I was so happy to run into this tutorial of the RadioLink / RC6GS V2 as it was easy to understand and extremely informative. I just picked up the RC4GS V2 and the menu and functionality is quite similar and this video reallyhelped me out. Thanks Kindly for the great information. The thing I like most is that you have a 6s Typhon on your bench. My favorite RC for sure. 💯👍
You're welcome👍🏽💯 awesome radio. Wish I can add more than 10 receivers to this Radiolink RC6GS V2. I have 25+ cars I wish I can add so I bought another remote.😊
@Tony Bilotta For lights to work you need a switch relay. I use this and it works on all the available channels. Apex RC Products RC Remote Electronic AUX Channel On/Off Switch #9025 www.amazon.com/dp/B07BKSGW3D/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_J5CR4807KDR1ZJ9VP22H
Good info... Question: I use only 2 ch in my Boat, Ch#1 Steering & Ch#2 ESC, the steering is OK. But the Throttle Ch#2... I can't seem to get it set correctly. All I want, is to be able to Pull the Trigger ...from the "Neutral Position" on the TX... pull it BACKWARDS to 100% Speed, thats it. I don't need any braking etc., Can u offer some help here? I'd appreciate it.
Your channels are correct. I would consult with your local hobby shop and ask them to look at it. But try calibrating with the throttle position neutral.
How did you connect your battery telemetry cable to see the battery voltage I have the v5 Typhon and I just got this radio link v3 and my typhon is ic5 connector
Any switch can be used for on and off. You have to program and set it up the way you want. And for rpm sensor. I'm not familiar with that part. But you can probably find it on Radiolinks website. 👍🏽
Good video I have a question for setting reciever What light did you set on light? There are green, blue , purple How is it different ? I set gyro purple but when my typhon ran speed run, it was uncontroable. Thanks in advance
I set mine on green. The more gyro percentage you have the more uncontrollable your car is on speed runs which you probably noticed. The same with any gyro, TSM or avc. To much assistance is bad. Try tuning your ride alignment and suspension without gyro and get it straight. Which receiver you're using? I'm using the RF7G dual antenna. The colors means: White: PWM+PPM+SBUS+Gyro, 1-7 channels are output PWM signal, Purple: PWM+PPM+SBUS+Gyro; 1-5 channels are output PWM signal, 6th channel is output PPM, 7th channel is output SBUS signal. Green: 1-7 channels are output PWM signal, without Gyro Blue: PWM+PPM+SBUS output; 1-5 channels are output PWM signal, 6th channel is output PPM, 7th channel is output SBUS signal, without Gyro. The difference between the lights is the channel outputs signals and servo signal.
I do not know. I haven’t used this remote for my Nitro cars YET. But when I do I’ll definitely share it. But I do know that the PMIX setting has something to do with nitro and gas vehicles.
Help me! Since day 1 my radiolink 6G and xlx2 acts weird when I let off throttle! It won’t coast and just roll… the motor wants to copy the throttle so close that it jerks the transmission unless I let off the throttle immediately! It’s not castle link bcs my aux is unplugged and disable. It’s been doing it since before I even made changes to the radio’s expos.. have you ever seen that since you have the same components? My newest video is of this problem if you can solve it! Thanks
No can't say I have seen this. I would suggest resetting everything back to factory including your ESC. Get a castle link too just to make sure you're running right. And go back over the steps I did. And if you are running SENSORED then make sure you use that castle link for motor direction then calibrate. And if that doesn't work adjust it through your remote and then calibrate ESC. Make sure your motor wire connects are clean and snug and plugged in the appropriate connection.
@@MatrixRC thank you for the reply. I’m still using the radio that came with my rtr, so, I know this would be an improvement. However, I have read & watched so much about this being a great transmitter for crawling, not as much about racing. Did you have any complaints about it for racing? Would you recommend this or something else as a first racing radio?
Good question. As far as racing I've tried at my local track and compared to my other remotes this one was not ergonomically comfortable. But that is because I use other remotes. The longer you use a remote the more familiar you become with it.
Hey sorry to bug ya but with gyro on my car just wants to run circles. I've rebound it multiple times and turned off and on the gyro on the receiver to no avail
@@MatrixRC goes about a foot and cuts hard right and holds it. Got it mounted flat in the radio box, good tape holding it but the gyro thinks it needs to turn. Even tried different car and radiolink rx combos.
@Alurios B I don't know how you setup your car but it seems like you either have something plugged in incorrectly or your servo is not centered on the car or your remote settings are jacked up. Try disconnecting your servo horn and go back into your remote and reset your ST EPA to 100% both. And make sure your ST subtrim is at 0%. Now align your wheels to top dead center and hold in place. Reconnect servo horn to servo and adjust ST Subtrim if it does not seat smoothly on the servo splines. Once adjusted. Then set your ST EPA to your car again. Gyro has nothing to do with your wheels turning right. If that doesn't work try checking your F/S for fail safe. Turn it off

Thank you for sharing your experiences with this transmitter. Have you used it for racing or solely for speed runs where the range is important
Both

Yo do you need a high voltage servo
I always use a high voltage servo. Minimum 7.4v and 300 oz. Minimum
Can the radio link setup a luanch
Not sure.

Will it bind to the Typhon 6s smart receiver ? That comes with the Typhon ?
Are you asking if the radiolink remote, bind to a spektrum smart receiver? If so, absolutely not. They use different signal technology.
