every time his max health goes up.

For Split Mushroom I use Zero electric ability on the clones and on Split Mushroom for no damage
