She had also some problems with the program director and producer of the show regarding her entry song because they wanted her to sing something she was pressed for time to prepare and arrange. So she asked her guitarist to fly to China last minute. KZ never sings a song she doesn’t feel in her heart because that was her father taught her to do.
This performance was the most legit of all her performances actually, not rolling in the deep. It's sounds so real that I can stop doing my work and stare at the moment. Sounds so painful but calm.
I have learnt that her song was change the night before the contest that's why she sang without a big band. She knows the replacement song a bit and practice / arranging the song up till early morning of the final day with her favorite guitarist.
Great Big World posted on twitter about her performance of the song and mentioned KZ's account with one word "Wow". The original artist being impressed by your rendition, that's not something you see everyday.

They say the band can’t do sudden change and little time to rehearse. So she asked if they could flew in the guitarist from the Philippines and this is the outcome.

I wish you were the one judging the Singers at that time coz this is where she lost it :( This was like an impromptu performance coz she didn't have enough time to practice that time since the band and the background singers couldn't do what she wanted to do coz they were about to go on vacation for the Chinese New Year and they needed to do the video the next day. She had to call her friend and asked to fly to China quickly to play the guitar for her. It was a performance that had so much soul in it even though it was so raw (that's the beauty of it, you can clearly see how beautiful her voice and emotions were) but then the Chinese audience (the judges) didn't see that.
he's a vocal coach obviously... that's the reason he's more into technical stuffs, the emotion is self explanatory.... some of non- singer reactors only flexes KZ's emotion.. you might get what i mean if you're an inspiring singer man ;) (sorry for my bad english)
