If u slap on a Poe head and get him carrying an orange Lothcat, do u think there's an "Inside Lllewyn Davis" kitbash in there? A 1/18th accoustic guitar case would help sell it.
Believe it or not, the way to get the head to move more is actually the opposite of what you’re suggesting. They need to make the peg SHORTER. The reason why the head doesn’t move is because the joint is so recessed into the bottom of the neck that there’s hardly room for movement. The best example that I can think of how to do a double ball peg correctly would be Grand Admiral Thrawn where the peg is shorter and allows you to move the head much more freely
Man I hope this show is better than The Acolyte was. I'll be totally on board with the gang of kids/Stranger Things vibe, as long as it's well executed.
I swear they are going to pull double bait and switch with this guy. He's set up as a Jedi / Force user but will turn out to be someone else as a cautionary tale to kids but then he'll end up pulling out a laser sword. Either his gun barrel or the gun will be a repurposed Saber into blaster.
Looks like Disney raided the old props department of Pirates of the Caribbean for his pistol. Next they will be using AK-47's oh hang on a minute lol. Figure looks good tho. Like the hard goods coat. As for the show well it's for kids. Another attempt bye Disney to get kids into Star Wars. Hope the kids enjoy it. Another great review Tim.

There will many droids and creatures in this show and they will probably never make it into the vintage collection lol . I'm looking forward to this show,it's something George Lucas and Spielberg would indorse,the whole thing has an Amblin feel to it.
The double-ball joint for the head has been a running theme from Hasbro in quite some time aka they’re not doing a great job with it. There are exceptions but lately, they’ve taken a terrible approach when it comes to head articulations. The ball at the neck is way too deep so there’s little range for the “bar” and the socket for the head isn’t deep enough. As far as TVC is concerned, it is easier for me to forgive it but it’s even more noticable on their larger figures where there is no excuse, especially for characters who can’t even look up or down properly or have some nuanced head tilts. As for Jod, I don’t know what to think of the character except that, once again, we should give the series the benefit of the doubt. If anything, I miss Jude Law’s portrayal of Dr Watson in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes.
Skillfully made, and a good review as always, but for me it's just some bloke wearing Rick Deckard's coat. If you plonked it down in front of me without context I'd be hard pressed to guess it was from a Star Wars project - not unlike the Vel Sartha figure from Andor.
Even if the show ends up a wash this guy would be a good bar patron in the cantina.
