A lot of people out there looking to be "heroes" or more like legends in their own minds. That weirdo was looking to be praised or worship for "standing up for whats right". Signs of a sick society that is doomed to failure. These are the same people that call into talk shows and moralize to others.

I believe I have seen that civil war dealer before... I have seen that copper helmet. I saw him at the Richmond civil war show and he gave be an amazing deal on a WW1 helmet and he came off as a very nice person, he even let my take the helmet away from the table to show my friend. I could very well be wrong but he has a lot of stuff that I remember seeing. It sucks a ton that he had to get caught up in that crap. Just another reason I will not be going to the SOS for some years to come.
Now that I look more, I am 99% sure that is him.
The older gentleman was a super nice guy. He looked so confused when I went to apologize to him.
@@MuchachoMilitaria Yeah, I believe that he was also hard of hearing, he gave me a good deal on the helmet due to the fact that he was going in for surgery in a few days. I hope to see him again during the next civil war show.
It is not good he conducted himself in that way,unfortunately it's what he will now be remembered for . Alot of collectors worldwide now know.

I echo what everyone has been saying. The folks that don’t want to be filmed either have goods that are reproductions sold as originals or don’t want to be openly identified with the things they sell (which that’s ok, but problematic when you focus on third reich collectibles)
Anyhow, as I’ve gotten more into the community and scene, I am increasingly surprised that there is no true governing body that bans or at least regulates dealers who have been identified as scam artists and forgers. If correctly identified with evidence at hand, it shouldn’t be difficult to let someone not have a table at a show.
There are politics behind the scenes. And fear of litigation.
It’s a shame when you go to a show like this and people act like dicks. Happened to me at the last tank military show in Oshawa. Unbelievable

Walter a few years back was busted by German police....
Him and a gf were caught pulling original paperwork from files....
What finally happened not sure but he should of been deported....

It's hard to trust a lot of these dealers. So many liars. And yeah I'll take pics and when I show my badge they shut up fast. 😂🤣

There are a lot of fakes! I collect militaria. Mostly high end items like 115 Victorian campaign medals named. One guy was selling some that were fake as hell. Just bad. He tells me "oh there real!" I say no there not. He says "I've been doing this for 45 years. Then I pull out several real Indian mutiny, Military mgs, zulu war medals. He says "ok there not real, I thought you meant something else!!!" 😂🤣
