All these streams and Volition recent activity on Saints Row stuff is SCREAMING a New Saints Row Reboot, something about the ending on Gat Out of Hell with Gat in the Interrogation Room...
That was for the setup of Agents of Mayhem. Hopefully they will reboot the series back from SR and SR2 days just with better gameplay mechanics like SR3. If they do it won't be anytime soon due to the layoffs at Volition.
People complaining about AGENTS OF MAYHEM as if it were super terrible.. When in actuality (if you're into continuous shooting & looting) it's a bit more entertaining than it seems. I mean sure.. admittingly it may not have been as interactive as the avrg SAINTS ROW game.. yet in reality nor do I really think that it needs to be either! As long as players had the chance to upgrade & alter Character Skins with Vehicles & Power-ups.. this game had the right approach in order to be a bit different from its predecessors as it was somewhat along the lines of being a formula for a 'new I.p. Strongly tho.. I feel AGENTS OF MAYHEM deserves to be its own parallel entity to SAINTS ROW within the 'Saints Universe as it did provide a creatively playable bridging gap between GAT OUT OF HELL and SAINTS ROW.. with that being said - further thought can prove AGENTS OF MAYHEM very well paves way for Stories & Plots which can plausibly take place upon Alternate Planets & Dimensions rather than Earth/Stillwater.. thus providing VOLITION to branch The New Mayhem Saints into fresh ideas. Ultimately players can be faced or teamed with newer 'baddies & characters. In particular.. I really enjoy the Overwatch/ G. I. JOE approach with the characters and stories.. the still-life panel scenes & voice overs are a great addition for preserving graphical space as well as to get the point across as to what is going on within each episodes (really brought memories of fav Saturday morning cartoons).. not to mention the subtle tie-ins to Saints Row humor doesn't bother me at all either & I was at least glad to see some references being made to SAINTS ROW in order to reassure that the game is very much still a part of the timeline in a few ways. Still AGENTS OF MAYHEM (for the most part) was action packed and I like the optional means of traversing the Open World.. However I did find it to be a slight shame that there was only roughly a 12man playable roster to unlock.. which could've also been justified by adding the use of Unlockable Villains with their own episodes & plot lines.. Another thing that was also a slight shame was the lack of Multiplayer & Versus Modes.. There's not a day which goes by that I don't catch myself daydreaming about battling other players online within the Open City of SEOLE.. I like the 'Critical Hit System Rag doll Physics & Explosions that was implemented in the gameplay as it is always refreshing to note that head-shots & special attacks matter as things get hectic at times. Now although it appeared to be a bit calm within the Open city.. I like the idea that it can all be switched around by causing a little 'mayhem on innocent drivers & pedestrians as the A.i Aggro develops.. The game feels rather perfect for what it is as many would class it as a 'spin-off.. I like the thought that it gives SAINTS ROW an opportunity to somewhat compete or even parody the likes of say: CRACKDOWN & OVERWATCH and even SAINTS ROW itself!.. even if it may not quite be on the same level.. at least it can allow the VOLITIAN Crew to aim at expanding upon its potential in gameplay in order to provide something new or different for the time being. In closing however.. AGENTS OF MAYHEM has great potential & aside from all the purposely placed negative feedback from those who may have experienced some early glitches -or- hoped A.O.M would've been SR5 - my fingers are crossed that VOLITIAN CAN STILL RELEASE A WELL ROUNDED SEQUEL FOR AGENTS OF MAYHEM which provides MORE UNLOCKABLE CHARACTERS (protagonists & villains alike) MORE CAMPAIGN EPISODES with CONTENT & ONLINE VERSUS MODES as well as MORE ZANEY POWER-UPS & ASTHETICS FOR ALL CHARACTERS.. as AGENTS OF MAYHEM is Still - GG in my books! A.O.M.2 Let's Get It!!! Thnx4reading - if u did.
Gentlemen, I have a gaming channel on TH-cam called Pigeon ChingChongChung, and am currently doing a 100% walkthrough of Saints Row IV. Volition is my favorite developer, and I've already done a 100% walkthrough of the third game too. I just wanted to say thank you, and I'm looking forward to all of your future projects. :)
The temptation to watch this. *sigh* Dear Volition, please release SR4 (& GooH) on gog.com like SR2 & 3 so I can first play it before watching how awesome it is; thanks :)
I feel like next game you guys should relegate superpowers to just the iron saint suit, so those who enjoy normal gameplay and those who enjoy superpowers can both get what they want
A better way to do it is have a pod in your crib that can give you your super powers and get rid of them. Also i think you mean 'regulate' and having your super powers or not will affect how some of the missions play out which would awesome
The thing they're missing, is that SURE, Saints Row 1 and 2 were know as GTA Clones, but that's why people liked it, that's why it got popular. You don't need to try so hard to make the SR series "different" when it's already popular. 2 especially, because it felt more like older GTA games, before Rockstar got all gritty realism on us. Now I'm not saying SR3 and 4 are bad, I like them. I'm just saying. Most of the original fans of the series got into it BECAUSE it was similar to GTA. They essentially went "Let's find the reason people play our game, and remove it. We'll drop a majority of the old fans and find new ones. Fuck it. Just stop comparing our game to other things." Which I find hilarious because NOW their game is being called a Crackdown clone. Went from GTA to Crackdown.
This guy is cool, he actually understand and remembers the Complete Story of SR!

Well, I've heard that Sucker Punch has created condoms for a pre-order bonus for Second Son, so frankly you guys have been beat to the punch.
