SORRY GUYS HAD TO CUT THE LAST 4 SONGS DUE TO COPYRIGHT 😢 BUT I REALLY ENJOYED THE ALBUM OVERALL IT DEFINITELY SURPRISED ME IN A GOOD WAY. I WILL BE REACTING TO MORE OF TAYLOR'S MUSIC SO LIKE, COMMENT & SUB UP IF YOU WANT TO SEE MY FIRST REACTION TO THE REST OF HER ALBUMS
You should watch the video for Cardigan. You should also check out the short titled "Taylor wrote epiphany about her grandfather." She explains why she wrote the song. And it's a heartbreaking song.
Awesome video. Think it's important to say here. Her fans aren't passionate (if you're referring to how they defend her) they're just sick of Taylor being hated for literally existing. She's become a target for people. It's almost like a trend to hate her these days. So, the Swifties are always on the defense. Loved this post, though. Can't wait to watch more !
I’d say we are also very passionate too, nothing wrong with being passionate about something you love, as long as you stay kind about it. That’s why we love Taylor so much, she leads by example with that.
I promise I don’t mean this in a disrespectful way at all, but when I hear people becoming upset by the hate Taylor is getting right now, I kinda assume they weren’t around for the Reputation Era. Of course I could be wrong. But I just feel like right now she’s so on top of the world that the haters just look silly and like they want to be different or they simply haven’t given her a chance, or most likely both. But it’s just nothing compared to when the entire country turned on her at once and she was snubbed for awards. So I don’t even sweat the haters anymore. Plus, it feels so good to focus on people who are learning and becoming aware of the misconceptions and giving her music a chance. We all know that once you really listen, everyone becomes a Swiftie. Lol.
I hate that certain fans have made people feel like they have to like every song. There is no way someone should be expected to like every single song on an album. I have one whole album I’m not a huge fan of other than a couple of songs but love the majority of her other albums. Most of us are reasonable even if somebody just says her music just isn’t for them. It’s when people are disrespectful and say things like she only writes songs about exes or her fans are only little girls that the majority of us get upset. In any fandom there are gonna be some weird parasocial fans. Don’t be scared to give your opinion
@blackboybenjii totally agree! Remember her fan base is gigantic.... the larger the fan base, the more insane people you will get just by the numbers. Those insane people find each other and go a little crazy together but the vast majority of swifties are just happy to see someone give her music a good faith listen. Ignore the overzealous stans. The only time you'll truly get hate from a lot of fans is if you are sexist or unfairly dismissive of her her success or talent to the point you aren't even trying to understand or listen. Long time fans have dealt with a lot of that "she can't write, she can't sing, she's a serial dater, her music is manufactured trash" nonsense from many people - especially men and the fans often get denigrated right along with her. The "only stupid teenage girls listen to this trash" nonsense. That's part of why the community is always excited for a man to give her music a listen and I wish you good luck with your channel as lots of swifties will come say hi now❤
Totally agree here. I'm an avid fan but I don't like all the albums. I became a fan during the Reputation Era, and although I love 1989 and some of RED, I'm not a great fan of the albums before that. I do, of course, like certain songs from Fearless and Speak Now, but definitely not the whole album by any stretch. I feel like that is okay. We all have our favourite Eras and albums and songs. We are, after all, different people with vastly different life experiences.
I think virtually all swifties would agree that it’s totally fine if you don’t become a swiftie. What swifties crave is seeing people give her music a fair chance, rather than dismissing her without listening (so never be afraid to give your truthful reactions). Here are a few critical things to know: Taylor is a master of visual media and is amazing as a live performer, so you really won't understand her incredible success if you don't explore more music videos and live performances (in addition to whatever album reviews you want to do.) Below I will offer some suggestions that will give you a sense of what I mean. Taylor explores a variety of genres, so mentally prepare yourself for an occasional “whiplash” as you go from one album to another (and don’t feel bad if you don’t like some of her albums). Swifties often use the term “grower rather than a shower” (😉). What they are referring to is this: It is extremely common to feel unimpressed by a song - or an album - when first hearing it and then, later, discovering that you love it. Some of my all-time favorite TS songs were growers for me. For example: My initial reaction to Mirrorball was the same as yours. Now I love it. Here are a few suggestions for videos. These are all fan faves, so I promise that swifties will love you for seeing as many of these as you are able. DEFINITELY recommend that you sprinkle in her live performances. Nobody does this quite like Taylor. Her dancers, backup vocalists and crew have been with her a long time. She recruited her team and talent from Broadway. It's more like musical theater than just playing her songs live.
