Zahle is nothing like I remember in 1932. The little river, yes, but it was dry. Cobblestone steps up the hill to my Grandma's house. And I remember a villiage oven where women took their dough to be baked. My uncle had a garage right near the river. Owned one of the two cars in town. He was a tourist guide. Everybody knew everybody. There was a vineyard on top of a hill where the kids swam in the irrigation pools (looked like a swimming pool). I spent a year there. I remember riding a donkey, which I fell off. I remember everyone drank turkish coffee and smoked water pipes. I thank God for my good memory. Thanks for the tour.
