I always thought that clearing the trails, scouting the woods , setting up the stands and getting the camp ready for the hunt was 75% of the hunting season fun. The success of the harvest was the final reward.
Love it when you are down on the farm helps me relax with my anxiety and depression so much from the bottom of my heart ❤️ prayers and blessings for you both and your families love your Aussie family friend John xx
Hi this is the scenery we all love to see you guy"s in...and fishing ofcourse...look's nice with all different colours in the forrest.. Here we have pas this period and winter slowly arrive's... Hope you enjoy life there... Take care...😊👍🏼
I’ve seen a lot, if not all of your videos. This is one of my favorites. I’ve fallen from a lock on transition to the sticks. I don’t use lock ons anymore but I do still like my climbers. Please be safe. And remember, it is much different making that transition with more clothes on when it’s colder.
Great video Heidi!! Love the farm videos and the forest. Nature is always a beautiful thing to be a part of. Good luck on hunting season Ya'll!! God Bless yall I'll be watching for the next video Ya'll share!
Your content over the past couple of months has been so sweet and calming to me. Sorry about your house nightmare. Been there, done that. Keep up the good vibes!
Well, considering the fact that you have your Bow completely Backwards and the string on the wrong side of it completely, I'm glad it didn't pop off and hurt you. LOL Idk if anyone else even noticed that or not, but since I am an archer myself, it just jumped right out to me. LOL
That made my eye twitch 😂. What she doing with a recurve anyway? Dude's not packing in bear woods either. 10mm on my side is common as my belt. That leaning stand placement was wild. I guess that's a leaning stand with ladder jammed against tree. Somebody is going to break a leg or something. They city folks?
@@rmd9032 Oh I definitely agree that it was very hard for me to also focus on the bow and not her. LOL But, I can see one and still notice the other at the same time.
I really enjoyed this video. Fall is the best season and nothing beats being in the woods going exploring and checking things out. Looks very beautiful there with the leaves starting to change colors and looks very peaceful. Can't wait for your next adventure!!!
Love seeing you on the farm again Heidi getting ready for bow season, any excuse to wander around in the woods is a good excuse, Andy is the perfect partner for you to enjoy these adventures with and take care of our dream girl lol
Great video and 💯 the setting up camp and scouting the woods with my brothers was definitely a huge part of the fun and when we got a chance to harvest a buck it was the epitome of family ❤❤❤❤ thanks for sharing yours with us
Heidi: You should get a solar generator, like a bluetti or a jackery. A big enough one to run a refrigerator, lights, ect. There are kits with solar panels. if you get one, get a good size one. I don't think you would ever regret it. One of the companies would probably give you one, if you demo it on your channel. And they are portable.
Awesome Awesome Awesome :-) Nice location set up. Good to see the farm again. Are you guys living there can never tell anymore. Great video always. Thanks!!!
You will love the safer climb systems with your harness!!! Means total confidence in safety!!! So glad to see you guys using them !!! I’ve lost a few buddies by them being to macho about any extra safety measures they could use !!! Buddies in good shape for their age!!!
Loved the video as always !! My wife and I were in Stanardsville, Va last week and the colors were amazing!! Solar panels for a well pump depends on the HP of the pump ( 1/2HP motor would require about 200 Watts of solar) Much easier to Google then explain it all lol. Keep those videos coming !!
So funny , Charlie runs back in so full of glory after successfully running off the cows . His spirit is saying " thats right , I'm bad , you saw it , I did it " ! now where's my treats ! LOL
Solar panels and the batteries would fry as well in a EMP event. So the best thing would be is have that store and covered up in faraday materials so you can set them up after the event. Look into a company called EMP SHIELD. Great hunting setup and the property is always breathtaking
That second spot looks like a good place for a covered stand. Couple of chairs and a heater 👍 Take some of that cow poooooo into the woods about 20 yards out from the sitting area.
Thank you. After Open Heart Surgery, 14 years and three days ago, I lost my taste for venison. A few years before that, I was in the woods, a few drops of "Tinks" 3X Doe Pee on my left shoulder to get the scent into the air. Nice big fat doe steps into range, right handed shooter, drew the bow, smelled the pee, gagged twice and threw up all over the place. Hunting is over for today!!!
Hey guys throw them junky safety vest away!!!Get the Muddy harness. It’s easy peasy and it comes with a lineman belt. Also they’ve got a kit that has the safety rope in it as well or ya can just by the harness. Its only 100$ at Wally World/Walmart for those who don’t know 🙄.Good luck this year hope y’all have success!!!🙏
@@LilRedHeidiHood This time of year I'm sure Andy can find someone to show him how , it's easy once you get the hang of it. I bet your brother knows. Additionally, don't do solar. A Stand by generator would be more useful and can be moved around where needed. I have Solar on my greenhouse as I do Bonsai Trees, haven't figured out why I think little trees need to stay warm? I have a Generac whole house and a 9500 KW Honda. You could just do a 30 amp tie it to the house for use when the power is down, it has electric start. OK time out i'm getting too wordy. Do yo have Atwoods where you are?
I agree, most well pumps are 220 and require a lot of juice. Probably less expensive and less hassle to get a generator that runs off gasoline or propane
No kidding that story was something else 🤪 and the dude felt stood up like a one night stand .. looking into the woods.. wondering if she has a little Bigfoot from him
As for backup power, the best overall choice is a propane or diesel generator. A well pump requires 240 volts and has a high start-up amperage. These two factors make a solar-charged battery-powered inverter a poor economic choice. We have a place in the White Mountains where the power fails a lot in the winter. The generator is either a 15 or 20-kW diesel that is enclosed with a block heater and powers the entire house. At 10 degrees below zero, a propane generator will never reliably start. I got it used on CL, and hook-up is easy...
Agree. Heidi, decide how much of the house you want to power, just essentials or so you can use all electricity run in the house, and that will decide how big/expensive of a generator you need. What's really nice is when it's wired and comes on automatically whenever the power goes out. And Trump said by JAN 2026 he will have our electric bill cut in half.
You have a great life, dont ruin it by picking up any raisinettes or tootsie rolls, and definitely dont be picking up any warm baby ruths. God bless you guys.
Them dogs sure look guilty lol they been taken some nice bucks with bow rut is full swing here last few years we been getting enough black bear here in mid and south missouri they come up out of Arkansas thanks for the video out on the farm it was a good one
you need a prussic slip knit on the safety line that clips to your waste… the prussic knot when loose slides… if you fell it would tighten after a bit of stretch… maybe you knew… cheers ✌🏼🐸
One of my neighbors that just lost half his leg, with getting used to his prosthetic leg he was out now hunting for deer. When four bears were going up pass him. The largest bear went towards him. One arrow straight through the bears heart. Weigh in at 650 pounds
Great seeing you guys back on the estate 😊 would that be the same bear that was close to a ground hide you were in a couple of years ago Heidi? Almost looked a very similar area. Neat video as it’s real, it’s all about the problem solving to get the result lol. Cheers guy’s looking forward to the thrill of the chase 😊
Nickel Iron batteries are the best. They have a very long life but they do cost. How much power does your water pump consume daily is a good place to start to determine the size of the solar set up you go with.
Thanks Heidi and Andy for another adventure . Beautiful place!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Where is your tower stand that you built
There's no simplicity in a relationship. It's the definition of complexity and work.
