Attack on Titan is officially over.... Part of me died together with the final chapter, and this is my last AOT Song cover for this year.

11 Years of AOT
AoT was an absolutely amazing adventure, I cried, I laughed, and loved every second of it. I wanted to see them all around his grave one last time
11 years and 7 months
10 years since I started the journey, now I'm an old man and my hearts broken knowing the kids I watched grow are gone. No new chapter next month, no continuation or closure. That's the part that broke my heart, I knew Erens fate but to know the characters IV watched grow are gone hits hard. 10 beautiful yet cruel years.

So many people think this ending sucks because Eren isn't a heartless mass Murderer who wins by using Historia's baby to complete the rumbling. Most people just can't grasp that AOT was at it's core an exploration of love and what you would do for your loved ones.
@@danlyday7248 All throughout the manga/anime, Eren's goal was to protect his loved ones, Mikasa and Armin most of all. Everything started with those three kids at the center, and it was always going to end with them. How people actually lost sight of that, I don't know.

In the 'Paths', Eren did play Grisha and Zeke but so many people were consumed by the 'holy shit Eren is a true Evil genius, ain't nothing stopping him' sedative that they weren't able to pick up the nuances in those chapters.
I can't believe how many people actually forgot the core theme of this literature. It is sad, really.

The fact is Aot is an anime of violence and bloodshed. But behind it, there is a unique love story that didn't happened.
Mikasa is such a beautiful character. She fights so hard to be at eren's side because she loves him. Is it so bad that she doesn't wanna lose him?
She has been through so much. Her family was murdered in cold blood right in front of her eyes, she was kidnapped to be sold like an animal. Once she found a new place to call home and a new family, she loses that too. And the person she loves the most, over her life even, is always on the verge of leaving her forever. She is always scared of losing him and in the end...well, we all know it's not gonna end well for eren.
I wish she finds peace in the end, a new home that she doesn't have to lose because no one can take it from her anymore in this world that eren left to her and his friends.

Expecting to change the ending would be a bit too much of high expectations but I really believe that they should show a proper shipment of eren and mikasa to clear everyone's doubts about their relationship I mean every emotion and everything cannot be spoon feeded every time as being a Asian and a prominent consumer of western media I can completely understand the cultural differences and how it affects the way people perceive things but for a time being let's just see this from a the real writer's pov.

The most shocking part of the final chapter was seeing Levi physically cry.
for me it's when eren explains he had to let smiling titan eat his mom for everything to happen, that just blew my mind how eren character is so tragic , he who only wanted freedom had to give up everything
For me: the fact Eren was only a 19 year old boy who only wanted to love and live with Mikasa instead of bearing the burden of the Eldians.
What angers me is that now Yaegerists and Historia have a military dictatorship, they stole Eren's famous words and turned them into fascist words. Haven't they learnt?! Eldia should negotiate peace instead of investing more and more in weapons to keep threatening the 20% of the left countries and leaving negotiations to the Aliance (Armin, Jean, Connie, Annie, Pieck...)

Mikasa and Levi were both left with basically nothing after the ending. Armin had Annie, Gabi and Falco had each other, Reiner, Jean, and Connie had their mums, but what do Mikasa and Levi actually have? All the people they deeply cared for are dead. No parents, no loves, a few distant friends, and Levi can't even walk anymore. The Ackermans both ended up with nothing.

I also think this is exactly what happened in 138. You see his Titan markings at the end of that sequence just as you see it in his visit to Armin. It’s just Mikasa got her memories earlier and that would make sense since she knew where Eren was afterwards.

These three elements of writing need to be conected to form a story. In attack on titan therr is no "conclusiom" i mean it felt like story just incomplete. Its like someone pushed you to write this ending. Is there a any logical explanation why eren let his mother eaten by dina? No. Is there a any logical explanation why eren said that things about mikasa? No. We didnt even saw anything about in the story that eren loving mikasa. He never showed any love feelings to mikasa. Why did eren made that talk with historia? Just cut the historia parts in the story and you wouldnt miss anything. It is just pointless. Thats what i ment when i said "pointless". I mean after what eren did world is now in the MUCH more bad state. If eren wouldnt born, world would be in better state. At least eldians would have defended themselfs. If that is the case why did we even watch eren doing all these things? It is pointless because now it doesnt mean anything when eren made all that talks about freedom. It doesnt mean anything when he talked about "tatakae". He asked to the reiner "why my mom was eaten?". Really? Did he really ask it? What was the point of asking that question? i hate when people compared Mikasa behavior in the 138 cap with School Days ending. Mikasa didnt kiss Eren head, they BOTH kiss each other because Eren kissed Mikasa too.

