Another question: where did you get all those intimate 'states of mind'? "His mouth goes dry", "the blood disappears from his skin" ... etc ... ? Thanks!

45:25 With the powers of hindsight at my hands, I'll remind you that the Supreme Court had decided that, indeed, when the President does it, it's not illegal. Also, with the powers of history at my hands, I'll note that the question of Executive Power has been around in the US for a long time - I can remember Franklin Roosevelt threatening to use it if the Supreme Court doesn't stop striking down his New Deal legislation. BTW, IMHO, one can't put Trump and Nixon on the same level - Nixon did do some important realizations like, for instance, creating the EPA.

The podcast is really nice - it's entertaining and (it seems, at least) well researched. I just have to make one observation: the guy narrating the women's parts makes it sound like bad comedy and is distracting (imho).

When Ian and Kevin appeared before a parliamentary committee, one might question whether former Mirror employees seriously believed there would be any honest dialog about what had happened to their missing pension funds. Alas, most lawyers can at times be tiresomely long-winded, but Ian and Kevin's "briefs", George Carman and John Jarvis, set a new record, - they took over 45 minutes to say absolutely nothing. A brief summary of their discourse would be:
"Our reputation as defense lawyers depends on us getting our clients acquitted - no matter how; therefore, unless you brought a car battery, jumper-leads and a saline sponge, neither we nor our clients are saying diddly squat!"
"We will now ignore your questions".

If you read a paper owned by Maxwell, or listen to a TV programme owned by Maxwell, then try and separate the bias from fact.
