I go there every year and stay with my friend at her house "Pilot House" across from the Tropics/ Juliana's. Best area to stay. You never get tired of walking around this beautiful island. So much to do , hiking trails, diving, and good food ! It is a small paradise !

So nice to see an actual, old-school and narrated walking tour from 2015 rather than everything today from a drone (they're all the same) with very bad techno "music". Nice job.

I was just on Saba this year . Some things have changed. Scouts Place is no longer there. It is still magical and friendly.

So they have completely demolished it. I'm sorry to hear that. So they are planning to build a whole new Scout's Place instead of partly renovating it! 🤔

Bonito paseo por Saba. Isla pequeña pero muy limpia según se sus antiguos habitantes fueron colonos holandeses

Because that town is "dead"! ;-) ... part of the appeal is being quiet and laid back I think... but maybe a karaoke bar or two might be fun!!

Monica Bitch The tiny island has been occupied for several generations. People die, and there isn’t much flat space for cemeteries, so they use what ground they can.

      Good question. Maybe no cemetery.

Just got back from 7 days on Saba. They do have graveyards. One is across from St. Paul's Conversion Catholic Church in Windwardside. The reason for all of the little graves outside private houses is because they let you bury your family there to keep them close to home. This was especially before "The Road" was completed. Back in the day, it was extremely difficult to get from one place on the island to another, especially while carrying a body/casket. Therefore, many people were buried in their yards.

My wife and I spent 10 days on St. Eustatius, Jan. 7-16, 2024, and 7 days on Saba, 17-24. Love St. Eustatius.
