Or people who dont know what his deck does and have a good “win by time” niche built in. The guy said it himself that he would likely not play the deck again due to people now being more aware. I bet there was a lot of misplays against his deck and other prankids
He is a good player, but he did have advantages playing a completely underrated deck.
Yeah this isnt his first time topping. He's an absolutely knowledgable player. I would say this is the case like Jeff Jone's 2016 UDS Phantom Knight (no one knew the deck can OTK) top instead of the random World Chalice that topped 1st.

@@julioaldair3772 I mean Dimensional Barrier should be sided due to Thunder Dragon or against decks like BA running around. Silent Graveyard due to Dark Warrior (and also BA). But it is what it is. Deck (Prank-Kids) is good but now people will be ready for it

This is the reason why I fucking love Prankids, screw pot of greed and pot of desires, you got two link monsters that act like spell cards to get everything you need back on to the field. Insane, Prankids are insane!

underdog makes borreload a fusion and toadally turn 1 and gets a plus 2 ending with 5 cards on the board and 2 cards in hand sure its an underdog

Ive know this for quite some time now. Unpredictability and the unknown can at times, yield better results. Give your opponents something they would never expect and are completely unprepared for. Take for example the time when I went to the ARG in Raliegh NC 2017 using Exodia. True Draco's being the most dominant deck at the time. I didn't win or top at the event, but I did manage to beat out 3 different variants of the True Draco in a row. That alone felt good, no. It felt awesome. Even more satisfying when each of those decks owner said to my face, that they couldn't side against me. They had nothing. The word spread throughout the event; Exodia's here. I found that out by confronting a Blue Eyes player which I beat in the end. But prior with him saying, so you're the exodia player. That prove that word got around of me using that deck. Sometimes it's not about winning or topping an event. It's about making an impact, and that's just what I did. At YCS Milan, a huge impact was made. Kudos my friend. What you did, will never be forgotten.

Would Thunder Dragon Fusion be good tech? You have to hard draw it, but it can recycle Prank-Kids banished by Rocksies to make Butler, and can search Denko Sekka off of banishing it.

Please keep in mind this doesnt mean that prankids are a good deck. It just means this man is a fucking beast at this game. Extreme amounts of skill are needed to win a ycs with THIS deck.

People that don’t have d barrier in the side are not good duelist. I’ve always had 3 copies of them in my side . ALWAYS . Because fusion based decks will always be good in this age of yugioh . Prankids and invoked. Don’t underestimate these decks. Side in those d barriers .

Invoked is trash, D Barrier is still good mostly for Thunder dragon.
You can block out the fusions and they'll still have the links. Also, the rank 4 can just blow it up, so?
People didntt realize if you play this deck like Kozmos with baits and tags its the best deck. But no, they want to splash Thunder Dragons in it because they know how to win with ULink boards.