Loved your reaction! You don’t have to like every song but as long as you give it a chance that’s all anyone could ask. Taylor is amazing would definitely love more taylor reactions especially all too well 10 minute version and some music videos and live performances Btw the last great American dynasty is actually a true story about Rebekah Harkness and the backlash she received from the public…taylor actually bought Rebekah’s house and revealed that in the song then goes on to compare the backlash she gets in the public to Rebekah as she goes on to sing “I had a marvelous time ruining everything” great lyricism and storytelling which is what taylor is known for
I’m so glad you loved epiphany!! I listen to Taylor’s albums with reactors fairly regularly lol. Epiphany has recently become a standout favorite of mine. The first part is about her Grandfather and what he saw during WWII at Guadalcanal. The second part is about healthcare workers during the second quarter of 2020.
Epiphany is such a special song for me. The first verse is about Taylor’s grandpa who fought in WW2 and never spoke about the war to anyone when he came home and the second verse was for healthcare workers during Covid. My grandpa was also in WW2 and I was a nurse during Covid. It helped me a lot during the pandemic but really can apply to a lot of stuff healthcare workers have seen before and since then.
I just discovered you. There are a few things to know, first, there is a teenage love triangle, involving Cardigan which is Betty's POV, then Betty is James POV, and August is the other woman. The 3 names James, Inez, and Betty are the names of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, Taylor has been friends with them for quite a while. Now on to My Tears Ricochet, this is one of a couple songs that are about Taylor, this song is about Scott Borchetta of Big Machines. Scott signed Taylor when she was about 16, he was like family, and she wanted to buy her masters, all 6 of them. He said no, but offered her that for each new album, she would get 1 old one back, she turned him down and walked after her contract was up. Scott sold Big Machine with her 6 albums to a guy she detested Scooter Braun. Anyway, the jewels she gave him were the albums that went gold, platinum, and diamond. Her stolen lullabies of course are her 6 albums sold out from under her (there is a song called Vigilante Sh!t, it is about Scooter from her Midnights album and it was performed on the Eras tour. The Great American Dynasty is a story about her house in Rhode Island USA. It is almost midnight, and I have to go to bed, I'll have to finish watching it tomorrow. Welcome to the rabbit hole. One more thing, Taylor is re-recording those 6 albums to regain ownership of her work, they are called Taylor's Versions, and she has finished 4 out of the 6.
i am so glad you loved epiphany! that song is wonderful and no one really appreciates it like it should be appreciated. the first verse is about her grandfather who fought in the Battle of Guadalcana in WW2 and the second is about medical personnel during COVID! its a truly deep song
I’m always interested in seeing people experience TS for the first time. Folklore was my first album of hers as well, I couldn’t have been more surprised. I didn’t get it before. Each album is different. She produces all her songs as well. She knows how she wants it to sound, exactly in her mind and often directs the production. She is definitely heavily involved in the production, but Jack and Aaron obviously are the main producers who make at least these last albums 2020-today sound the way they do. 1. Evermore 2020 is the sister album to folklore, imo it is her biggest storytelling album. 2. Midnights 2022 is a synth pop kinda infused with moody feel, with some remnants from folklore and evermore in there. 3. Lover 2019. Upbeat Pop album, good highs but some lows about all kinds of love 4. Reputation 2017 is a heavy synth pop with big and bold production, it tells a story of meeting someone & falling in love at the worst time of her life. 5. 1989 (2014) synth 80’s inspired pop, her first pop album has a lot of her big pop hits on it & is referred to as the pop bible. 6. Red 2012 is her country transition to pop, it is one of two heartbroken albums. 7. Speak Now 2010 she wrote by herself and it is country, with some rock infused. It’s a good storytelling album. 8. Fearless 2008. This is still the most awarded country album in country music history, changed the trajectory of country and identified an entire new niche fans of country music. This is considered one of the best country albums of all time. 9. Debut 2006. Most of these songs she write when she was 13-15 yrs old. Our Song she wrote for her 9th grade talent show. 10. Folklore 2020. Recorded during Covid along with evermore. 11. The tortured poets department 2024. A double albums. Her second heartbreak album. This album ties in songs from 1989, reputation, lover, folklore and evermore, and midnights. Kinda linking some songs to others from these other albums, parallels between songs through the past 10 yrs. Unless you know the catalog, you don’t realize it.
