i agree with you, a lot of plots in shows and books can be really plain now day and its hard for me to find stuff that stands out to me (which why i mostly read history nonfiction book now lol) but theres one comic or manga or whatever to call it, chainsaw man. its very confusing, the story goes everywhere and its ongoing so many theories. however i do think because the author/creator of it is very fond of popular west culture there is a lot of references hidden in his books. also in the show they made, lot of references in the opening video. i also see these ones, which are from the 90s or 80s so they are not recent which are very creative and mind crazy. serial experiments lain is very deep and has many layers, it is very good. but it is 90s and other is also 90s. a lot of popular things made in the 2010-2020 is all recognizeable and you can often tell the ending of it. i wonder if we will ever get out of this. maybe we should get a 10 year old who is not shown to the internet to make a whole new original plot. that was interesting
ben i totally recommend greta van fleet for a more original sounding band! they do have a lotta 70s sounding influences- but for this era they sound VERY original imo! i really recommend caravel & age of machine! but they're all really good

So basically there was a boy in my school that I'd never met before and didn't even have classes with but i saw him litterly EVERYWHERE in the halls during passing period and stuff and I noticed he was really cute! So I developed a crush on him and there was this girl that was supposed to be one of my best friends who in a conversation when she asked who I liked I told her this boy. Well he got so freaked out that on the last 2 days of school he went to the principle asking for help. so basically i have this 'friend' and she's like so mean for literally no reason, and pretty much all of my friends don't really like being around her. we have group chats with all of us but her, because it's the only way to do literally anything without her making all kinds of (rude, one-upping, invalidating, etc) comments on it. but all my friends and i are kinda way too scared to say anything and we keep talking with her and inviting her when we go out cause we're kinda incapable of just ignoring her. she also goes on about 'all men are bad'. like um i'm a guy, and a few of our other friends are guys, like??? how do i avoid this toxic little brat??
