  • This is Carl Brindley from Swansea Antiques. Carl is a regular exhibitor at IACF Antiques Fairs and a very good militaria dealer. He’s also a very passionate and interesting person.
We met at the Shepton Mallet Antiques Fair in Somerset.
Our candid conversation here was unprepared and unrehearsed (as all my interviews are)
We simply just chatted. I thank Carl immensely for his honestly and his dedication in helping other men deal with depression. Get in touch with Carl here www.swanseaant...
See IACF website for fair dates and locations

If you have any antique story, a collection to feature, or something interesting to sell, let me know and we might be able to make a film about it!
    Cheers

Ever get any Military handcuffs? I have a couple of Hiatt M&C darby handcuffs from WW1, a regular Hiatt military pair from 1949, an R.C.S darby pair from 1956 and a military modern pair of chain link handcuffs by Hiatt from 1992. All British Military, some have the Broad Arrow too, which I love. I love militaria and handcuff collecting.

7mm ammo? Here in the USA someone could have ammo made for it, but it would be a custom thing and very expensive. That's if you were crazy enough to trust it enough to fire a gun that old. I carry a cane I call my "whack-y" stick, suitable for whacking that last box of cereal off the back of the top supermarket shelf. It's solid wood.

Not only that but 7mm in that skinny of a breach of a walking cane like that makes me a little nervous. Imagine has some recoil even lol.

Hi David, I have a little collection of military buttons and uniform adornments, mostly Royal Ulster Rifles and Royal Army Service Corps. I would like to find their next 'caretaker' as Carl so nicely put it - should I contact a shop like his in the first instance?
