When the Black Knight was reissued by Monogram in 2011, I modified it (using the sword that came as an option with the Polar Lights 2000 "Headless Horseman" kit) to make a 1/8 scale "Ser Jaime Lannister" from "Game of Thrones." I replaced the "besagews" - the rondels designed to protect the armpits - from the kit with like-sized buttons with lion's head detail, and painted the armor metallic with gold trim to help sell the Lannister theme. (Interestingly, the kit supplied head which was originally sculpted in 1956 bore a very strong resemblance to actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who was born in 1970.) My current Aurora Knight conversion project will be to modify the Silver Knight reissued by Atlantis in 2022 into Ser Duncan the Tall, from the GoT prequel, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms." I think that if Aurora was still around today, their iconic Knight kits would have been modified to represent characters from "Lord of the Rings" and "Game of Thrones."
