Robert Cray has an incredible voice. After Albert's great solo Robert comes in so powerfully and intensely that it ran chills up my spine over and over with every stanza of his vocal.
There are great blues players out there like Robert, BB, A King, Stevie. But no one can make you feel the blues with a single note like Albert. The best feeling ever. RIP Iceman
They are all great.. I prefer to view music as not a competition.. we are blessed to have heard the voices (guitar and singing) of Albert Collins.,.Albert King … BB along… Freddie King… Otis Rush… Muddy, Wolf., Lightnin’ Hopkins, John Lee Hooker And so many more distinctive and legendary blues “recording *artists*…!
I saw this on the telly some 22 years ago... Albert Collins inspired me to learn and play the blues guitar. I've just bought a guitar and started lessons still thinking about this song!
I don't think I've ever made it through the original studio album without pausing on this song about five or six times. And if you listen to this recording of the live version, you'll know why.
i happily got to see all three at separate shows. Got to meet, talk with and share a beer with ALBERT in 1985. Incredible guitarist and showman. That"s what da blues iz all about.

You got it! Thumb & pointer talkin’ the blues…
This song is from the Showdown album, one of the best modern blues records ever recorded.
I miss YOU Albert Collins..
Robert Cray has it all: great voice, and can solo with the best of them. Must have been a real thrill to have played with Albert Collins.

Collins, so much said with such little effort. Genius.
You can just listen to this song but if you don't FEEL it down deep, you are not human.

Collins can make one note sound better than a million by Clapton and Joe Bonamassa and more. What.A. Boss.
Never disappointed with the MAN, #ROBERTCRAY. WOW.

Robert Cray has a superb voice. I would love to have seen these two playing together.
I love Mister Albert Collins, nice Concert,
Albert Collins makes that Telecaster TALK!!!!
I like to think that in rock you make the guitar sing, but playing the blues you make the guitar cry 🥲