As someone who has made being a Swiftie my entire identity 😂 this was an excellent snapshot of her work. Great job. I would only add to make sure you listen to the Taylor’s Versions which exist for Fearless, Speak Now, Red, and 1989. We are going to get Reputation and self-titled this year and she will be done re-recording her work. Do you know about the re-recording journey (OP)?

Thank you for giving our girl Taylor a chance 💗 your reaction was fun to watch. New subscriber here 😊 i recommend Reputation, 1989 or Folklore's sister.Evermore.
Taylor is a mastermind/genius how she intertwines these three songs Cardigan, August & Betty together. In Betty at 2:45 "she said James, get in, let’s drive" and in August at the exact time 2:45, Augustine said "Remember when I pulled up and said get in the car" In Betty at 3:14 "Betty I’m here on your door step" and in Cardigan at 3:14 "and you'd be standing in my front porch light"
A comment from a Swiftie said that the Chorus in Her song ( My Tears Ricochet )has easter eggs of her 6 stolen albums: She's a Mastermind !!!! 1. …..I didn't have it in myself to go with grace ( Song - State of Grace ) Album: RED 2. …..And you're the hero flying around, saving face ( Song - Superman ) Album: Speak Now 3. …..And if I'm dead to you, why are you at the wake? ( Song - Look What You Made Me Do ) Album: REPUTATION 4. …..Cursing my name, ( Song - The Way I Loved You ) Album: FEARLESS 5. …..wishing I stayed ( Song - All You Had To Do Was Stay ) Album: 1989 6. …..Look at how my tears ricochet ( Song - Teardrops On My Guitar ) Album: Debut - Taylor Swift
Hey you did good giving Taylor a try. I'm a new swift fan for the most part. Also I don't love every song either. I think I love the same songs you do on this album. I do love a good bit of songs on folklore, evermore, midnights and ttpd which I think is fantastic songwriting. Keep going it takes awhile as every album I feel is so different.
Check out the Long Pond studio version of Folklore! It’s like a little documentary of her and her two producers (Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner) talking about the meaning behind the lyrics of each song and playing a slightly stripped down of each song in the Long Pond studio. It would be a great reaction!!
I think you’ll like the “Midnights” album. The concept is that the songs represent things that keep her (most people) up at night… thinking about self-doubt, insecurities, things we wished we’d said, karma… it’s a fabulous album. She won the AOTY Grammy for it last year.
The Last Great American Dynasty is about American socialite Rebecca Harkness (you can google her), whose house Taylor now owns and wrote the song about. Seven (I believe) is written from the perspective of a 7 year old child who’s best friends father is an alcoholic abus3r. Cardigan, Betty and August are about a teenage love triangle from each perspective. Epiphany is about her grandfather in the war and the pandemic. Peace is about her relationship with actor Joe Alwyn, who wanted her to take a more private life and not be so in the public eye. Mirrorball is about her feeling like she always needs to change to fit in, she can and will constantly change what she needs to, to be accepted. This is me trying is about addiction. My tears ricochet is about her former manager and how her master recordings were sold away from her without her consent or knowledge.
Last Great American Dynasty follows the history of her house pervious owner (Rebecca Harkness) and how she married an older man, he died and she ended up with all his money and the house. How she was scandalous within the community for how she attained her wealth, home and status within the community How it connects to Taylor, years later she ends up buying Rebecca’s house. Similar to Rebecca, she’s also viewed as scandalous in society by some; so drawing a parallel between the two. Hope this helps, top five favorites off this album are Betty, Cardigan, August, Last Great American Dynasty, My Tears Ricochet ❤ honorable mentions are illicit affairs, the lakes, seven and invisible string
I'll be the first to comment though I'm not the most informed Swiftie - Last Great American Dynasty - Taylor said "I found myself not only writing my own stories, but also writing about or from the perspective of people I’ve never met, people I’ve known, or those I wish I hadn’t," She references the track "the last great american dynasty" specifically when she writes about "a misfit widow getting gleeful revenge on the town that cast her out." The song begins with the lyric, "Rebekah rode up on the afternoon train, it was sunny - her saltbox house on the coast took her mind off St. Louis." It didn't take long for fans to reveal who Swift was writing about and why. Social media sleuthing quickly identified Rebekah Harkness, previous owner of Swift's sprawling Rhode Island mansion, as the subject.
