Thanks for the video! Any tips on how to reduce the larger amount of slope in the steering? Looks like there’s quite a bit of play in the links and balls.
I can try too, i no longer have that car or the gyro form it. I remember people having difficulty with it and even Yokomo themselves replaced this gyro with their own YG-302 v2 in later batches of this particular RTR.
I was looking at my MST Rmx 2.0 rtr and after closer investigation. The shocks are NOT truly threaded. 🤦🏻♂️ It’s a fake threaded shock body. Needless to say I’m a little disappointed lol.
The plastic shocks on the MST are definitely threaded but it's an aluminum preload collar on a plastic threaded shock body so its bound to strip or crossthread at some point, i see it often
The brushless version is a Canadian exclusive so far only available on our website (we our out of stock at time of typing this message) and Elite Drift Shop (elitedriftshop.ca).
Elite Drift Shop was the first to bring this RTR version into Canada. Elite Drift Shop is also the distributor for Yokomo drift products so this might be why.
its weird because we bought one in japan and had mentioned your video and they told us that even in Japan it was never sold with a brushless system so it's weird as well. wish i could have bought a brushless version right off the bat.
Thanks for the video!

This kit does use the newer Yokomo 4.8mm spec ball studs and cups which do have more slop than the predecessor version the 4.3mm spec.
What is the sizes needed for the battery of this car?
Can you do a video on how to set the gyro up. Mine appears to blink blue and red ive seen some only bline blue.

Awesome video!!!!!!
Thank you for checking it out :)
what oiled shock suspension would you recommend for this kit?
Best fit for this YD-2 Z RTR platform right away would be Yokomo's Big Bore SLF shock set (3 colours available too...black, red and purple).
@@BadShoppe thanks I went ahead and got me a purple

I feel like the brushless one is an accident or something, because I can only find one place that has sold them besides your shop.