In Chapter 50 too he stood up to punch a titan with bare hands because of Mikasa's indirect confession. After that chapter, remember when Jean told him "I was the one who saved *your precious* Mikasa" He didn't even complain and was immediately determined to take responsibility of his titan powers... There's so much more. It's really always been there, the proof of his feelings for Mikasa.. He just didn't acknowledge them right away.

For what i understand, the dream in chapter one, was a timeline where, Eren choose to live with Mikasa. the dream is like a kind of prequel.
And the story that we read all along, is the final timeline where his decided to make plenty of sacrifices so that the majority can live a long life.
Now i guess he didn't knew about sasha's death for example. it was a part of consequence of changing the lines of previous timelines.
He saved bertholdt and bc of that the smiling titan instead of eating bertholdt, ate his mother. It wasn't intentional !

I was crossing my fingers that, by some crazy chance, this would be the ending theme in the finale, but I can't say I was disappointed. It's just that some of the older songs and soundtracks make my heart ache, especially now that the show bittersweetly concluded.
In my opinion, it's the most beautiful, tragic story ever written. Who needs Romeo and Juliet when you have Eren and Mikasa...I loved this song when it was released during Season 2, but this version is so beautiful as well (loved loved loved T-KT being played towards the end and Mikasa thanking Eren) and it hits so hard after reading the latest chapter. It's been a pleasure following this story with all of you. Thank you Mr. Isayama for literally everything! I will for sure reminisce my glorious attack on titan days fondly. Mikasa and Armin, thank you so much, and I hope you get to live very happy lives now. To the boy who sought freedom, goodbye. You are free.

I admit that the ending wasn't the greatest, but sht there are panels that shattered my heart. Particularly Eren's conversation with Armin about his feelings for Mikasa, and the bird fixing Mikasa's scarf.
For me, it was seeing Jean, Connie, and every else returned to their human forms. Eren finally succeeded in doing what he said he would, back when Shiganshina fell, and wiped out all the Titans.
Not to mention, it had some of the most beautiful manga panels I've seen
On a more light-hearted note, Gabi and Falco made me laugh like hell before I could move to the next panel.

The whole manga is not a one time reading, there is many pieces that makes sense only when you know the context and outcome it's really incredible.
It's really hurts my soul that some people shit on it because of their headcannons didn't come true. I was with these characters for 10 years and hold them dear, to believe i'm grown ass man now and this still makes me shed tears.
Not it isn't , in fact it ages like fine wine. The more time goes , the better it gets. The more you look back at the chapters and connect the dots , the more understandable it is.
Exactly. To me, the ending did feel rushed but going back to the series, there are moments where its pretty clearly hinted that the concept of fate was playing a major part. If you go back in ch 122, Eren says to Ymir. "Were you the one who led me here?" Then in 123 and 131, both Mikasa and Eren says everything was already set in stone. Then we have ending 2 of aot which came wayy back in 2013 where it looks like Eren is like a puppet while the Attack Titan appears behind him and the biggest one was his final form where it literally looked like a puppet.
What Kenny said- "everyone was a slave to something"- make this ending even more meaningful as we can see Eren's obsession with freedom. But as the story progress, we see Eren realizing that he could never be free but the one thing he can do is to become the Devil (because he had the conviction to throw away his humanity) in order to save Mikasa and Armin and everyone else which becomes his biggest mission. I think thats why Grisha was crying so much while he gave the AT to child Eren because he knew how much burden he's going to put on his son after future Eren showed him what his real intentions are.

I think the ending was perfect. Its just that at the end eren's emotions didn't resonate with the character that he had been potraying all this time.. but we must remember that this was what he wanted from the beginning, he wanted his people and his friends to be free and live on.. and for that he was willing to go to any lengths.. even if he had to kill his own mother.
Well everything aside, Mikasa's last line was pretty emotional

I just wanna say that this anime changed my life. i REMEMBER the first ever day i was introduced to anime which was attack on titan seeing Eren's mum get eaten. Aughhhh man life sucks, everything is gonna come to an end. I didnt want this anime to finish but it is what it is. I wanna thank Isayama for these 11 years and and im happy ive met with thi AOT spoiling pricks community and Fanbase. Every Journey has a destination and it seems we have arrived.
