CYPRUS KITESURFING CHAMPIONSHIP - KING OF KITE 2023 WITH CHRISTOPHE TACK

Summer in Cyprus is full of parties and happenings but there is one event that stands out every year, KING OF KITE. The 10th Cyprus Kitesurfing Championship held at Kahuna Surfhouse, Softades Beach in Kiti on the 28th, 29th & 30th of July. KING OF KITE is an experience not to be missed, join the event as an athlete or spectator. Amazing water acrobatic competitions, incredible speeds in the races, pumping dj sets, beach parties and unique pop up shops will make this an unforgettable event. Nothing beats the combination of sun, fun, adrenaline and crazy extreme sports.
Kitesurfing is the fastest growing watersport in the world as it combines all the thrills of windsurfing, surfing and wakeboarding. It's gaining huge popularity on the island, therefore our aim is to put Cyprus on the international kitesurfing hotspot map. Our island is a hidden kitesurfing gem that is now getting recognition worldwide due to events like the KING OF KITE. Kitesurfing is not only an amazing sport to be involved in but it's also fantastic to watch. We would describe it as gymnastics in the air, huge jumps, crazy speeds and insane action. Not to mention the multicoloured kites in the beautiful Mediterranean Sea.
The first KING OF KITE took place in 2013, due to its popularity it's now an annual event for the 10th year in a row. The event runs over 3 days and is hosted by a different professional kitesurfer each year. Our hosts are always the best in the world in their discipline; champions, former champions and Olympic gold medalists.
