Counselling Empowerment Day 2024: Danny Jones

Our Counselling Empowerment Day 2024 was created to inspire, empower, and provide valuable insight to qualified, trainee, and aspiring counsellors. The day offered an opportunity to learn about a variety of counselling experiences and skills, and good practices in business and professional development.
Danny is a Counselling Coordinator for the Denbighshire Independent Young Persons’ Counselling Service (DIYPCS). He has been in clinical practice for over 10 years. His core training is person centred and he has postgraduate training in Focusing Orientated Psychotherapy and is also a trained DBT and EMDR therapist. He has worked as a counsellor in higher education, private practice, and for the NSPCC and currently coordinates the school based counselling service for the DIYPCS as well as being a school based counsellor. He is passionate about making therapy more accessible to males.
