I have the same year and same colour Crv. I bought it at 98,000 miles and now I have 298,000 miles. I have to say that this car lasted longer than my last marriage....as well as with no problems. I bought a 2010 crv but still love my 2002. Beautiful Car man!
Love the CRV! Have owned same 2006 CR-V for around 17 years and finally came to the conclusion that I am keeping it for life! But I want to customize it up to my dream .... lift it, bigger tires/wheels, lightbar, fog lights, tune up the engine, etc.! In short anything and everything I can upgrade! I don't want a super expensive new off-road vehicle. I want the vehicle I love to be a better off-road friend!
You have done all that I want to do to my 2005 CR-V. It looks just awesome! Would it be too much trouble to ask if you could please add the links to where you got the parts. I know you mention them, but you would be doing a solid to us CR-V brothers. Again, your CR-V looks EXCELLENT! Love everything about it. I wish I know how to do all that stuff myself. I will need to take it to someone. Having the part on hand will help out a lot.
That just kills me to see this gorgeous CRV and then hear "Front wheel drive". The AWD isn't amazing, but after everything you've done to it man... damn. Anyway, looks fantastic.
Most people never take their CRV’s off road. Front wheel drive only is more than adequate for bad driving conditions with better fuel economy and reduced maintenance costs. I love my 2006 Honda CRV EX front wheel drive. One of the most practical vehicles on the road.
@@sachemrock I agree everything has it's pros and cons, but this vehicle looks like it would be a great off-road rig (minus rock crawling and tough terrain that needs a locking diff)

Well that is one great looking CRV !. You have done a super job of fixing it up!. Congrats on a nice find, I don`t think you will ever find a cleaner 2004.
I must admit, I had a super clean silver first gen, and I bought coilovers and I lowered it on TSX 17, the day before I sold it I raised it, and I liked it, yours is super clean too!!! Great Job Mate!
the 05 and 06 are the same but have a 5 speed auto instead of the 4 speed, makes the power a lot more useable. my 05 has 260,000 miles on it and gets 26 mpg every tank.
Im 5'11" with back issues and im finding it really difficult to get comfortable in the drivers seat of my 03 CRV. Anybody else have this issue or advice pertaining? Fantastic video and CRV, im very impressed. Ive made a few modifications to my CRV. I added a roof basket to it and mount 4 KC lights above its wind visor. I dont recommend that modification. I have clearance issues in parking structures, garages, etc. Im pretty sure I took a fat hit to gas mileage too, im down to just 18.5 mpg combine, unbelievable for a 4 cylinder Honda with a part time AWD system. I cut the fog light inserts out and added factor fitting fog lights. Biggest thing was I swapped out all 5 of the 205/70 tires for some 215/70 Geolander tires and do 5 way tire rotations so if a tire has a catastrophic failure I dont have to replace all 4 at once, at least for the first blowout. I wanted to lift mine and go bigger with the tires but im not confident in my ability to do all that work nor am I trying to find and pay a mechanic to do all that for a CRV. Generally the mechanics I talk to absolutely despise modified hondas so I cant even imagine finding one that's excited to do this work to a CRV even with the money attached. The amount of work you did to get the suspension geometry right, i'm blown away. Very impressive man, absolutely professional. I just thought all lifted CRV's had to have camber and geometry compromises. Not even! Thanks for the thorough video.
5'11 also, no problems in the driver's seat but I do have to stoop sometimes to get a good view of what's ahead going into a right turn (wife also got me a large rear view mirror dash cam setup that straps over the original mirror so that adds some bulk). If I were to bring up any discomforts, I suppose it could use a little lower back support; I had a heated seat cover last winter that added a little support and that was comfy.
And here I am another somewhat new CR-V owner I think 6 months now, and trying to do what everyone does. Sound ram air intake. (Hot😂) lift, tires, exhaust. Headlight, bumper, cargo. Lol. And I've been through quite a few different guys doing this and I love every single one of them and I need all the info and tips I can use to prepare. Got an 03' ex
maybe so but on the DC Sports SRI the cone filter is fitted above the transmission. I've seen guys hook up snorkels though so theoretically it could be forded.
Nice ride. Get yourself some sound dampening in those doors and it will get rid of a lot of road noise. I did my entire crv for under 100$. Made a big difference
I'm about to get this gen CR-V (I'm looking now for AWD) I've seen a couple of videos of Modded CR-V's. I like what you have done and will reference it when the time comes to upgrade the one I do end up buying!
Looks good I would just throw on some fender flares and maybe some nice off road lights up front.. oh and don't forget the EBC brake pads and some crossdrilled/slotted rotors 👍🍺
My older brother has the exact same car, but 2003 with a few mods done to it. Same color and everything. His is completely straight piped and he also has a cold air intake. He has a subwoofer in the back with a backup camera and a screen in the front.
Gorgeous build, that interior is MINT. One thing I noticed, I think the passenger front door was replaced. It's missing the pin-stripping that the rest of the car has, and the fitment next to the rear passenger-side door is a little off. But damn dude, looks excellent!
Sweet. It looks great. I have the same year. I wondet what the cabin noise is like with that tire wheel set-up. I have some bighorn tires on mine and its super loud on the highway lol
I think a set of side step bars will complete your set up. The bull bars made it look so aggressive, which I like. It's like the fast and furious of off-road vehicles.
Dude, that looks totally badass. I have an 03 and don't know shit about lifting. Can you list all you bought to lift yours so a can be a power and just buy the stuff?
You actually care that you were blinding people? I wish everyone was that considerate. Every truck or SUV in my city has its lights aimed directly into your retinas. Its greatly magnified when they are behind you, because they get so close as if they are trying to hump my bumper.
I have a 2006 awd auto. honda makes nice motors. im happy with my crv. hauls the groceries over the hills well enough. kids have enough room in the back too. I bought black steel winter rims, they look good enough. It's under powered on the highways, it would be nice to have a v6. The TCS is annoying when youre trying to have a little fun in the dirt or snow. I wouldn't spend any money on upgrades, but window visors might help prevent the windows from fogging in the rain, other than that I'd rather spend my extra money to buy a 2 seater from the 90's for track day...

You could easily get the rear diff and trans off ebay and have a mechanic swap it out and sell or part exchange the old trans. Other than that its a totally sweet ride and even with 2wd it can handle a lot of trails and fire roads but I'd get a sock for your air filter or build a shield to stop it gathering too much dust and dirt from the front wheel...
Looks good, I like the black and silver look. And yeah as for miles per gallon, they're a bit poo! I have the 2 litre auto over here in the UK, it gets around 28mpg around town and 40mpg on the motorway.
