Thank you so much for making this video! I ripped my unit today!! And was devastated and clueless as to how I could fix it. Thanks to you and your amazing tutorial my unit is on its way to looking brand new! Two thumbs up!
I really needed this I just tore a hole in my wig last night. Thank you so much your videos are so detailed now I will not freak out about my wig it’s way too expensive to toss.
Wow that was awesome I watch you videos almost everyday. And you are an excellent wig maker to learn from.Thank you so much for taking the time to teach.
Hey girl, thanks so much for the feedback, the reason I started this channel is because everyone wanted to keep their work as a secret so as to make money. As if there is not enough wig job in the world and other would steal theirs! ~~~~~ Good suggestion for the density, I'll try to make a video as soon as I find time
Thank you for your kind words. Sometimes I do a video and then I delete it cause I don't find it easy and clear, some videos are taped one time and they are ready to be uploaded, some times I might have to re-make the video. I once did a video three times in order to get the best result. It is always about the outcome, nothing less than that.
Glad you made it, I am sure it is a scratch line rip, so it should be easier to fix than a true cut-hole off the unit like in this video. I hope your unit is like new once you are done
You are absolutely amazing, talented and so incredibly gifted. I haven't found anyone on TH-cam who comes close the providing lace wig making information as you do. I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos and I watch them over and over. Thank you so much for sharing. I wanted to know if you can make a video on how to add density to a thin wig (example; 100 to 130 density)? Thank you in advance.
Materials for the wig: Base Lace for the most part of the cap, front/top lace for the hairline and the parting area, stitching needles and transparent nylon thread, the hair you choose. Tools: Ventilating needles and a holders for them, mannequin head to hold the unit, tape and cellophane to take the mold of your head. Optional tools: Magnifying lens with light, bleaching and dyeing kits to bleach the knots if you want and/or the whole hair. These are what most wig makers have.
I think a latch hook is too big to be used in fine or small-holed lace. So you need either big holed lace or tulle (which is stretchable). If you can find stretch lace then even better. Latch hook can solve your hands when ventilating but it is a much much bigger tool than a ventilating needle hook!
You are awsome! Do you have a video showing how to change and ventilate a front lace of a hair systen? I have two to repair, they are full of freckels. Thank you!
Hey I think this is the same thing I do here, a wig maker stitch is when you "ventilate" thread and knot it along the holes of lace, in all layers, and thus creating a stitching with the thread. What is the difference between this and the wig makers stitch?
This is hard tulle from Bridal shop, it is about 1€ for about 4 ft square of material. Pretty cheap but not the best to make a wig. I used this material for a full wig once but it is a little too stretchy for my taste. If you glue it down and the colour matches then it will be fine, other than that I wouldn't suggest it for full wig cap, maybe the back of the wig would be ok
great tutorial. however, i can't see the thread while you're sewing, hence it is called invisible thread. so you basically create a stitch resembling a chain pattern? Or, knotting every single hole as you would with a hair? I tried practicing it first w/ a normal thread before using my invisible nylon thread (so I could visualize it first) and it's not as slippery as that nylon thread, it's very hard (in my opinion) for the normal thread to pull it through the holes and making a knot without ripping the thread. I use german needle size 1-2 by the way (my asian needles haven't arrived yet from amazing hairstore)
+Abram Patrick Abesamis Every hole yes, I tie a knot and nylon thread is easy to work since it is slippery while normal thread tangles even if you just pull it through holes with a sewing needle, I imagine how much it would with a ventilating needle!
Hi, do you offer any wig repair services? I'm in desperate need. I bought my 1st wig and in less than a week there was a whole in my lace wig causing a lot of shedding.
Add hair to thin hair extensions? You mean wefts that are not thick enough and you want to double them>? If this is the case then it is easy, you can only remove the clips from two wefts, then stitch them together and voila, you got double the volume!
Wow that was awesome I watch you videos almost everyday. And you are an excellent wig maker to learn from.Thank you so much for taking the time to teach.

Beautifully done, I use the same method but using a wig makers stitch!
