- Hey friends!
It’s time to get the sawmill open for the year. It’s up and running, but not without a few issues going on. Hopefully I can sort them out, but the oil is changed and a few tweaks here and there, as per usual, at the beginning of the season.
It’s also time to get a pile of logs at the ready for my upcoming workshop build this year - but that too has its glitches, and I have to re-think the whole thing now. 😏
We’re looking after some friends dogs, so currently at 8 dogs and 1 cat. Plus Steve is now in Japan on his boat, so I’m flying solo for a couple of weeks.
Got some cute pet footage thrown in this one for those that have missed seeing them!
Have a great week, thanks for watching and see you in the next one!
M 💜💝💜
I’m losing it with that mosquito on your shoulder. I wanted to smack my TV…😖
Me as well lol .
Me too, while editing! 😂
I saw that too. That's a huge skeeter for sure!
Made me go back and review to find it! That things gettin' some Michy blood!
@michygoss7148 How's that skeeter bite? 😂 I had that clip from, "Wolf on Wallstreet" that everyone uses where DeCaprio whistles and points going through my mind.😂😂
Good morning. Always great to see a new video. Levi's should hire you as a jean model. Thanks for sharing. Take care!
Well said. I agree! Either Levi’s or Husqvarna💪🏽
I agree. :)
Hola amiga es ermoso todo lo que aces amiga
Always enjoy your videos. You are a very talented woman who wears many hats. A nurse, miller, builder, thinker, animal rescuer, TH-camr, a wife, and an inspiration to others. I’m sure there’s more, I’m glad I found your channel. 🙂
2 weeks sounds like just enough time to build the workshop.
Right by the house.
If I were to even attempt to imagine what dog heaven would look like, I'd say very much like your place.
Always good to see you back on the sawmill. Great video hugs to the puppies
"use your body while you can.." is the best advice anyone can offer to anyBODY, trust me I know..
My favorite badass who rocks a mean toolbelt, the chops to use it- drives/OWNS a BOBCAT- and of course, THE JEANS. Poor Steve…😊
Lord have mercy! Michy got her blue jeans on!
Michy, I love the segment at the end with the four-legged family members! That really puts everything in to perspective (at least for me). They just want time with you and Steve, no strings attached. Keep doing what you can , when you can, for as long as you can and make sure they stay part of yours and our world. Don't fret about the location of the workshop, Steve may come around.
I guess I should get off my butt and go do something. Thanks for the inspiration.
Love the jeans. You always make me smile
Looks like spring finally arrived up there. Thanks for the vid!
Another great video Michelle 😊 A couple helpful hints on your saw mill engine Be sure you are running high-octane non ethanol fuel And also because these engines are designed to run so lean that's what's making it Knock Add 2 oz of automatic transmission fluid to your fuel per gallon And this will help alleviate the problem Trust me I've been doing it for years 😊 You're an amazing hard-working lady Michelle❤
Michelle, we can see what you do for exercise. It seems that property ownership goes hand in hand with "always something that needs" done! I guess that includes someone who needs petted as well. Thanks for interspersing dogs and rippling water in your video's. Very calming and a delight to see and listen too. Hope you have a great week. Thanks for Sharing!
Great videos. Girl I don't know of anyone on TH-cam that displays a pair of jeans as well as you do. Keep up the great videos and the great displays of jeans.
Nice work! Ironically woodland mills has rekindled my relationship with Levi's 😊
Thanks for my weekly Clyde "fix" haha I adore all your dogs but Clyde has a special place in my heart❤
I know. Me too. He’s my special boy for sure. ❤❤
To get another row of logs on bobcat’s forks, get the bobcat to lift four logs and put a short offcuts under each end of the outer log. Lower the forks, and the fourth log will roll on top of the others. This can probably be repeated.
slap, slap! SLAP, SLAP! THE MOSKITO ALREADY! 😆
Backbreaking work ! Definitely leads to a good night's rest 😌.
