Civilization 5 intro: Welcome back my son, I miss you. Gods & Kings intro: You must tread carefully, my son. Brave New World intro: Greetings Comrades, let's speak about our 5 year plans.
I think the Old Man represents the last generation of hunter-gatherers, whose line lead this group of humanity out of Africa and through the Ice Age. His young son, meanwhile, is the first generation of Neolithic farmers, who turned humanity from wanderers into civilizations.
I agree, he also reminds me of the Biblical patriarch Abraham because of the time period and because Christians, Muslims and Jews all consider him a father of their civilizations.
Yeah apprantly from what i've reading persia and midle east in the ancient time (chalcolitic age) used to be very fertile place and there is not much of desertification taking since there is not much people to begin with so no agressive agriculture or pastoralism.
Nice re-edit & combination of the 3 Civ V intro cinematics! Civ V is still the most recent of the Civ series that I'll play (love the Civ VI intros, but the gameplay was too different for me).
that was amazing. the ending of the 2nd game's cinematic should've have conjoined with the ending of the entire cinematic, well before both title screens. That would've been even more awesome.
When that guy's son steps out of the tent at the end, he was thinking, "What the fuck was that all about?"
An old man in 10'000 B.C. : "the development of mechanized warfare...regimes spread their ideologies..."
His son who doesn’t know what bronze is: 🤔

Civilization is like modern day chess. Brilliant game, those cinematics giving me goose bumps they are so good.

Civ is my favorite game series of all time, and 5 is my favorite of them all... so far.
Same!
@@Otisdub Well let's hope VII will be more in direction of V
I love the Gods and Kings intro music so much.
Wow. Never saw this before. Nice work Bongo! ❤
The last scene, apparently, takes place in ancient Iran; when there actually were 4 or 5 rivers flowing into the Gulf.

Cool video, well done :)
Wow, this is epic! Well strung together, and a brilliant story.

I cannot stand Civ VI for a similar reason. Gameplay and the Art style turned me off from that game.
So the science victory is canon
