Think Morris dancing is all bells and hankies and tea with the vicar? Think again.
Welcome to the Dark Side of Folk

I've watched this so many times the dancing and music amazing, So I'm off to watch it again 😁
Have you seen them live?
Lively, good corography, a very good watch, nice one ...
Hi Mike, that was the first time seeing them. They have lots of dancers and musicians and they are very good.
It must feel just grand in a female's soul to do that! Huzzah, Sisters!
Brilliant. Wish I had been there xxx
It was a brilliant day Dianne, I have never seen so many Morris sides.
What fun!
A brilliant side.
Proper morris dancing.
Beltane bring a new life to the tradition, superb!
It is fantastic to see so many dancers out with one side.
Makes me feel like moving home just to join them!!@@MorrisDancersUK
Excellent❤
I'm a Kiwi who has never heard of Morris dancing until recently. I still don't know what Beltane Border means. Not only does the dancing look really cool, but it looks like a really good form of cardio exercise. I'm guessing it takes countless hours of practice to learn a routine like that. Well done guys!
Hi, you can find out more about that "Side" or group here. www.beltaneborder.co.uk/
Thanks❤
Brilliant, thank you!
Love it!
Hey Ya!!!
What is this song called?
Hi, I have been informed that it is a traditional tune called King of the Fairies.
I think it is called “EEEEEYAAAAHHH”

It's probably a misnomer to call this 'Morris Dancing'. Whilst entertaining, it bears little resemblance to traditional Morris Dancing.
Does it have to? A hundred years ago did Riverdance exist? Were cowboys Line dancing or "boot scooting " 100 years ago?
It's Border Morris, a different tradition. Do a little reading, perhaps. You have no right to play the gatekeeper.
Formerly known as the west-midlands style of morris the 'Border' concept dates from the early 1960's.
The use of sticks is a late 17th century development.
