He's a "survivor" and he's "conflicted", according to Jude Law. That sounds more like he is a good guy that's done bad things, or helped bad people, in order to survive. I doubt he's Sith or dark side.
I think Jod Na is a descendant of a lengthy Jedi/Force-sensitive lineage. He may never have been a member of The Jedi Order, but, he may have close relatives who were. That would be complicated and conflicting, considering Jedi and their relatives were sought out in threatening, even deadly ways, after The Clone Wars and the rise of The Galactic Empire.

I think it’s safe to assume that during this time period, any force sensitive people are either too afraid to show their abilities or have turned to the dark side.
The weird runes he's looking at look more like the canon ancient Jedi language, not Sith. Could see him being an Order 66 survivor, but think it would be cooler if he is just a Force-sensitive guy who was never trained by the Jedi - he's got just enough ability with the Force to trick some kids into thinking he's a Jedi, but that's it.
Everybody chill with your theories, how could he be in any way a sith in this time period .. its an adventure with pirate action and i guess some litte surprises and teases for the mandoverse.. 🙄
It's funny to see Jude Law in a Stars Wars project b/c he was my first choice to play Anakin Skywalker in the prequels and the fact that he and Ewan MacGregor were roommates and close friends in London at the start of the acting careers. I think that Jude would have way better screen chemistry with Ewan and Natalie Portman than you know who..
I think Jod is... IT DON'T MATTER BECAUSE Disney will ruin the character no matter who he is, and the show will be canceled after one season, and you will never see or hear about this character again.

Every star wars show made on disney plus seems to include a order 66 survivor now
They do, too many now in my opinion
There were over 10,000 Jedis so if like 20 or 50 survived that's actually not unrealistic if you really think about it