The Last Great American Dynasty is about a real woman from the past who was villainized as “ending the last great America dynasty”. Taylor retells her story, and empathizes with it herself.
I used to only be a super pop girl so embarrassing to say I didn’t like this album when it came out. Now it’s my favorite album lol well, tied with her latest album, the tortured poets department (TTPD) album 🩶
@@blackboybenjiigonna suggest a few other albums before TTPD - so you can see the progression of her writing and singing style over the years. TTPD is a lot to start with ❤
Justice for epiphany!! It destroyed me mid-2020 when it felt like we were all dying in isolation, but it still makes me cry four years later. Loved your reaction and can't wait for more Swift content (if you're so inclined! Don't do what doesn't interest you 🩷)
Every album, Track 5 is her most personal song. That one was about her former manager, who sold her out to a squirmy little man, who has famously bullied her, for years.
I haven't watched yet, but I found you from your Reputation album reaction and im going back to watch your other content...not just T Swift...as an appreciation for giving our girl a fair shot! But first....this reaction! Your first real TS experience! Im so excited!! 💙💙💙
You would probably appreciate her Reputation album. Also, the sister album to Folklore is Evermore. I promise you these albums are very good. Enjoy the ride.
@@blackboybenjiiI’d like to suggest Red after these - it has mind blowing songs including her masterpiece which is 10 minutes long and worth every second
Yes, I'm a bit mentally ill. I'm unreasonably obsessed. But I don't necessarily act a fool and try to keep it cool, but secretly in my mind I'm a maniac.
Swiftie since Debut and trust me it’s impossible to like every song. She experiments a lot so her fan base is huge and everyone likes different things. Some love it when focuses primarily on lyrics (me). Some love pop Taylor. Some prefer her writing to be a bit more simple. Some love to analyze and connect and find the Easter eggs. So trust me we all have songs we don’t like❤️
I feel August is such a beautiful song musically and I’ve been that girl when I was a teenager- living for the hope of it all ❤ Also Aaron’s twin brother Bryce does orchestral arrangements on this album
heeey, thanks for being so respective with your opinions, i just discovered you and i’m watching all of your videos because i found them really entertaining 💘
There’s videos of Taylor in the studio making songs from various albums She’s a very hands on creator and producer She also comes up with lyrics and ideas in like a second (her mind is always going and creating it’s insane)
If you want brilliant pop, Midnights. If you truly want to hear Taylor rap, Reputation. Or if you wanna keep this amazing vibe going, it has a sister album that was released only 6 months after this one, also 2020 and still under quarantine. That one is Evermore. And if you want her most raw and vulnerable writing to date, The Tortured Poets Department.
Exile, and My Tears Ricochet, are in my top 5 favorite Taylor Swift songs... All Too Well is still my #1. I actually need a Top 100+ list for all my favorites.
You can't hate what you don't know. It's unfortunate you labeled yourself as a hater. Just know that I appreciate you giving Taylor a chance. Her discography is varied so I hope you find a song or two that you relate to. Thanks so much for sharing your experience.
Taylor also produces her music, sometimes I feel people don't give her enough credits in regards to this. I really liked your reaction, thanks for giving her a chance 🫶
I’ve just found you, and I love your reactions! Watching people who dislike or are indifferent to Taylor react to her and realise that she’s actually pretty amazing is one of my favourite past times🤣 If nobody’s told you yet, as a heads up, pay attention to Track 5s. They’re usually Taylor’s most lyrically vulnerable and heartbreaking.
The Last Great American Dynasty is the story of Rebekah Harkness, a lavish socialite whose Rhode Island house Taylor purchased back in 2013. August, Betty and Cardigan are intertwined. It's a story about James, who left his girlfriend Betty to be with Augustine for a summer. Betty was crushed by his betrayal. James ultimately felt remorse and begged Betty's forgiveness. But it shattered Augustine. There were no winners in this drama. All three songs are from the respective parties perspectives: August is Augustine's perspective, Betty is Jame's perspective and Cardigan is from Betty's perspective. Taylor said in the end, Betty and James did get back together but he really put her through it. If you listed to those three again, pay specific attention to the lyrics. They are three songs but one sad, tragic and beautifully written poetic story. The thing that makes Taylor such a remarkable artist is her ability to weave stories into her songs, and communicate the feelings and memories in the lyrics in such a way that anyone, even someone who has never lived those same experiences, can relate. She's a poetic storyteller. She once said that if she couldn't write lyrics, she wouldn't sing. She's not a singer who writes her own songs, she's a songwriter who sings.
