Graves era Misfits deserves just as much respect as Danzig era. Two totally different singers but perfect fits for the band. Graves is a fucking beast.
Exactly this band could've fell on it's face with a brand new front man with relatively limited experience. And they created an entirely new era that holds it's own against the original. Danzig and Graves are equally great for their own reasons and both fit the band like a glove.
It's a shame Jerry and Doyle brush off the Graves era . They had nothing .. and Danzig certainly wasn't coming back at the time . Graves basically saved their band during this time

I would not expect that tbh.. but he actually let the whole club talk to him one by one face to face.. i can say that he really have passion for what he is doing and really love his fans.

As a young millenial/old zoomer I only learned of the Misfits after seeing Metallica cover them. Knowing nothing of their history or evilution, I just downloaded a few songs. This song was the very first Misfits track I heard and I thought Danzig sounded really weird compared to their "real" singer lol. How little I knew then. As such, I learned to appreciate both their singers without any bias towards either. Loved this era as a kid, and I came to deeply love Danzig era as an adult.
I saw them open for Megadeth in 97, Megadeth have always been one of my favs, At the time I only had the American Psycho CD by The Misfits, I didnt know too much of their Danzig era songs, maybe the songs Metallica covered, I did enjoy their American Psycho live songs, but if i knew their music as much as I do now, i could have enjoy it a lot more.
