I'm a complete beginner & like your teaching style a lot :) Do you have a video showing how to track the eyes AND apply a Photoshop effect .... maybe Spherize (to make googly eyes) ? Thanks
Also don't forget to hide the null object from composition by turning off its visibility.
I remember first time when I had used it, it drove me crazy because it didn't click my mind until hours of frustration

Otherwise a dotted red rectangle will be visible in your video.

The issue Im having is that when I set the tracking point(cause Im just using one for position), and hit play, the scene doesn't move AT ALL, unless I hit stop this I see one or two tracking points. Also when I do hit the STOP button it zips to the end, so now I end up with a long continuing keyframe point. Why is this, and how can I correct it?

Anybody having issues with the transparent PNG vanishing when the Pickwick is dragged to the Null layer?
ISSUE RESOLVED: If you watch the video the Pick Whip that is dragged to the Null is on the far right. On my version of After Effects mine is the one located towards the left. The takeaway is that you must be 100% sure that you are dragging the "Parent and Link" PickWhip not the "Track Matte" PickWhip. Whew.....