Great reaction! Taylor said this album is full of characters but everyone questions that now. There are characters in this but they clearly represent situations in Taylor’s life, and many of the songs are directly about her . If you liked this I really think you’ll like Evermore, Midnights, TTPD, Lover and Reputation. 1989 is very pop, and the others are country/pop/rock/punk influenced (all baby Tay. She started writing professionally with Sony at 13, first solo album at 16). Warning about TTPD. It’s her best writing but it is sad and can be a bit emotionally draining so split it up into two or three reactions. You’ll be very fatigued if you try to do it all at once. Definitely read the prologue to it before reacting. Midnights is about thoughts that she has when she can’t go to sleep at night. Things that keep her up. Both Midnights and TTPD are autobiographical. I think Epiphany isn’t streamed a lot because it makes people cry their eyes out. Especially coming out during Covid. It’s extremely beautiful though.
This album has a sister album called Evermore there she released the same year as this one that you would probably like too. It’s funny you mentioned thinking Betty was gonna get murdered cause there is a murder song on Evermore 😂
@ You are very welcome! Thanks for the great reaction vid! If you wanna see Taylor "rap" listen to reputation. She's not exactly rapping but pretty close.
52:51 Epiphany is in my all time top 5 songs. She wrote it about her grandfather who fought in WW2 and parallels it with front line care workers during Covid and how certain trauma just can’t be spoken about. As someone who’s both grandfathers served in WW2 and who’s mother is an RN I cannot listen without weeping.
Awesome! I loved this reaction video and look forward to another. Folklore turned me into a swiftie last year after I watched the long pond studio sessions. I highly recommend that ❤
Such a great album, Cardigan is the best IMO. Lots of great ones, but that’s a masterpiece, everything about it is such amazing. Got to see her live twice at the Eras tour, she’s something special. Can’t wait to see you watch live stuff.
As someone who enjoys the production of this album I think it’s a great idea for you to watch The Long Pond sessions where Taylor, Jack and Aaron talk about each song’s meaning and perform them. I think you’d enjoy it!
Jack Antonoff is the producer of Lana Del Rey, Sabrina Carpenter and also produced the last Kendrick Lamar album and also was one of the “Not Like Us” producers, he met Kendrick’s producers through Taylor, since her and Kendrick are good friends and she is a fan of him
I feel like this album in particular is responsible for creating alot of Swifties (or at least fans), I for one didn't care for her music at all before this album then after it I absolutely loved it and became alot more open to her other more poppy stuff.
Lmao. I’m literally sitting in the dark/candelight in my jammies and Taylor Swift hoodie watching this video, because otherwise I would be listening to the album. It’s the best. But you can be sad with this album, or just having a happy vibe, chill vibe or even clean the house. There’s no bad time to listen to this if you’re a Swiftie lol.
Haha i love this, thank you for checking out my reactions, im glad you enjoyed! Loved the vibe of this album and i'm about to record my reaction to Evermore right now, so i will have that with you tomorrow :)
You should really watch Taylor’s documentary Miss Americana. It really depicts the struggle of her achievements and everything she has to endure with the media, the Kanye scandals etc. Taylor has to constantly re-invent herself. The best parts of the doc is her in the studio or at home writing and playing her music and what it takes to bring a song from beginning to end. Taylor is a lyrical genius and she 100% has producer input in all her songs. She has written EVERY single song on every album. Also she was the youngest 14years old to have a writers contract in Nashville to write songs for other artists. Taylor is also the only person to win 4 Grammy’s for Album of the Year for Fearless, 1989, Folklore and Midnights. AND she has written and directed most of her music videos since the Lover album.
Can someone please share with me what they think is the song where Taylor's vocals are mind-blowing. My stepmother wants to hear if her voice is any good, because she knows her voice has changed and become rich and full and gorgeous as she's worked on it. She has always said I'm a songwriter. That's what I am. It just so happens that I sing the songs that I write. The writing comes first. God I respect that. A bard, muse, storyteller and poet. Not a vocalist first. However, I LOVE HER VOCALS IMMENSELY and hear the pain and emotion in her voice.
