If I hadn't gotten my Q3 43 yesterday, I would have never known there was such a good channel out here. You've done a wonderful job of speaking out and presenting yourself and your photos. I really love the vibe and tone that you create. Greetings! Looking forward to your videos.
Whaaaaaat i love this channel, why did i not know about this sooner!!! Instant sub! I also bought a q3 about 6 months back and absolutely love it. Thinking of adding a q3 43 but ugh that pricetag is no joke. Love all your images and cannot wait to see more!!🎉
This video much more helpful than the other quick review videos. Such as my country reviewers . I’m a Korean photographer who seriously considering to buy the Q3 😂. When I got my own Leica Q3 as first Leica then I will comeback here to reply on .
Really enjoyed this video. Your cinematography is on point! I have an original Leica Q even though the megapixels are less it still has that lens. Looking forward to more great content.
I was also in Venice this year with my Q3. Since 2024 I have left my a7IV with all GM lenses at home. I have traveled to Venice, Barcelona, Lake Garda and most recently Thailand with the Q3. An incredibly great camera and I have never regretted buying it.
@ Same here! I typically use Sony for video but have been curious about the Q3’s video capabilities since I’ve also mainly used it for photography. I’ll give it a try one of these days.
Nice work, glad I came by and subbed. Looking forward to more videos from you. I’ve been using the Q2 for about a year, and am about to add the M11p to my bag. Keeping the Q2 for now, as there is a lot to love about it.
Nice video. You still liking the 28mm? I’m looking to buy and don’t have a store near me. So conflicted with the 28vs 43. Maybe rent one first. Do you think you would have bought the 43 over the 28?
@@rebelwithano If I had an option between the 28 vs 43, I would absolutely pick the 43. While I love having a 28mm available to me at such high quality, I still consider myself to prefer 35mm and above for most photography that I do. 35-50mm is more comfortable for me, but in a way that’s why I still enjoy and plan to keep the 28mm: it challenges me to try new styles of shooting than what I’m used to.
It’s like that! I notice that with more outdoorsy trips, the Sony A7 series is great and I like to pretend I’m a National Geographic photographer for 2 days 😂 I love getting nature/animal shots with it. Meanwhile for city/street, the Q3 would be my pick out of the two.
Beautiful shots from my favorite photo place, Venice! I’m also a Q3 28 owner and I love it just as it is and while I’m still adjusting to its unique focal length, the Q3 43 came out and messed things up… I’d be curious to know your thoughts comparing the 28 with the 43 as a “do it all, go anywhere” compact camera for documenting travels, vacations, life as it happens. 🙂 Oh, btw, I think you can see the battery percentage in the Leica Fotos app when paired.
Wonderful photography and videography. Love your overall aesthetic including your choice of elegant music. I recently purchased the Q3 28mm and questioned my choice after the Q3 43mm was released, but after watching this video all my doubts of the 28mm have been assuaged. I just need to go out and shoot 🙂
@@simonsharky3880 I’m glad you’re enjoying the Q3 and sticking with the 28mm! I also had the same thought when the Q343 came out as I’d love to have that 50mm on me. But the 28mm is definitely a unique experience of its own and I’m learning a lot with it so I’d say it’s worth keeping!
Great video! I also am a Sony shooter and just got the Q3. Loving it. Taking a trip to London soon and only taking the Leica. It is a gateway camera. SL3 in my future?
Thanks! Nice, have fun with it in London! I contemplated whether I should just swap all my Sony gear for Leica, but I love my Sony too much + the video capabilities are better in my opinion.
Great job awesome color grading great information. We would like to hire you once you get out of the military to head our new social media content creation department. keep up the great work we will be in touch
I love the color grading and aesthetic of Venezia video. Is it dehancer? i can see that beautiful ''moving grain''. It would be amazing a tutorial about!
@@kaneda8625 Hey! It’s actually a combination of Serr Villasano’s FilmVision Powergrade and Joel Famularo’s Phantom Luts for Sony FX3. I’ve been considering giving Dehancer a try though! I’ll make a video rundown on how I grade sometime down the line.
Wow 300+ subs with only 5 videos nice! Great video I have the M11, I had to sell my Harley for it. Made a whole series on it if you feel like checking it out. Anyhow I subscribed because I like your calm pace and pictures, besides us small channels can benefit from supporting each other. The one with the boy by the doorway is my favorite. I’m actually on a year long commitment using the 28mm only. I thought of getting the Q3 but I don’t think it’s there yet for some of the reasons you mentioned on the video. All the best keep uploading!
Hi great review and pics of Venice. You have a lovely way of presenting yourself and since I'm also new to Leica and Q3's I'm subscribing to see more. I have both Q3's, yes I'm blessed, and find with a grip which it looks like you have, its easier to grab the top of the screen to pull out since the grip base gets in the way of the bottom of the screen. And I can't recommend more the RRS L-Bracket grip, with arch-swiss, QD port and great ergo. Yes if you keep the bluetooth off it saves a lot of battery. Don't leave in eco mode either. Also the thumb grips are very nice and Amazon has one for $100, much less than the Leica version and it works and looks exactly the same. I also see your left eye dominant as I am, do you find that difficult with the EVF on the far left of camera? You should check out Hudson Henry's ATS video's on setting up the 6 user profiles and FN buttons, gives you a good start and deep knowledge of all the menu items and functions, and he shares his settings files so you can use that to load your starting points. I've made changes from there for my own shooting and FN button setups. Enjoy! I know I will! :)
This video was much more than a camera review. Immediate sub and looking forward to more of your videos. Beautifully done.

Great choice, 28mm is a beautiful focal length. I bought the first Q and it completely changed the way I work, all for good reasons.
I have the Q2 and M262 which i use mostly with a zeiss 35mm lens and its like using a camera instead of a computer for me which i like.
Nice work and thank you for your service, from an old veteran-1970-1971 US Army.