Well it's good that you're Milling again you got to keep busy😂 and thank you for a lovely ending on your video that was really nice to see your whole family having fun and Clyde he's such a teddy bear😂❤❤❤
You are a very wonderful girl. I admire you so much. I wish I could be by your side to experience your work and have you share it. I wish you good health. I am always with you. .
Good morning Michelle, always good to see you and your furry kids. Glad to see you remembering and using all your safety gear. Part of the sawmill pinging issue could be the difference between summer and winter fuel formulations. While you are on phone with the technical support team ask if they have a part number for the drain plug extension and valve.
Wishing you and your furry family a blessed week. Safe journeys and smooth sailing for Steve. Stay safe out there. Peace princess
Your pups have the best life…thank you.
Happy Dogs! Happy Life! My dogs are very happy to be back in Durango for the summer.
Your eyes are intoxicating. And I agree that mosquito drove me crazy! ❤
Happy Mothers Day. Thank you for the puppies in the truck video
Great picture of everyone in the back of the truck u did not waste time and got some stuff done good work have a great week
Another day in the life of the Michygoss "Pack". Dog heaven. Or as Clyde would say...."Raarf raarf....!! Which in dog talk means "I love her and she loves me".... Life is good.
Ahh yes, my favorite time of year... Michelle being buff and a total babe at the same time. Press on and have fun.
Dig the way you interact with your audience. You’re a super-cool chick.
This Lady makes those jeans look great
you've got quite the dog pack there Michy .Good to see Clyde still ruling the roost
Precious dogs! How lucky they are to have y’all!
Un 10 Michygoss,da gusto ver tus videos y los perrillos super felices
Love seeing the milling. Something so satisfying seeing a raw tree section turn into beautiful milled pieces of wood. That truck bed full of puppy dogs was just hilarious. Like a school bus full of kids. Good to see that beautiful cat, too! I can’t remember its name. Thanks for the great video Michelle!
His name is Southgate!
@@michygoss7148 Thank you!
MOSQUITO!...LOL!...Nice work ketchup gurl!... GOOD LUCK STEVE!
Those jeans really are made for you and you wear them nicely
Happy Pack Mother’s Day Michele. To the best Pack Mom ever. Good to see the gang plus! Lol Sorry to hear about the workshop issue. You certainly have a need for one. You’ll work something out in your usual way. Take care and stay safe!
Loved the dog "raft" in the back of the pickup at the video's end. At least canines are more "placeable" than felines!
Good morning Michelle . I don't ever recall seeing a more beautiful saw mill than your place. A beautiful and very talented, hard ass worker and lover to all your fur babies. There is a heaven on this Earth, and your making it! Another professional video with great views and lot's of heavy and hard work. But it appears you have a goal in your mind and perusing it makes you happy inside. I love all your wonderful projects. There is so much to do. Hoping you have a blessed and safe and Fabulous week. Hugs from Santa Barbara 🤗😘🙏👋😎🌹🍷
Well darlin, Happy Mothers Day. Drive on and dont give up, life can be very rewarding living off grid. Its not for everyone or the cities would all be empty. Peace out.
Hi MG! I hope your kids (dogs and SG) made your Mother's day fantastic! They at least made you breakfast and took you for a walk, right? 😄
On Friday, I just sawed for the first time this year on my little 130Max. Springtime is wonderful, and I made a huge pile of monster oak logs this winter.
I hope you have a very productive week, Wonder Woman! Thanks for sharing! 😊
I look forward to your videos all week long. Always the best part of my sundays.
great video, its nice to get things done around the house that need done. look forward to that large stack of milled lumber. look forward to your next video.
Your black dog was trying to tell you, you have a mosquito on you left arm 3:53. love your videos. peace be with you.
I'm in awe of you and how you handle everything, never miss an episode.
I truly enjoy your sawmill videos. It's fun to see what other people are doing with their timber. Thanks for the video.
You are awesome not just as a person but as a spouse and pet owner. You inspire me to interact better with my dog.
