You are right Taylor has been writing in a journal since she was young. And you are right Taylor has a really good memory. When she gave an acceptance speech for her receiving an Honorary Degree in Fine Arts from NYU in 2022, she had no notes, she gave an awesome speech and there were no bored-looking people. Once during the Eras Tour, she looked into the audience and saw this guy Zac, he was filming, she mouthed do I know you? Indeed she did, during the Reputation era, Taylor held secret listening sessions at all of her homes for her fans to have a first listen to Reputation before it came out. He has a channel and he shared about his time there and showed the picture of him and Taylor. All the fans each posed until they were happy with their picture. Taylor also baked goodies for them.
@@kmjkmjkmj Yes, and when he filmed that, I was saying, "Oh, of course she recognized you; you were at her house." But it would not surprise me that Taylor Nation knows all the Taylor Swift reactors, and there she does, too. I wonder what she thinks about his review of her fashion choices, especially the word he uses for her not-so-cute handbags.
Third track “the last great American Dynasty” is about her Rhode Island watch Hill mansion that used to belong to a rich couple. Taylor shows similarities between her and the wife because 50 years ago the towns lpeople didn’t like the wife being there, and when Taylor went to buy the house, the public tried to stop her from buying it because they thought that fans would flood the city.
Betty is a fictional character Taylor named after her godchild Betty Reynolds (Ryan Reynolds & Blake Livelys 3rd daughter) who was born the same year folklore came out. Betty is sang from another character Taylor made up who’s a 17 yr old boy named James. James is the name of Ryan Reynolds & Blake Livelys 1st born daughter. Inez is their 2nd born daughter.
The Last Great American dynasty is a true story about Rebekah Harkness. Everything she said was true, and then she bought that Holiday House in 2013. The rich ass town hated her being there because of the parties she threw and the tourists that came. They tried to pass a law that would tax celebrities to live there, calling it The Taylor Tax. It didn’t pass lol. She still owns the house today.
She's one of the best poets 😭 her latest album is called The Tortured Poets Department and it is phenomenal 🤯 Folklore and Evermore are just the beginning
Taylo bought her home in Rhode Island from the estate for a woman named Rebekah Harkness. Rebekah was such an interesting woman to Taylor, she needed to write about her. So, that is what “The Last Great American Dynasty” is about. She was a society woman and wasn’t very well liked in her New England social circles. She actually was a very interesting woman though.
The Last Great American Dynasty wasn't about any men at all except to say that Rebecca's husband died in the beginning and everyone blamed her for it. You need to listen with lyrics because you didn't get any of that! Taylor saying that Rebecca and then Taylor "ruined everything" is not because they actually did or were trying to, it's what all of the people around them were saying which is something that Society likes to say about any successful, independent woman. Why so quick to go off on women like that?
My Tears Ricochet is about her former manager she was with for 15 years, from age 14-29 years old. He would not allow her to buy her master recordings, so she changed labels to one that would allow her to own her work. Her former manager sold her music catalog to her enemy, Scooter Braun, for $300 million, just because he was pissed off she left. Because Scooter now owns all her old work she decided to re-record her first 6 albums. These are referred to as “Taylor’s Versions,” so please make sure you react to those for the ones available.
Scott Borchetta was never Taylor's manager. He was the head of her former record label, Big Machine Records. He really betrayed Taylor horribly by selling her masters to Scooter.
She started with country for her first few albums. I’m surprised you didn’t hear it from Red but that is where she started shifting to pop. Now you’re listening to more folk/americana sounds. Rep was a mix of multiple like EDM, electropop, hip hop, R&B and Midnights is more synthpop/electropop. She is known for sliding through genres and capable of anything including doing a rock version of We Are Never Getting Back Together, so Swifties joke that she is her own genre! She was born in Pennsylvania, but her parents loved to Nashville to support her music career when she was 14.
It’s so refreshing to see someone say this. She simply put other people’s names to some of these “fictional” songs. But the same storyline has continued from, well really, probably 1989 until TTPD, but absolutely from Folklore - TTPD. I’m working on a video for it now.
Peace is about her being in the spotlight and even though she can give her all in the relationship, because of who she is she can never give the person she loves peace bc of her fame.
You didn’t listen to “The Lakes” 😢 One of her best songs & my favorite on this album! I highly recommend it. Your reactions make laugh 😆 Thank You!💜😶🌫️
I thought of a killer video for you to do, I think it would be very popular and I’ve not seen it done. Do a double-feature of Dear John (Taylor’s Version) and Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve. Dear John was released on Speak Now in 2010, about her then relationship with John Mayer, she was 19, he was 32. Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve was released on Midnights in 2023, reflecting on that time. If you like this idea, another great one would be You’re Losing Me and So Long London. As her then boyfriend was losing her, and after he lost her. The two songs reference each other. But there’s a lot of cool stuff like that where Taylor references other songs, or ties them together. It happened a lot since she’s been doing the re-recordings, I think because she’s been digging up those old emotions making those albums again. Also, would you mind making a Taylor playlist to make it easier to keep track of what you’ve reacted to?
Please watch the Rep Tour Movie and Eras Tour Movie! Will be fun especially to see her preform live! Watch the Folklore Long Pond Studios as she plays acoustic this album and explains the songs.
you should do "When the pawn..." by Fiona Apple next!! sooo many artists say they were inspired by her (including Taylor Swift, Kendrick, Kanye, Lana del Rey, Frank Ocean, ect...)
Harmonica not a Ukulele. Folklore and evermore are mostly fictional. Cardigan, august, and betty is a teenage love triangle, cardigan is the POV of betty, august is the POV of the other girl, and betty is the POV of james. There was no name-dropping, but James, Inez, and Betty are the daughters of Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively, both are friends to Taylor. When you reacted to Reputation, in the song Gorgeous, at the very beginning a child's voice says gorgeous, that was Miss James voice. Taylor had played the song for them before she recorded the album and James kept saying gorgeous, Taylor thought it was cute and asked if she could use it, fairly certain Miss James gets royalties.
Most of the songs on this album are fictional or semi-fictional. These are folklore stories- keyword: stories. Betty and August and Inez are fictional characters.
Wtf are you going off about on The Last Great American Dynasty. Seems like you dont actually pay attention or are so off in your head tangents. I'll keep watching but its an unusual approach.

That's the Swiftologist, right?

Epiphany 1st verse is about her grandfather fighting in WWII and 2nd verse is about doctors and nurses trying to save lives during COVID 19
How exciting to find a new video! Can’t wait to watch. :)

He needs to read that lol

Lol! "Did she just curse?!?!?" .... just wait until you hear "Down Bad".

Folklore and evermore are absolutely not mostly fictional imo and that became clear after her most recent album come out...Evermore reaction!❤

I’m sure you know about The Last Great American Dynasty by now. It’s the story of the people who owned her Rhode Island house before she bought it.
My Tears Ricochet is the story of her bad ending with her record label
You will enjoy more if you do with lyric videos to follow the words at least. We will also.
Loved your reaction to Exile! And Tears Richochet!!

If you don't understand a song look up the meaning.
you have the most endearing eyes 🥲

Rolled up and ready to vibe 💨 ☮️
I am not sure if you just didn't have the lyrics up or what, but you completely missed the mark on last great american dynasty
calling taylor an elephant cracked me up 😂

You missed an amazing song - the deluxe version has one more: The Lakes (both my legs are covered in a tattoo based on this song)
There are a plethora of swears on TTPD 🤭
❤❤❤❤