Honestly in reality, you’re entitled to your own likings and opinions, but with the Swiftie fandom, they’re basically a family, as long as you keep things respectful and constructive, most of the swifties are nice about it.
The Last Great American Dynasty is the most literal song on the album, whats not to get? She's literally just telling the life story of Rebekah Harkness, a famous socialite whose house Taylor now owns and whose experiences and reactions Taylor relates to.
You need to know that august, betty and cardigan are connected. They are diff perspectives of a love triangle between betty, james, and Inez . (Also ryan ryenolds and blake livelys children's names, taylors godkids)
Back again, if you see the name William Bowry, his pen name, it is actually Joe Alwyn, Taylor's then-boyfriend. They were together for 6 years, and he is a British actor. They were together from Reputation to Midnights. Jack has his own band, "Bleachers" and Aaron is in the band The National.
I think autocorrect got you. Jack’s band is Bleachers. Also Aaron is not only in The National, but he and Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) are in Big Red Machine together, and Taylor is featured on their song Renegade. Just a little additional information for our reactor.😊
@@KateinVA Thank you, it was probably my fault, I wrote that when I was tired. On the rest, I didn't want to overwhelm the guy with a lot of the info. I just realized something, Taylor featured on a song "The Alcott" from The National but not with Bleachers. I wonder why not. I am not of fan of Bleachers, I am mind-boggled because everything he worked on with Taylor is so fantastic.
@@Violet316 I do live in Virginia. I’m a little west of DC in all the NoVA nonsense. I have actually never listened to Bleachers, and only have listened to a little of The National and BRM. I do love Justin Vernon himself, though he has some work that’s unconventional. His acapella performance of Heavenly Father is gorgeous, though.
@@KateinVA I love Virginia, I am originally from Wisconsin and Minnesota, and I don't miss that kind of cold. You should check out Bleachers just for the hell of it.
You should do a listen where you read along with the lyrics and analyze them. Storytelling and lyricism are truly where Taylor shines! But sometimes they are pretty complex and you have to read along to understand it.
New to your channel/ Enjoyed your review. As you delve into Taylor Swift's catelog, I am sure you will discover she is one of the, if not THE best siongwriter/storyteller/singer in the business.

I agree, i find that in different stages of my life, i start to like certain songs i didn’t before.
I think even most Swifties don’t love every single song. I don’t, and I am a huge fan!
I think virtually all swifties would agree that it’s totally fine if you don’t become a swiftie. What swifties crave is seeing people give her music a fair chance, rather than dismissing her without listening (so never be afraid to give your truthful reactions). Here are a few critical things to know:
Taylor is a master of visual media and is amazing as a live performer, so you really won't understand her incredible success if you don't explore more music videos and live performances (in addition to whatever album reviews you want to do.) Below I will offer some suggestions that will give you a sense of what I mean.
Look What You Made Me Do (official music video)

Don't Blame Me - Taylor Swift • Reputation Tour
th-cam.com/video/seOJleBbf-U/w-d-xo.html
I suggest doing these two as a "double-header" reaction:
Reputation Stadium Tour movie: intro + "ready for it?"
th-cam.com/video/2QJaf6qq8jQ/w-d-xo.html
Ready For It? (music video)
th-cam.com/video/wIft-t-MQuE/w-d-xo.html
Another one of the many iconic live performances from the Eras Tour:
Taylor Swift 'Vigilante Shit' The Eras Tour (Movie Ver.)
th-cam.com/video/1qnRUPYEfdg/w-d-xo.html
All of her official music videos are fun:
www.youtube.com/@TaylorSwift/videos
DEFINITELY recommend that you sprinkle in her live performances. Nobody does this quite like Taylor. Her dancers, backup vocalists and crew have been with her a long time. She recruited her team and talent from Broadway. It's more like musical theater than just playing her songs live.
Loved your reaction! You don’t have to like every song but as long as you give it a chance that’s all anyone could ask. Taylor is amazing would definitely love more taylor reactions especially all too well 10 minute version and some music videos and live performances
Btw the last great American dynasty is actually a true story about Rebekah Harkness and the backlash she received from the public…taylor actually bought Rebekah’s house and revealed that in the song then goes on to compare the backlash she gets in the public to Rebekah as she goes on to sing “I had a marvelous time ruining everything” great lyricism and storytelling which is what taylor is known for
Thanks a lot for this comment, im getting deeper into the lore!