When using a splitting maul, don't bother striking in the middle of the wood. Always aim for the nearside edge. It makes finishing the job so much easier! I split dozens of cords of firewood as a moneymaking venture in high school.
You’re right! I have seen that technique before too, so must keep remembering to use it!
Yes all the companey that made the saw mill.
It's great to see how happy Lenny looks now that he has Luna and is in a better place health wise. Thank you to you and Steve for providing such a great place for dogs to be dogs. If there is an after life (which I believe there is) you will be warmly received and rewarded! Keep up the great videos. And don't be too critical about your skills and doing things the "right" way. You have plenty of skill and are very smart and resourceful. Trust yourself!!!
Yes little Lenny is thriving for sure. It’s so nice to see that!
I loved the "action shot" intro. It would've been cute to have seen it with an 80s style TV theme song.
So beautiful. I love your tenacity.
"It's a dog's life"... and a damn good one!
Good afternoon Michelle and puppies and Steve, a reminder today is your day off workaholic, today is Michelle day ❤❤❤❤❤❤ have a blessed and wonderful day to you ❤
❤the smiley dogs in the truck😊😅
Them puppies living their best life!
Thank you Michy! Just tell Steve the workshop is a Man Cave!
Hey, those quick oil drains are only $21.53 at Koller Engine Parts. I have a 19HP Briggs & Stratton with a quick drain. The Briggs version seems to be less expensive.
Post Production Photos Pickup Pops Pups, Perfection!!!
YOUR AN AMAZING CREATIVE HARD WORKING STRONG WOMEN WHO IS NOT AFRAID OF ANY JOB OR TASK AT HAND... ENJOYING YOUR VIDIOS.
Love to watch you do anything ❤
The appearance of your cottage's vertical siding sort of reminds me of the stripes on your chip monk friend Johnny's back.
Oh those gorgeous eyes. Love all that you do.
Michy, you’re truly an inspiration to watch. I’m new to milling (Bought an HM-122 last year) and a brand new subscriber. My wife wouldn’t even consider attempting to start a chainsaw, let alone use it to cut firewood. The world could use more amazing women like you! Keep making great videos and I’ll keep watching. PS, I also have Watched Sawing with Sandy for milling advice. Love from Wisconsin❤.
Yes indeed you have great genes, and great jeans. Great vid.
Thanks girl well done as always keep up the good work. Be safe watch your six God bless Gene Gorringe Mi USA 💛 💙 🇺🇲
That was a great days work, It is a great Shame that Steve won’t let you build your workshop near the property, it will make great sense for running the electrics, security, and not having far to go to do a job, especially in the winter time, Perhaps if we all pester Steve that he might change his mind, Please Steve natural good lady have a workshop near the property, you know it make good sense, And she will be truly grateful, 😂, great to see you are wearing your personal protection gear, Keep up the amazing work stay safe, it’s a dogs life where you live they are living in a life of luxury,
I know, I was a bit sad about it but no sense in continuing to cry over spilled milk. Haha.
Winter is when I need the space most, and being far away from the house in winter is when it’s gonna be the most challenging. But I will have to figure something out!
@@michygoss7148 with all that space around your house, it is a great opportunity for you to have a workshop, putting your creative skills to good use, And to give you more content to upload in the winter months when it will be very difficult to go outside, good luck, I wish you all the best for the future, I hope you can resolve the problem,
such a beautiful place to live wow. She is amazing too
Clyde is such a hound. Thanks for the extra footage of the dogs.
You are amazing Michy, and to think you have a regular job on top of all you milling activities, your domestic work plus caring for all the pets, just so well done young lady 👍✨
Thank you!
Hi Michelle. Those are some pretty happy dogs. You and Steve have done a great job with them. The good news with having your new work shop away from the house is that you can hide more stuff from Steve. 😆 Take care
That’s true! 😂
Thank you, Michelle for another wonderful video, your determination or something to behold. Keep up the good work and you will get to finish eventually no matter what .Anyway, have a wonderful day and a beautiful week.
