    So for reference, a complete kit with accelerator pump costs $110 from this site. 2 years ago when I was rebuilding a cx500 that hadn't been registered since 98 (on my channel if you want to see) I rebuilt the carbs, pouring over many websites, waiting for shipping times, and from my records paid almost $150, nickle and diming me to death buying all the small parts individually. I didn't see great reviews on the cheap ones from Amazon, so I generally avoided those. This is fricken amazing dude, I may just buy another dilapidated cx500 now just so I can use this kit and feel like a champion the first time lol.

      The fact they charged so much but the kit doesn’t come with new floats, air fuel mixture screws, needles. I followed brickhouse builds and built my cx500 but after buying the kit, which i feel like i was scammed out of money, i still had to buy another kit that actually came with new floats and needles and i have jets coming. This was the biggest scam i seen in a while!! Im extremely disappointed with this so called rebuild kit and the review im gonna do is going to reflect that when i go live!!! So if anybody is reading this, do not buy this kit, there are cheaper kits and you wont have to deal with the POS Kurt!!! Smfh never again

    CB750s gonna get some love in the future😁. I love the idea and concept behind this kit....this is something I would support. Me and my dad rebuild my 80' 750 carbs about 4 years ago, and that wasn't cheap, and was tedious trying to get quality parts. Sadly, I had to reuse some parts because some parts were not readily available or just cheeply made long story short we got the bike to finally idol which it wouldnt do from day one of me owning it, but small issues rose like blow back thru carb on cylinder 1 which is a fire hazard 🤦‍♂️another story for another time so i parked the bike 3 years ago havent touched it since....

    another little tip when removing press fit jets.. or any jet really.. especially if they are especially corroded and stuck bad.. apply a little heat on the outside of the housing with a heat gun or torch first.. not too much.. just enough to expand it a little and help break it loose... heat is always your friend when taking things apart..

    This will be another life saver. I can't tell you how many rebuild kits I've bought only to use maybe 2 parts out of the whole thing. It looks like the float bowl gaskets fit a lot better, it seems I'm always fighting to get those to fit. I'm hoping this will work for my 82' GL500. Off topic but I am going to convert a cx500 engine from CDI to TI for another GL project. Have you done this? Is it just as easy as switching the firing guts? Keep up the great Vids my Dude!

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The right parts definitely save time! The gl500 will be the same so no worries. As far as converting to TI you should be able to swap on the pickup, pulsers, spark units, a d right coils to make it work

    • @NoSlogan
      @NoSlogan 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BrickHouseBuilds Excellent on both those things! I have a complete GL bike just the engine was problematic, then I broke the camshaft (long story) and made it more problematic. So picked up this 78' CX500 engine that's in really good condition. Figured I would just run it instead of yanking the cam out and putting it in the GL engine. I've never done this swap before but I've read on the cx500 forum of others having good luck. Something about the black and white wire coming out of the right handlebar controls though. Like it needing to be in the off position to make it run? Do you know what they might be talking about?

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I really need to ask you about this nozzle you are mentioning @18:08. I checked mine thinking sure let's give it some clean up and it turned the nozzle wasn't just clogged up but was actually just solid piece of brass, as if no orifice was event meant to be there ! How can it be ? How does this acc pump even work if these spray jets are not even spray jets ?!

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's not solid if it's there. It's and extremely tiny orifice so easy to look solid

      I know Murray makes a good kit but I feel many go that route because they feel the stock carbs are too complicated. Usually it's a simple adjustment that is off. I've always had great luck with stock carbs on stock and modified bikes

    What about needle and seat?

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For these carbs it is best to not replace the seat as that determines the float height. Cleaning them is usually enough. For the needles, unless they are grooved you can usually reuse them. It is critical to get the correct size as they again determine that float height

    • @BrickHouseBuilds

      Its all managing vacuum and flow volume. Various orifice sizes compared to air and fuel passages all work mechanically together to give the engine the correct amount of fuel and air when it needs it

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Its to aid in visibility. Remember these are not only aimed at experts but also beginners so making things easily visible is important. You can immediately see if you missed a screw or something.

    • @kmcarburetor
      @kmcarburetor 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are a few reasons for that. The kits need to be user friendly, readily available, and stand up to international shipping. I would love to use paper instead, but for this application it just isn't feasible. If we just shipped everything in a paper bag the kits would arrive looking like a soup sandwich!