You were talking about the chemistry in Exile, the entire album was recorded during Covid all of the working in separate locations. Pretty incredible
Massive swiftie here.. before I start watching I just wanted to say huge respect you for giving her an actual shot.
❤
Yes, Epiphany is a beautiful song for sure. Shoutout to all the healthcare workers & your Grandad
Omg I just commented almost the exact same thing. Yes 💯 agree about Epiphany. It’s so very special.
@@meredith1017 there were many days I would leave work exhausted and sad so I’d put Epiphany on and listen to it as I cried the whole way home.
Thank you for checking this out & thank you for your comment, this helps a lot!
i am so glad you loved epiphany! that song is wonderful and no one really appreciates it like it should be appreciated.
the first verse is about her grandfather who fought in the Battle of Guadalcana in WW2 and the second is about medical personnel during COVID! its a truly deep song
Yeah it was a great song, i love that kind of vibe. and thank you for the insight much appreciated
3. Lover 2019. Upbeat Pop album, good highs but some lows about all kinds of love
This is really useful, thank you for that!

Thanks a lot, i appreciate you! reputation reaction is dropping @ 8:15PM GMT today
On her albums the track 5 is always her most vulnerable and personal song
It's like they say: haters are confused fans. Totally agree. Loved your reaction, thank you
Taylor is a mastermind/genius how she intertwines these three songs Cardigan, August & Betty together.
In Betty at 2:45 "she said James, get in, let’s drive" and in August at the exact time 2:45, Augustine said "Remember when I pulled up and said get in the car"
In Betty at 3:14 "Betty I’m here on your door step" and in Cardigan at 3:14 "and you'd be standing in my front porch light"
You are officially anointed!
Hahah shoutout to all the swifties, i appreciate you guys
A comment from a Swiftie said that the Chorus in Her song ( My Tears Ricochet )has easter eggs of her 6 stolen albums: She's a Mastermind !!!!
1. …..I didn't have it in myself to go with grace ( Song - State of Grace ) Album: RED
2. …..And you're the hero flying around, saving face ( Song - Superman ) Album: Speak Now
3. …..And if I'm dead to you, why are you at the wake? ( Song - Look What You Made Me Do ) Album: REPUTATION
4. …..Cursing my name, ( Song - The Way I Loved You ) Album: FEARLESS
5. …..wishing I stayed ( Song - All You Had To Do Was Stay ) Album: 1989
6. …..Look at how my tears ricochet ( Song - Teardrops On My Guitar ) Album: Debut - Taylor Swift
This is fire, thank you!
As a long time Swiftie and an avid enjoyer of Folklore it never hit me...🙌🏾💃🏾
Hey you did good giving Taylor a try. I'm a new swift fan for the most part. Also I don't love every song either. I think I love the same songs you do on this album. I do love a good bit of songs on folklore, evermore, midnights and ttpd which I think is fantastic songwriting. Keep going it takes awhile as every album I feel is so different.
Thanks a lot Shelly, i appreciate your time
New sub. Thank you for giving Taylor a chance. Can’t wait to see your reaction to her other work. There’s such a variety. Great reaction.
Thanks a lot for the suggestion, i will add it to the list!
@@blackboybenjii watching Taylor, Jack and Aaron just jam in that little studio together is so fun to watch!
I second this. LPS has an absolutely beautiful version of Exile.
Also, mad woman has Taylor’s first ever F bomb and the Swiftie community lost their shit with excitement🤣
Last Great American Dynasty follows the history of her house pervious owner (Rebecca Harkness) and how she married an older man, he died and she ended up with all his money and the house. How she was scandalous within the community for how she attained her wealth, home and status within the community
How it connects to Taylor, years later she ends up buying Rebecca’s house.
I'll be the first to comment though I'm not the most informed Swiftie - Last Great American Dynasty - Taylor said "I found myself not only writing my own stories, but also writing about or from the perspective of people I’ve never met, people I’ve known, or those I wish I hadn’t," She references the track "the last great american dynasty" specifically when she writes about "a misfit widow getting gleeful revenge on the town that cast her out."
