- Here is by far one of my favorite uniforms in my collection. The information that I was able to uncover about this veteran is very interesting. I love putting stories together and the pieces of puzzles. It is so fun to research the soldiers and items that we collect.

I totally agree with you about the excitement in researching militaria. I also research pieces in my collection as much as possible. I am often just as excited with unexpected successes, so I too know the feeling. Doing the research is, indeed, as much fun as collecting. As a Minnesotan this one is very cool. What a wonderful grouping! I try and go to Fort Snelling National Cemetary every memorial day, I might have to pay him a visit!

Unfortunately not. Hopefully I can find some more information.

awesome grouping!!!! did you look at the tunic closely to see if the CIB had once been on it? who knows, maybe it got taken off to clean the tunic and never got put back on. maybe mr danniels got awarded the CIB while wearing the uniform and stuck it in his pocket to put on later, forgot about it, and put it away and never got it out again.