I like the new decal on your mill !!! Awesome!
What a beautiful place you two have always a pleasure to watch!!
Happy Mother’s Day, Michy. I hope the pups slobber all over you with affection!😍🇨🇦
My new favorite channel! The best dog I ever had was a black lab named Daisy. I miss her everyday but feel very fortunate that she was part of my life for as long as she was.
Now that's a machine (the mill) I would love to have, but no money for that... 😢
@AlongThePathsOfNature
Hi Michelle, Steve, Pups 🐾🐶 and 🐈⬛too 😊 👋🏻Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's 💗🫶🏻 Thank you, hope you're doing well, have a wonderful day 🙂God Bless 🙏🏻 Appreciate you my friends!🫶🏻
BRAVO for wearing a mask while cutting cedar!!!!!!
I know!!! I’m so proud of myself too!!!😂
mostly here for the doggies 😍 ..good vid! 👍
You need to get a hook a roon to grab those logs with to move them around easier.
You are living the dream! Love it.
We watch you at the Firehouse...Giving us a lot of retirement ideas🤙🏾
What a great video Mitch. First time watching your channel. Love the dogs at the end
You should build a ramp for the dogs to get into the bakkie. Thanks for the great videos
You’ve got to get your self a ‘cant hook’ for handling those logs!
Great job Michelle! Spot on about using everything as an opportunity to stay fit! MANY people are just too lazy nowadays or at least look for a short cut/easy way out! Long as its not too heavy, too repetitive or over-straining your back, then using work(play) as a workout is the way ive ALWAYS approached life from back in my early teens! Very tenacious and I see that in you also!(Along with the perfectionism I have!) ..If youre gonna do it do it 100%! Lol 😆
Have a great week! Hope the boats ok and look forward to whatever shenanigans youre up to in the next one! 😉😂👍🏻🏴🇬🇧
I think the pinging is a air/fuel setting. Should be 1 or 2 screws to adjust. Tighten the idial and slowly advance it till it starts idialing, then adjust air/fuel mixture. Love your videos, the dogs, your work ethic and of course your jeans.
Hope Steve sends some videos of the "Duck" back to BC.
Hello from the rocky mid-coast of Maine. I was hatched in Winnipeg in 1952.

Real good episode Michelle. I like to see you working the mill machines and tools. Your skills have greatly improved from a few years ago when I first started following your channel. Keep up the good progress and work, kid! Im looking forward to watching your proposed workshop progress as it evolves! I just finished mine, and it feels so good. I hope yours ends up feeling that way too.
You might’ve already figured this out. I’d recommend, storing a rope or chain, with your unit. Then you could wrap it around your log(s) and use your machine to move the logs! 😉
Great advice on keep moving. Keeps you young & fit.
I wish I knew someone locally, where I live-PNW, that has a Sawmill. I have lots of big trees on my property. Mostly evergreens, Maples and I have lots of big alders, but I wouldn't build anything with alder wood. Looking forward to all of your Pro-Jects!!!
Get yourself a mill!!
@@michygoss7148 I would love to get a mill. My
Mind says yes, and my body says no, I'm getting a bit too old for that kind of work. I live alone and if I got hurt no one would know.
For the pinging try going up to the next grade of fuel that is a higher octane that could possibly help or also Johnson Evinrude makes a product called 2+4. You can get it at Walmart or at your local marina and add that to your fuel that is a cleaner and that will help clean your carburetor and your engine run better, good luck. I hope these tips out stay safe. Stay strong.🇺🇸👊🏼👊🏼
👍👍👍👍 Respect, respect, Michelle. 🌞🌞🇩🇪
Hermosa, inteligente ,fuerte, talentosa en lo que hace, ruda y femenina. Es perfecta. Vive en un sitio increíble.
definitely need to get yourself a couple of( heavy duty) Michy ratchet straps for that skid loader....it doesn't matter what age you are , work smarter not harder
Good work! Thanks for uploading awesome content. 👍
There's Gold in that creek , Happy Mother's Day
