+Animashaun Oriyomi (YourMe) A standard snap switch from home depot can be connected. It is just a contact closure with not voltage per se but since it comes in on the line voltage side of the panel, it must be wired per NEC standards.

It will get the Microphone closer to you, and help eliminate the noise of the room. Or if possible, using a 2nd person for the sound, and using a Boom Mic.
