The chemistry these two had in the movie was nothing short of mesmerizing. Sometimes there wasn't even any dialogue between the two; just their eye contact and body language spoke volumes!
The eye contact alone pulled you in...it’s difficult to successfully display emotions in a film without words. Both actors were brilliant .. the trip to Miami was VERY necessary for Chiron.
I have watched this movie several times and the diner scene gets me EVERY TIME ... I wanted to be together so bad, Chiron deserved to KNOW that kind of love.
I like their thoughts on how your childhood shapes you. But I think it is important not only to focus on how the bad things shaped you, but also the good things. Of course the all the bad stuff that happened affected Chiron a lot, but the reason why he could grow up and still be so much in touch with himself and his vulnerability was because he also met people who showed him that he was perfect the way he was.
That last question! Look at those smiles and hear that joy in their laughter!! Wow. These two are incredible actors and wonderful, beautiful men. Cheers!
