Sometimes provenance adds more value than the item itself. I have a few badges that was once belong to actor Christopher Lee, the tickets has writings that was by him. Ancient coins once pass through the hands rich and famous collectors. Arthur Conan Doyle was a big ancient coins collector and his collection was sold in the 60s and coins with provenance attach to him goes a high price.

I'ts a beautiful coin, in very nice shape and has lots of eye appeal, the abstract conservation grade (VF+, EF, etc.) doesnt mean much in my view compared with artistic style, metal + strike quality, patina, etc. of an individual coin.

As a metal detectorist I am the first in hundreds of years that holds a coin. Should I make a provenance when I give a coin away? I’ve never sold a coin because I think of it as a hobby and don’t want to make any money out of it. But there comes a time that I wil do have to part of the coins that I’ve found. What should be in the provenance that I make? And looking at the future, what will last long? Not all paper is to last for centuries? Thanks! 👍

Sell them to me. I've over 18 coins of Julian, because I love him. He is my rolemodel.
I am obviously speaking in jest... Somewhat. If you decide you wish to sell them, I am young, and would love to purchase more... As is I already inflated the prices of Julian coins on ebay due to my excessive buying of them a few months ago..
