okok basically u have to download the thing in the link, go to settings, put the airpods in transparency mode then turn on the thing u download wait a bit, turn off transparency and the shortcut and boom

I have the same problem it’s annoying sound, special if I slightly press the airpods. 👉👂 anyone know how to fix it..
For everyone not finding the untrusted shortcuts option, enable the option “allow scripts” and you should be fine. I added it to my shortcut list, disabled “auto-detect” on the airpods (So you don’t have to cover up the sensor with the finger) and ran the shortcut. Mine had a muffled sound and they work fine now. Make sure to dry them well too. Good luck!

Thanks for making this video, I didn’t think this even existed as a solution. I just put mine in some rice to soak up moisture and I tried your method too. More people need to know about this. I.ll spread the word too.

@@makanmusty not sure but I did it anyways cause rice absorbs moisture and I did the steps in this video. I’m still using are AirPods Pro no issue but I,ve recently noticed changes while I do a ear tip fit test. Has the tune changed I’m not sure. But songs from Spotify all sounds good
I had a problem where my AirPods PRO started doing weird noises , crackling and sound like a broken bass. No matter what I did I couldn’t fix them but after watching this video I actually threw them in water with soap, wiped them dry then used this method to eject water. They work like new ones now! Thanks.

Instead of holding the airpods, you can deselect dected ears option.

I accidentally washed one of my Airpod Pros in the washing machine, made the mistake of charging it, and attempting to use it before it dried completely. It kept making a high-pitched wincing noise when I tried to turn it on. I used this method as well as playing a bunch of “Water eject airpod noise” youtube videos in full volume through my Airpod and this actually fixed it. I thought I had no hope, so thank you so much!

this was my first time (and last time) taking them hiking. One fell out into a foot of creek water. I had no idea they were somewhat waterproof. This shortcut fixed the affected pod. Thanks a ton. I swim with my Apple Watch, I knew about the water eject on that, it's very nice to know about the AirPods solution too.

Airpod pros went through the washer and dryer, tried this, didn’t work very well, figured they were broke , put them in a jar with rubbing alcohol, swirled them around, tried again, and it worked! Thanks for the help!

Daan You need to use at least one shortcut from the gallery, or you can make your own and start it.

SyRuss Robinson Not sure if you’ve already done it😅 But get the shortcut app in App Store and then create any random shortcut and run it. Then you’ll be set to allow untrusted apps

You have no idea how thankful i am . And also when I changed the buds it totally got me rid of muffled noise . Don’t know the science behind it but helped me and it’s working just fine now. Not 100% efficient but let say 95%

Apple should just have this as a feature for emergencies when you need to know it immediately. Luckily I placed my AirPods Pro on an air blower for an hour and then into some rice all day so they’ll probably be fine but when I get home I’ll also do this as well just to be sure.

There should be a good seal on the AirPods,hold it in a pinching 🤏 way so the sensors are covered properly, then you can feel the AirPods vibrate otherwise it’s clearing from the phone and not the AirPod. I just tried it so legit. Now I need to test it’s sound hopefully it survives.

This is legit, guys. I was pouring sweat into them in 100 degree heat and they started sounding like I was tuning an old hearing aid. Did this like 3 or 4 times and they work now.
For those saying it’s still not working, you may just have more water built up in them. I just had a little water from sweat and stopped using them right away. You may need to let them dry out more.

I had mine in the washer for a day after it finished washing. I took them out and did water eject. However the left earbud vibrates when making the noise, but the left one makes the noise and doesn’t vibrate. I think it may be quieter too. Is it already too late? I did water eject over 11 times
