Hey Brandt, "Clearwater Will" here! Instead of going all the way to 75, take 19 once in a while! Yes, it's a bit slower, especially once you get to Crystal River. By taking 75, though, you are bypassing some really nice spots! Manatee Springs State Park is a gorgeous crystal clear swimming spring in Cheifland! The Rainbow River in Dunellon and The Weeki Wachee River near Brooksville are the two best spring fed crystal clear, peaceful meandering, canoeing/ tubeing rivers that I have EVER seen. Dunedin Causeway, Honeymoon, and Calidesi Island State Parks have an amazing fishery. Calidesi Island has been voted in the world's top 10 natural beaches several times! During the summer, this entire area has constant schools of tarpon, snook, redfish, cobia, and blacktip sharks cruising the troughs between the beaches and sandbar! Brandt, it's right up your alley, but with so many different types of gamefish! Clearwater Pass and Sand Key Jetty also holds tons of fish. Last but not least is the "world's longest" Skyway Fishing Piers! It's plural because there is a north pier and a south pier. Both are incredibly productive! Another nice feature about these piers is they are only about 10' above the water and the rails are concrete, but only about 30" high! Some sites report the lenght of the two piers in error and backwards. The actual lenght of the north pier is .62 miles and the lenght of the south pier is a whopping 1.5 miles long! And THAT isn't even the best part! You can drive your vehicle or RV out to your spot! That means CAMPING! If you do have an RV, you can have showers, beds, food and AC! (if you also have a generator). So give the Tampa Bay Area a try. we'll be glad to help!!!!
@@GardenerEarthGuy Yeah and there's lots of Alligators that eat people every day too! Stay away! lol Seriously, are you thinking of Miami? Tampa is no different than any med.-large city. They all have bad areas, but there is also all kinds of nice areas that offer every organized sport and water sports you can think of year around. It's also in close proximity to some world class beaches and fishing.
@@willcordelo9582 Going east of the 75 is dangerous, full of libs, gangs, and crime. Ybor City cleans up the gunfire victims every weekend- 40 years ago it was a nice place. It just seems like the Pasco is full of dopers and they'll break in your car. Panama City is nearly too far east for me.
@@GardenerEarthGuy The Tampa greater is huge, thats a super common misconception because of Ybor. That is the party and clubbing area where crime is so high because they target tourists. Tampa in general is really nice and I'm biased towards East coast FL where I'm from
All the species is a real task, big or small, think of how many sharks there are you need to wait hours for. Unless the length of the edited videos combined is 3 days in total. Cmon in 72 hours of video content you can do it!
@@Philliesfan876 it truly is beautiful there, we do the same thing renting a house on a canal near the gulf and fish! We used to rent a pier for a couple night as well on pine island but they no longer offer private night rentals 😓😭
Very neat video for those of us who "used" to fish back in the day and who really enjoy your thoughtful presentation on this video. Thank you so much I really liked the video.
Wish I would have known. You could have stopped in Daytona beach area and we could have fished. We have some cool brackish water spots too 😎. Tomoka state park.
Hi Brant!! My husband and I love, love, love your videos!!! We really look forward to watching them and can't wait for the next one :) My brother is up that way now fishing at the MB Miller Pier. He's having a hard time finding live shrimp in that area. Any suggestions on where to find live shrimp by that pier? Thanks Brant!!!
Should have stop at Tampa then Bonita beach. Cut down on krome ave to go to the keys. Before the keys go to biscayne bay at jetty walk trail. Can’t wait for part 2.
I've worked all over Florida and my favorite place to go to was everglades but I didn't get a chance to fish it but it is on my bucket list. Thanks for all of your informative videos.
Hey Brant, noticed you wearing a pair of WaterLand sunglasses, been looking at getting some new shades and they're on my shortlist. Curious what you think of them, and if you have a code so if I pull the trigger you can get a referral out of it.
Next time your in Pensacola a really good fishing spot is at fort pickins it’s a little packed but is insane with the variety and how much fish there are
You should do a video on how to use google maps to find preferred fishing spots in your area. I use google maps to try to find areas that I think are good but most often don’t have success. I’m speaking only for land based opportunities.
According to deermeat and Landshark (Victor), the snakeheads are absolutely delicious to eat! South Florida chefs are preparing them as table fare. Not bad for a very invasive fish.
Sail cats and hard heads are two completely different species and taste completely different. I agree that sail cats aren't bad and get much larger than hardheads. I have done a catch and cook with one on my channel.
@@AnglerUpTv I've caught sale cats that weighed up over 80 lb, I'm sure you can still catch them in the intercoastal between Juno Beach and Jupiter. If you ever drive through that area again.
"You're goal on I-75 is to not just total you're vehicle" - so true!

Isn't crime super extreme in Tampa? I tend to stay away from the lib areas in Florida and stay in Central Time Zone.
