4:29 I know its been 2 years but the reason they didn't have all this background on Berlin in the first heist is because they came up with it in the middle of the show.
Berlin's actor said he felt a brotherly connection to the Professor so both actors ran it by the writer and the writer said they were crazy. They started acting out scenes like they were brothers anyway and the writers put it in eventually

Nah I think the direction of Berlin character was great!!! Having all his back story only come now after he died just makes him a more powerful character... If we knew it then we wouldn't want him to die, but after his death knowing this now just makes up want him back but it's already too late... We had it both ways with Tokyo
