She's mentioned it before about how she loves the idea of doing things like that, but the lighting bug is just annoying. While it is a style in southeast Asia, lighting and shadow bugs definitely are not the style. lol The best you could do here is put in big arches as doors instead which ruins that idea of just like a whole wall being open.
That stupid house in Glimmerbrook with the missing door at the back of it drives me crazy every single time I look at it but I always just chalked it up to not enough time to finish it or EA was just trying to troll people knowing it would drive a lot of people crazy LOL Great build once again Kayla and hope sweet little Snap is doing ok!
I'm definitely not well-versed in this (as I live in Canada) but homes in a lot of tropical climates tend to be more open than this to allow for more air to circulate, it's a gorgeous build but the original seems a bit more true to life (if annoying for gameplay) Edit: before anyone says anything I'm aware Kayla lives in florida but florida is not as hot as SE Asia (which is the inspiration for Tomarang) and most American homes also tend to have AC which is less common in SE Asia from what I know

I'd rather the style be more fitting for the game than being so true to life, which is what she aimed for here really.

This may seem kinda random but in many cities in South Asia (I'm from India so that's mostly what I mean) where we have the low toilets there's usually also a western one for accessibility reasons as you can't really make a wheelchair accessible bathroom with the traditional ones, so it would be cool if you were building more with this style to do that too! Great build as always!
i think some things, the shape of the roof, the overhang, and the dim lighting are features of this type of architecture in real life and made more sense with them. this version does look more detailed and lush though! i think for this build it would have been better to get references for real south east asian buildings. (also the fact that the two tables on the bottom floor are at different angles is aaaaa)
Lbr rental feature was not ready even when it was released 🙈 i also really dislike how some stairs, if u like turn them any way, it shows through a wall.

Hey simsie i have an idea for a challenge: every room is a different colour filter but you can only use items that are mostly another colour for example you spinn red and there is a blue couch with red pillows under that filter u can use it but u can’t use a red couch! Idk if this even makes sense e isn’t first language
My boyfriend is Filipino and the original build def gives old traditional architecture that I see there. It’s unfortunately accurate 😔 however, your build is beautiful and I also hate the weird indoor outdoor lighting so yours seems more enjoyable.

They easily could've had simmers make lots for this pack. At the very least, non-rental lots would've been an obvious choice. Even for the rental lots, they could've had the simmers make them as normal residential lots and then convert them to rentals later
Your builds are always WAY better than EA builds. They should hire you to redo their entire original builds that happened before they started working with Creators. You and other builders of course cause that is a lot of work. So happy Snap is slowly recovering. It'll take time but the more time passes, the more she heals. Those soft cones are so much better than the original hard plastic ones. The Sunflower one on Snap is actually cute but I'm sure she doesn't think so. lol It's hard to see your fur babies sick but Snap is lucky to have you care for her. Snap is so pretty. Hi Snap. Didn't think about that until you said the names of the packs with the missing items, Kayla!
Simsie you were stressing but around the 19:00 mark you started thinking through it and it came together!! I love the vibes of it. I think what works for these spaces is clutter tbh. The rugs help add more interest, but having items on the table helped too. I liked when you switched up the chairs too because it was more versatility

The CAS isn’t really usable but I do use the furniture more often than I’d care to admit😭 I bought it for the tripod, literally only used it once and never again. It works fine, no problems my end. Maybe consider another pack to add to your collection if the *only* selling points for Moschino are the poses and the cameras
