Hello, a good video of you. I have a question.. When the production time is 200 min. and the sum of the task time is 13 min. its mean that the company only can make 15 boat. So how the company fulfil the demand which is 60 boat per 200 min??
Hi there. Sorry for the delay. You are right, the company can output 15 per hour, but is for 1 workstation. Since the minimum number of workstations is 4, that works out to 60 boats (15 x 4). Hope this helps. Mark
I understand the calculations of balancing an assembly line but I got an additional question on my paper: "Explore if this balance could be improved?" What points should I include in my response. (its the second part to a question where I already balanced an operation and computed the efficiency).
Sorry but I can’t answer that for you. It sounds like it’s for school and I want to respect your instructor and let you think about how you could improve the line. Put yourself into that line and think about what changes you could make.
The assignment was already submitted and I am just looking for feedback. I didn't answer the second part well, only performing the balancing with a different heuristic. @@The_Business_Doctor
