    This is by far the most balanced way to wrap your hands that I have found on TH-cam. Gives a balance of knuckle padding and enough wrist support (for my hand size anyways). The other video with the knuckle guard is just as good but I find this amount of padding to be adequate. Great vid!

    Hey Icey Mike I'm curious of your thoughts on Bagua. Its a traditional Chinese art. I have a group of friends who all trian in different martial arts. I'm the only untrained one. They all are teaching me little things here and there but soon I'm going to join a MMA Gym. One of my friends trains in Bagua it seems to be effective in low intensity sparring. But again I have an untrained eye. But he also has a strong judo influence so I'm not sure. But if you could do a video on Bagua I would appreciate it.

    Way I was taught was wraps are for wrists gloves are for knuckles.

    • @IShotLazer
      @IShotLazer 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats what was explained to me too.
      I use wraps for my wrists almost entirely.
      My knuckles don't generally hurt too bad after training. Not that I have king knuckles or anything. Maybe my bag is soft or something. But I've fucked my wrist more than a couple of times and even after having much much better form, it's still something I'm way more worried about than hurting my knuckles.

  • @Nuhjeea
    @Nuhjeea 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you are just a casual hobbyist who hasn't even joined a MMA/Boxing gym yet, is it ok to mess around at home here and there with light sparring with friends and not use hand wraps? Or the quick hand wraps? No intentions of hitting the heavy bag (yet) or hard sparring.

    How do I know what length hand wraps should be before I buy them? Is 3 meters too long/short? Is 4.5 meters too short/long? Does it matter how long they are? Is it more important that they are not too short than too long or the other way around?