The song begins with the lyric, "Rebekah rode up on the afternoon train, it was sunny - her saltbox house on the coast took her mind off St. Louis." It didn't take long for fans to reveal who Swift was writing about and why. Social media sleuthing quickly identified Rebekah Harkness, previous owner of Swift's sprawling Rhode Island mansion, as the subject.
This is great insight, much appreciated
The Last Great American Dynasty is about a real woman from the past who was villainized as “ending the last great America dynasty”. Taylor retells her story, and empathizes with it herself.
I used to only be a super pop girl so embarrassing to say I didn’t like this album when it came out. Now it’s my favorite album lol well, tied with her latest album, the tortured poets department (TTPD) album 🩶
I will be reacting to that soon as well!
@@blackboybenjiigonna suggest a few other albums before TTPD - so you can see the progression of her writing and singing style over the years. TTPD is a lot to start with ❤
@@CarolJavensi always say that TTPD is a ‘grown folks’ album. You have to have lived some shit to really get TTPD.
Justice for epiphany!! It destroyed me mid-2020 when it felt like we were all dying in isolation, but it still makes me cry four years later. Loved your reaction and can't wait for more Swift content (if you're so inclined! Don't do what doesn't interest you 🩷)

Great song!
Every album, Track 5 is her most personal song. That one was about her former manager, who sold her out to a squirmy little man, who has famously bullied her, for years.
Folklore turned me into a Swiftie and now I love them all. Folklore is just special. Enjoy the journey ❤

It's more than that. An elegy is a poem that celebrates a person who has passed's life.
So trust me we all have songs we don’t like❤️
It’s not impossible to like every song. I actually do. There’s so many I love I can’t even pick a top 10.
I feel August is such a beautiful song musically and I’ve been that girl when I was a teenager- living for the hope of it all ❤
Also Aaron’s twin brother Bryce does orchestral arrangements on this album
Yes. I was also that girl. This song ❤.
idk why, but I just love The Last Great American Dynasty...something about the bridge in that song is sublime.
heeey, thanks for being so respective with your opinions, i just discovered you and i’m watching all of your videos because i found them really entertaining 💘
Thank you ❤️
There’s videos of Taylor in the studio making songs from various albums
She’s a very hands on creator and producer
She also comes up with lyrics and ideas in like a second (her mind is always going and creating it’s insane)

Ok! coming up
Epiphany is other worldly, her best yet. Masterpiece ❤
I’ve just found you, and I love your reactions! Watching people who dislike or are indifferent to Taylor react to her and realise that she’s actually pretty amazing is one of my favourite past times🤣
If nobody’s told you yet, as a heads up, pay attention to Track 5s. They’re usually Taylor’s most lyrically vulnerable and heartbreaking.
Jumping from only radio play Taylor straight into Folklore is a lot to handle. You’ll never be the same. Welcome 😂
Hhaha i will be doing Evermore very soon, looking forward to it!

Epiphany is such an underrated song. It’s so moving.
Analyzing the lyrics of this album is the epitome of being a swiftie. Each lyric has so much meaning.
Her best album ever❤
Can someone please share with me what they think is the song where Taylor's vocals are mind-blowing. My stepmother wants to hear if her voice is any good, because she knows her voice has changed and become rich and full and gorgeous as she's worked on it. She has always said I'm a songwriter. That's what I am. It just so happens that I sing the songs that I write. The writing comes first. God I respect that. A bard, muse, storyteller and poet. Not a vocalist first. However, I LOVE HER VOCALS IMMENSELY and hear the pain and emotion in her voice.
She has a lot of good songs - people hate her Why ? Hate is a strong word ! She writes songs about her experiences .
Taylor is all in with a project, The estics producer Director, She plays guitar 🎸 Piano bangi everything she is all in.
This song Taylor is singing about the great American Dynasty, Taylor bought this house and called it The Holiday house, 🏠 That's pretty dope.❤
You should do a listen where you read along with the lyrics and analyze them. Storytelling and lyricism are truly where Taylor shines! But sometimes they are pretty complex and you have to read along to understand it.
Taylor is a Mastermind. If not a reaction you need to do Lyrics (her lyric videos are awesome), Music Videos and of course Live! She does it all.
You should listen to Evermore
Evermore reaction coming ASAP! reputation reaction coming today @ 8:15PM GMT if you want to check that out :)
