6.0 Powerstroke - Long Crank Cold - Solved

- I tried to keep the video as short as possible with keeping as much information as possible, sorry if it is still too long. So I have a long crank when cold, but when warm it starts right up. Upon cranking the ipr reads 85 on the scangauge 2, and the icp builds up slowly. The ficm voltage was fine and the sync was 1 so were good there. I suspected a few different things. Such as low base oil pressure, a dummy plug, the stc fitting, nipple cup o rings, and injector o rings.

I got the parts ordered, so I will continue the video in a couple of days when I get them in. Thanks for watching and if it helps you please subscribe.
Thanks for great how to ,many RVers will be able to save by doing it themselves thanks for sharing
Thanks
Excellent Video. thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Sounds great compared to mine.
Thanks I have put a ton of time into it.
Why on the first crank sounded uneven and then by the second attempt sound good
Leonardo Castillo no idea what the problem was, it had never done it before and hasn’t done it since. Prob a loose connection somewhere.
hey mine is doing the same un even crank just wondering if you have any insight
Hi!What is the air pressure needed to check the system for leaks?
The high pressure oil system can handle way more than your shop air compressor can put out. Just use 150 psi.
@@grumpysdiy What should I pay attention to first? The ipr valve is new.Six months to him.Unfortunately, there is no diagnostic equipment.
If you have the ipr air test tool. Put it in where the ipr goes and listen to the oil fill location and the crank case vent location for a loud hiss. The side with the loud hiss has the leak. Give it some time for the air to push the oil out to make the hiss.

👍🏻
what was the problem
Did a video on it, nipple cup injector o rings
Check your oil rail dummy plug
they are the updated version
Write down the name of the sensor monitoring device, maybe I'll buy it on Ebay.
For iPhone download FORScan light and buy a wifi elm327, for android Bluetooth elm327 from Amazon and either FORScan lite or torque pro. Both aps are $7.
@@grumpysdiy Спасибо Друг!!!
Dunno what that means.
@@grumpysdiy What's it?
Still lost.
You have to supply power to the ipr while you air test it
Gold star.
I found there’s a little valve opening which lubricates the gear to the fly wheel on the high pressure oil pump.
Sometime you’ll have air escape around there.
I ended up replacing every o-ring in my high pressure oil system. Injectors, dummy plugs, stand pipes and all.
What was the reason for your long cold cranks?
The O rings on the nipple cups.
Over 14:00 minutes, unsolved!
Guess you didn’t pay attention. The leak was at the injector nipple cup…
You hitting the camera all the time is getting old
Fast forward past that part then.
Yeah. Great video other than constantly smacking the camera and getting it greasy... Lol
how can I contact you via whatsapp?
Yea I am not gonna do that.
