The toughest in it is to stay yourselves. Most of us compete in a rat race and instead of being able to focus on details of our PF we waste time for pre hand advices, taking more duties for smaller prizes an very often from outside graphic skills.
I am thankful for free tips like yours and it’s great to watch a well organised content.
I have about 20 years of experience in dealing with clients serving all around type of production mostly based on design and photography. Local based businesses are more and more under corpo influence what ruins all the fun and artistic aspects.
Although 90% visits are on mobile, any addition of effects and animations bothers SEO effects, we still start from desktop hoping that one shot will be enough to stay in potential customers mind.
I just wanted to share my thoughts and keep all of you motivated no matter what AI does or how great your competition looks like, create your landing and portfolio to match your style, needs and be proud of it! No matter what situation you are in, if you keep it real and honest there always be someone who will vibe with you and place an order.
Don’t waste time of your life for completing free or low payed jobs. Study and practice more instead in order to make yourself more confident, happy and better.
Stay healthy, stay safe & stay creative!!
      Peace 2 all yo! ;)

Thanks, your videos are the Bible of Graphic design my man! - I wish you can upload a video that explains how to get customers or preferably a full time job. I know you’ve already posted a few videos about that. I started my Graphic Design journey in 2017 and got a few freelance customers and a few jobs too but I feel like it’s impossible to land one now.. I’m on Behance and feel like I have a decent portfolio but still haven’t landed even an interview.. I started thinking of creating a website but I’m not really sure how is it going to help me? I also thought about reaching out to potential customers but I was like that’s just going to sound pretty stupid and if an employer wants you they will reach out to you.. I feel like I’m hitting a wall with this job hunt journey. Any tips?

Great vid thank you. Any suggestions/recommendations on what website builder to use to make a portfolio. Something that would have interactive elements like you showed.
My current site is on WIX, but I was looking at switching to Adobe’s own portfolio site builder.

Would be interested in Your thoughts about portfolio creation with accessibility in mind. Something that doesn't involve scroll jacking, uncontrollable autoplay or animation as these can be UX irritants.

    • @mildaosina

Agreed, it would be awesome to see tips such as that.
I like the tip in this video regarding showcasing designs in a printed-out format. Thinking about it, that in itself might be a better option for people more sensitive to trendy but potentially harsher-on-the-eyes things mentioned in the above comment (parallax and other types of unconventional scrolling, specific types of animations, etc.), as one can look through the paper portfolio at their own pace and keeping the pages steady.
But yes, it'd be interesting to see a take on how to perhaps do the trendy / creative approaches, but in a way that might be better suited to viewers (or makers) of the portfolio who get motion sickness easily or are sensitive to specific kinds of visuals in other ways.
I recall seeing a post by Sarah Doody (a UX designer who, as far as I've understood, regularly looks through others' portfolios), she wrote that she just closes all the pages that have uncontrollable animations etc. before even trying to look into the site's content because she gets motion sickness from excessive animation and of course doesn't want that triggered by looking at websites/portfolios.
      Here's a site to the post I mentioned: www.linkedin.com/posts/sarahdoody_uxportfolio-uxdesign-uidesign-activity-7191451940801667072-Uxzm?utm
Having said that, I think the tips on the mailing lists and chats are interesting, and, as I wrote before, the zine idea is also interesting. :) Would be great to see tips on showcasing creativity visually while also designing the portfolios with people sensitive to motion etc. in mind!

Any chance you have any resources for interactive website elements? Ive tried to implement that on my site with my non existent kmowledge on coding, but are there any tools that dont require coding that give a similar or same effect? I havent really heard of many/any other than built in platforms

The words on your channel banner are small and too hard to read. Love the content but I believe it is really unprofessional to teach design like you have authority whilst the first design ppl are going to see related to your competency is the banner, which is poor functional quality.
    Peace and God bless you
