Galería Artefactus presentó a María Sonia Martín en "Reflejos del Péndulo"

La Galería Artefactus inició su temporada el 12 de enero de 2024, con la exposición "Reflejos del péndulo", a cargo de María Sonia Martín, reconocida artista plástica cubanoamericana. Esta colección de obras reflejó las vivencias de su trayectoria personal y artística, manifestando su evolución a través de distintas etapas estilísticas.
La conducción de la velada estuvo a cargo del maestro y artista visual, Carlos Artime.
María Sonia Martín was born in Havana, Cuba, in1951, and resides in the United States since 1962. She studied Fine Art at Miami Dade Community College, Associate in Art Degree, 1983, and at Florida International University, Bachelor of Fine Art in Art Degree, 1986. Since completing her formal studies, Maria Sonia’s work has evolved through various stylistic phases, culminating in her current figurative expressionist work, which she has been producing since the year 2000. This figurative expressionist body of work (as well as most of her previously executed works) reflects the artist’s personal life’s experiences as it is materialized in the plastic. Maria Sonia states: "Ultimately, the viewer is responsible for his or her own interpretation of the work, which is dependent on their own life experiences and empathic capabilities".
